Hi all, I think using the new stats is a much better idea, will save trawling through and updating the old ones, and will avoid causing anyone any pain to anyone if they are left on by accident. Hope you are well meltobe
.
dundun I have already told my boss; I figured that if I have any time off it will be better if it's chalked down to pg, rather than me slacking. He was really pleased for me, although we are a charity and in danger of closing down due to lack of funds, so expect he could do without the stress of paying for maternity cover next year! I don't think there is a wrong or right time to tell, go with your gut instincts I think.
Takethat sorry you're feeling so awful I second the advice about fizzy water - I mix it with Ribena
. I would also highly recommend boiled sweets. My nausea has really eased off the last few days, but I had mouth ulcers all last week from the amount of sweets I was sucking! It really helped though.
Jasmine I understand how difficult your situation is; I have two friends who have mc'd recently (9 and 11 weeks). Vintage members may remember me writing about the awful booboo I made with one of them; she was one of the first people I told; we met up for a drink and I blurted the news out to her 2 days after I found out. She then told me that she had mc'd a few weeks before and had an ERPC but had told no-one
. I felt truly terrible, but we have met up since and she is being very gracious and lovely, and is very excited for me.
My other friend is not such a close friend, but I knew about her miscarrying, and I emailed her this week and told her about pg before she potentially hears about it from other friends in our group. I am a bit worried that she has not replied yet, and am hoping it's purely because she hasn't checked her emails in a few days...
Millie my temper is so short with my lovely boy at the moment, I feel terrible about it some days! He is also watching loads more Cbeebies than he should be, because I just don't have the energy to play much with him
.
Daisyfields I really hope for your sake your birthmark doesn't start lactating! Imagine the extra cost in breastpads, and special 3-cup feeding bras!!!
. If it makes you feel any better, I am quite moley, and developed loads of new ones in my 1st pg, mostly over my boobs. They have not gone
.
Hope everyone else is well and happy, and very happy to hear about all the good news at scans. I am a bit worried because my son has been in contact with chicken pox last week; pretty sure I had it when young, but if he gets it there's still a chance I could catch it a second time, and I think it can be dangerous if you're pregnant. Apart from that, no news, just waiting for that scan letter to pop through the letetrbox now...
I am going to be daring and add myself to the stats, even though it's quite early days and I've not had a scan yet...
