ginhag · 12/01/2011 22:07

Oh, and I'm off to annoy and baffle the physio again tomorrow. Obviously the bit that was sticking out is still sticking out, and the stupid bastard pain is the same so unless she has purchased some highly effective magic beans since last time I doubt we are going to get beyond acknowledging that my ribs look weird and are hugely painful.

Can I have my baybee soon please? Tho it's still a bit too soon at the moment I guess

Muser · 12/01/2011 22:14

It's still a bit early gin. Can you hold out for 3 weeks? That'll be 37 and full term.

Fuck.

ginhag · 12/01/2011 22:15
HalleLouja · 12/01/2011 22:19

You don't want a baby at 34 weeks [been there and done that emoticon] oh and be careful what you wish for. The days my waters broke I was hoping I didn't go over my due date. Boy child is fine just was stressful at the time. Also, have to be looked after by doctor this time but do get bonus scans.

CluckyKate · 12/01/2011 22:27

Sorry to hear of the headbutting incident Meds - hope you're not too sore and bruised tomorrow. Here - have a medicinal gin.

Cadburys Roses Gin???

Good to hear it's not just me chuffing around ...not only do I look like Nelly the Elephant but I sound like her too.

ginhag · 12/01/2011 22:28

Am not seriously wishing for it. However, as mooch was induced at 40+14 and still didn't want to come out, and I have now been in shed loads of pain for over 3 months (and I am not a wuss about these things) I would quite like to have this baby a bit sooner. Obviously I am not a selfish twat that would like my baby to be put at risk, be in a SCBU etc....

ginhag · 12/01/2011 22:29

Consultant care for me too this time round...

Scorpette · 12/01/2011 22:50

OOOUCH, Medee! Glad you're okay and the bump got nuffink but a free bungee ride

Gin, don't worry, we all know you don't wish preemie probs on your baybee. When I had a week of 24-7 migraines before Xmas, I jokingly asked TYF to Google how prem you can request a cs without it being bad for baybee, because just saying it made me feel like I had some power over the pain, even though I didn't mean it At All. Good news about the move in the near future, BTW. Sounds like it's going to be faberoonie

You lot disgust me with your tales of flatulence. I never trump and have certainly not done any pf guffs so heinous that I have to run out of the room. Nor do I spend the first 15 mins of every day sat up and lent to one side filling the room with pent-up noxious fumes. No sirree bob!

BTW, about my pre-eclampsia comment earlier: I am not worried myself, but I have a big red-pen note in my notes telling me to ring my MW or Doc if I develop Oedema and/or visual disturbances, because I already have severe reflux and non-stop headaches, which can all be signs of pre-eclampsia. So I rang my MW and she agrees with my gut reaction that I'm probably just unlucky with my preggo probs and they are coincidentally similar to p-e. Fucking hope so, anyway.

My feet look hilarious. As my ankles are still thin, feet look like I've had Shallow Hal-style prosthetics applied to them! Confused

HalleLouja · 13/01/2011 06:29

I was born at 40 plus 14 and didn't want to shift either. I think 37 weeks would be perfect.

PerfectDromedary · 13/01/2011 07:11

Wondering how our ChooChooTrain is doing? Hope all's well.

laurielou · 13/01/2011 08:45

Meds how's the head this morning? That sounded pretty ouchy.

Gin your ribs sound painful. And it must be, as we all know you're a DHB. House move sounds positive though.

Scorps how are the cankles this morning? This is one of the good things about being lardy to start with - I can't say I've swollen more anywhere (apart from tum area). That was aching last night.

I hope feet don't grow - I'm a size 7 to start with! And I've cheered myself up buying loads of shoes during diffment, as I feel my clothes are going to be limited. Have decided diff wardrobe is going to be dull/same clothes + fab shoes/bags/scarves/jewellery.

I did trump on Mr Loz's leg the other day when he cuddled into me in bed Blush. I pretended to just still be asleep, oh the shame. I just can't bring myself to openly trump in front of him. He does not have the same inhibitions....

I'm just going to my regular yoga class as the moment, which does have moments of woo. But its always the best night's sleep I have. I've been given a diff-yoga book & even the picture of 1 lady in there sends me into a rage, so I'm not sure a diff-yoga DVD is for me.

I had a lovely evening - bath, lounge on sofa watching 3 episodes of True Blood and perving over vampires, foot rub from Mr Loz & eating some chocolate. Tis not a bad life really Grin

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 10:00

Ouch meds do be more careful Wink Hope you are not too bruised this morning!

gin i feel for you :( ribs sound so poorly, at least there is good news about the house! Its funny you don't appreciate what a difference good neighbours make until you have shit ones do you?

Dunno if the yoga helped with sleeping really, i still woke up loads of times but at least i drifted back to sleep instead of pinging wide awake at 4. All i know is I farted all the way home so must have been relaxing :o

And my afternoon of swim and Greys watching with my BF has been cancelled as her work have announced there will be large scale redundancies so she has to go to loads of consultation meetings this avo. fretting for her now :( Is a shitey shit thing.

Medee · 13/01/2011 10:14

Thanks for the concern ladies. Awoke this morning with just a slightly swollen eyelid (rather than the predicted black eye) and the same level of pain in the top of my back, so don?t think I have given myself whiplash or anything! I can?t believe after 6 weeks of snow and ice in which I have stayed on my feet at all times, I fall over in my own front room, over, ironically enough, the thing which is meant to help relieve pregnancy-related pain!

Exciting house news, gin.

Differed-specific yoga seems to be good lou as we focus on various breathing techniques which will help in labour, and the selection of postures is all geared to the pelvic and back areas, and also optimal foetal positioning.

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 10:29

is 20 weeks to early to buy nursery furniture? TB keeps finding all these amazing bargains that I am itching to buy... :o

loz i would defo recommend a diffspecific yoga class, you can adapt normal yoga but as meds said the breathing and adjusted postures are a bit different.

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 10:30

plus they are FREEEEEE!

CluckyKate · 13/01/2011 10:40

I'd go for it Rocky - no point in losing out on a bargain for the sake of superstition and good to get these things done as time will soon run out

kimdeal · 13/01/2011 10:44

Scorps I got massive feet the week junior arrived - beyond odd - but that's just me and my usually bony bits.
I will try n track down that hideous CD for you - our gaff (as you may've seen from piccies) was building site at that time so loads of things now gone god knows where. Hoping I find it... Do look into a course tho - had it not been for last min med issues (which I wont go into here) I think the birth wld have been more or less pain-free and tickety. Best thing to liken it to is a weird trip - whaddya reckon, Gin? (Hurrah, mis-spent youth suddenly well-spent!)

Talking of Gin - smooch. I would offer to rub your ribs but even writing that makes me feel vaguely ill. Buuuuuuuuuuundle.

Medee - arghhh - preg sux ey. But you know, 7 mths the other side, and am thinking of it again (previous anti-baybee laydee reporting here).

Bless their little cotton sockettes. HAhahah.

kimdeal · 13/01/2011 10:49

Clucky all that crap about masses of freezer food - how long does it take to cook an M&S pizza? Or some stuffed pasta? Nuclear winter it aint. Wet poo-nappy-bag vom-filled days it can be, mind. So do stock up on muslins and don't do what I did and cogitate over whether it was a bit OTT to get two batches of nappies, or whether one was surely enough.

kimdeal · 13/01/2011 10:55

Sorry Clucky we haven't even met - xx and you're right, pack yer blumin hospital bag now, and don't forget flip-flops and a bottle of water.

Right better go now - good luck big friends. Am jealous of you - amazing how fast you forget...

Muser · 13/01/2011 11:01

Do it rocket and point me in the direction of the bargains.

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 11:01

We have a tiny freezer so thats not an option anyway, like you say fresh pasta/ pizza/stirfry/salad is going to be mainstay, lucky i am due in summer!

Cheers clucky I have ordered it, so now i have two long sleeve tops, 2 bibs (that i forgot i impulse ordered of JLP when getting TBs shoe racks) and some highly impractical shelves so cute! Its all TBs fault tho, i was just going to use the monsters we already have in here, but in hind site these will take up a LOT less room and will look tonnes better, never mind they have about a 1/4 the storage space!

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 11:03

flip flops, another reason i am glad am due in summer.

Scorpette · 13/01/2011 11:47

Cheers, Kimdeal. I'd love to do a hippo course but we can't really afford one (dunno about rest of UK, but they are several hundred ££ round here). We have to buy a new car, as TYF's loyal rustbucket is actually so old that it can't fit a car seat in the back! We need more Deal baybees in the world, get TTC again soon Wink

Can I just say that I DON'T HAVE CANKLES! I have big fat bloated feet. Sorry - I just have an insane amount of vanity about having nice ankles and find the mere suggestion of them bloating up more upsetting than the heinous stretchmarks currently ruining my lower half!

But yes, Loz, I sadly still have have comedy puffy pieds. Putting them up yesterday and a night's sleep haven't helped. The only thing that fit are a hideous pair of fake Uggs that someone bought me as an Xmas pressie yeeears ago. Zexy. Or sandals, which are no use at the mo.

Medee, sorry to hear about your swollen eye and hurty back. Maybe a sensual nekkid massage would help... ?

rocketleaf · 13/01/2011 12:00

aww poor swollenscorps :( you don't have much luck do you. so putting them up hasn't helped? maybe if you massage them a bit?

Just wanted to let you all know about this ridiculous bargain of a cot. the only drawback is that it doesnt have drop sides, so for any of you that don't have a fooked back it will be ok. cot

CluckyKate · 13/01/2011 12:25

Hey Kim - you are absolutely right....will hotfoot it to Sainsbos to stock up on nappies, maternity pads, breast pads etc. (is save 1/3 on all baby stuff this week).
Have already bought 2 kilos of mince to cook-up food - just need to get cooking it before it goes off as been sat in fridge for a week already and starting to go brown Hmm

Just had fear-release sesh with the Hippo-lady - was ver relaxing and I've visualised a 4-hour home sneeze in the pool for this baby....oh yeah!

Birth pool also now sorted - borrowing fer free from local hombirth group. Top banana!!

I'm on a roll....right, now for some lunch. Supernoodles anyone???
