Hello everyone!

I dropped off here for a while, I didn't realise how long it had been until I'd seen all the posts I'd missed!

I've been captivated by Getorf's POAS thread!

Varicose hope you're getting on ok! Very excited for you! My friend had her DS2 at 34+5. Perfect little boy who had a few feeding probs at first but other than that was fine and healthy. He's now 9 months and so yummy and smiley!

Jack amazing news about the girls! You must be thrilled to be home Grin. That's really fantastic! Well done Lucy and Katie!

Nowt much to report here! Feeling ok, baby very active. Had MW check up today and have appt with consultant to discuss delivery options. She made me have the flu jab and has put me on iron tablets as it's low but other than that, can't complain!

WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 18:54

Meant to add Needtosleep, that 8lbs isn't too big you'll be fine! DD was 8 lbs 7.5 and I'm very petit so I'm panicking a bit with this one as she looked like a chunker on the 4d scan. I'm going to see the consultant to see if I can either deliver early or have an elective CS as 2nd babies tend to be bigger and there'll be no way on this earth that I'll be able to get a 9 pounder out! Everyone gasps when I tell them the size of DD (but only because I'm small as it's not really that big in medical terms).

wigglesrock · 13/01/2011 18:55

PDR definitely think I'm a bit bigger than you but it depends what I wear Grin

I have set up a profile page but couldn't get bits of it to work Blush Thrown in some pictures of dds. Still full of aches and pains - realise I now sound like my granny.

re: Delivery room bag - I usually just throw in clean pjs, underwear, toiletries for yummy bath after, for baby - vest, nappy, bib, babygro. But as I've said before I don't usually go down to delivery suite until almost ready to go!!

ledkr · 13/01/2011 18:58

wine, crisps, chocolate and fags and lighter Grin only joking girls

ledkr · 13/01/2011 18:59

oh yers and dont forget your size 10 jeans and thong.

WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 19:00

Aw, Wiggles your girls are lovely!!!! Grin

Ledkr that sounds good, apart from fags!

ledkr · 13/01/2011 19:44

oh wandering i dont want you to think im a fagger,i used to have a sneaky one when i got drunk which wasnt often,dh hates it.
This baby is going mental, does anyone else find it a bit annoying esp when watching eastenders.

40Weeks · 13/01/2011 20:02

Hello again wandering glad all is under control.

Have been v naughty and had some parma ham, salami and bread with oil & balsamic. Dh also brought home some naughty choc desserts which have to be eaten today! What WILL we do with those cookies....?

Ledkr your comment about the thong made me snigger haven't been able to bring myself to wear one since ds1 was born! Ha ha thanks god for French knickers!

All my under bump clothes are too tight to wear for long, am loving leggings and PJs!

40Weeks · 13/01/2011 20:06

Oh and wandering I reckon you would be fine with a 9lb-er, esp if your second. The head won't be any bigger and that's the hard bit! The rest is just a bit of extra chub here and there Wink that's what my nct teacher used to say, esp as the Drs can put the frighteners on you when it comes to size

NeedToSleepZZZ · 13/01/2011 20:12

thanks wandering, think i'm the same as you in that quite petite normally so bit Shock as to birth but most of all glad he's growing well.

had consultant this pm and have been given the all clear for homebirth, so happy Grin! my blood pressure has dropped again and need to go on the dreaded iron tablets (cue constipation and black poo, great!) but other than that all's well.

talking about maternity clothes not fitting anymore, i'm so pleased i'm not the only one and must admit to being part of delias club in only putting real clothes (not pjs) when going out or have visitors other than close family Blush Whoever designed maternity jeans needs shooting, my over and under the bump ones now cut into baby's head (well, that's how it feels!) and I'm going to sell them.

PDR you have a very neat bump, think i'm slightly bigger but hard to tell! i asked my mum today if i had a neat bump and she laughed and said it was a funny shape because his bum keeps sticking out making it look weird Hmm thanks mum! i might pluck up the courage to stick another pic up in a bit.

ledkr i must be very hormonal as your DH's text made me go all funny! he sounds like a sweetie really! oh, and i was a fagger and still miss it a lot, i don't drink or do anything else it was my only vice, now i'm an angel obviously

PDR · 13/01/2011 20:31

Wiggles your girls are lovely!

I thought everyone wore "house clothes" if they weren't planning on going out? Blush Both me and DH have a fine selection of house clothes - DH prefers to wear shorts and tshirt in the house Hmm as is from a hot country and makes him feel at home! He always cranks the heating up as well but I turn it off at the thermostat Grin

I can still fit into my I. Oliver trousers of which I have 2 pairs and just wear one, wash one every day! They are so comfy but still look quite smart. I was planning on putting them on eBay after baby is born but may keep them to add to my "house clothes" collection. Tops wise I have some of the longline vests from Next Maternity and I can still JUST about get away with wearing normal tops if I wear a vest underneath. Does get a bit hot sometimes though!

Sorry that's a bit of an essay all about me Blush but some of you may be bored so I'll leave it on here Wink!

I am really hoping that as it's my second time:
a) the baby will be on time or dare I say it early
b) my labour will be shorter
c) I will have some clue what to do with the baby once he arrives Confused

WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 21:04

Lol Ledkr don't worry I didn't think you were, I knew you were kidding - I just meant the wine and other stuff sounded good! Grin In my local hospital the MWs watch the baby while you nip out for a fag!

WanderingSheep · 13/01/2011 21:10

Oh and thanks 40weeks that's reassuring! Smile

My maternity jeans are starting to dig in too so I usually have my PJs on if I don't have to go out. DD keeps asking me why I have my pyjamas on with a Hmm look. She called me lazy before, little bugger!

ledkr · 13/01/2011 21:24

need to funny re dh nice text,i just called him as i was outing dd to bed and noticed there was no loo roll in the bathroom.Eventually he appeared and ssid it annoys him when i call down a all he can hear is a muffled voice.I lost it and stormed downstairs myself telling him i called cos i am carrying hid ridiculously huge child for him and cannot manage the stairs easily,i was puffing like mad on way back up and told him not to come to bed tonight and he was a "very rude word, very rude" he was Shockas is a mild mannered type.I will post a pic tomorrow as need him to take it and now may not be the time.

wigglesrock · 13/01/2011 21:29

wanderingsheep in hospital where I had dds the midwives had to bang on the toilet doors in the middle of the night to get the smokers to come out, reminded me of being back at school and getting caught smoking by the vice-principal Blush

I'm still ok in my leggings, went with sister to see florist and she turned to me at end of appt and said "oh I didn't realise you are pregnant", first of all I was "oh that's nice" and then I thought "hold on I look like Daddy Pigs bigger brother, bit of a fibber Hmm"

PDR · 13/01/2011 21:31

ledkr glad it's not just my DH annoying me! Last night at NCT class (went alone again as lazy fucker DH doesn't want to come) the leader was saying about how you would want your partner to stroke your hair and back in labour etc etc and I had to stop myself from saying I don't want him anywhere near me Wink

ledkr · 13/01/2011 21:32

40wks
I havent worn a thong since i was in a changing room and thought i was sharing it with a sumo wrestler.
wanderingwhen i had dd this common girl was bought in after c section, she kept wailing for "a fag" after a bit a mw came and attached this little perspex cot to her bed for her ds to go in so he could be near her,the lady in the next bed said "Whats that an ashtray?"

ledkr · 13/01/2011 21:39

pdr they annoy you when not interested dont they,i had some really weird movements earlier and called dh to watch he can only manage about 5 seconds until he has to look back at the tv then misses it.
I am so getting my own back after,he can flippin well get up in the night i feel ive earned the rest.

ZeroMinusZero · 13/01/2011 21:57

40weeks thanks so much for that link, it's a brilliant website and we are probably going to book our holiday on it this weekend! First holiday with a baby Shock eeek!

I have uploaded another picture of me if anyone is brave enough to look :)

NeedToSleepZZZ · 13/01/2011 22:18

zero I like your top, and you look great! I've uploaded another one of bump too....

ledkr I HATE thongs, they are the work of the devil and meant for models only Angry. My OH is the same with watching baby move, so he always misses the big acrobatic moves. Good for you telling him off like that, just when I thought he was doing better!

hope varicose is doing okay and that she comes and tells all soon. since joining mn i've become sooo nosy!

ledkr · 13/01/2011 22:49

i feel bad for always slagging off dh,he is really lovely and would die for me doesnt go out drinking and is completely trustworthy. He is just lazy-but works hard-spoilt maybe-easily distracted-i dont know how to describe it.I like stuff done whereas he leaves it till the last minute. He is very loving and romantic but that wont raise a baby will it?Hope the baby makes him take responsibility.
Stil annoyed with him now tho grin

tadjohndoryp · 14/01/2011 00:04

If it vents your frustration ledkr - there is no harm done, is there?! I'm easily pissed off at the moment, but dh is often away so I can't take it out on him anyway! Smile

Dreya · 14/01/2011 00:32

Hello! I'm due 1st of Feb. I can't keep up with all the posts and have sadly missed loads. I am going to red through them now...

Needtosleep good news that you got the ok to have a home birth. Are you planning a water birth?
I too hate thongs but used to wear them all the time. Since being pregnant I have been loving big knickers and firm support bras without underwires and I really think they are the way forward! Never thought I would ever say that.

I have just uploaded the most recent pic of my bump and will have a little nosey at all yours. Needtosleep I too have become very nosey since joining MN. Grin And we have taken the pram out of the box and assembled it. I have been wheeling it around the house! I am now just sitting admiring it and I feel really emotional. It's just a pram. I have been slightly obsessed with it for ages. DH caught me stroking it Blush...is this normal behaviour?!

tadjohndoryp · 14/01/2011 00:41

Bloody hell dreya you look great!

WanderingSheep · 14/01/2011 06:46

Morning! Anyone else up?

God Dreya you're gorgeous! Envy Envy Envy I hope I never meet you in RL, I'd feel like an ugly dwarf! (just kidding Smile )
