Gaga I didn't have a doula but I had a friend who would like to be a doula one day instead. She has had two home births and she was amazing. I would love to be someone's doula (but not one who goes back to the house for the first two weeks and does all the ironing).

I'm cheap - I do it for fifty quid and a bag of daim bars...

muser I had a touch of sciatica, unfortunately I didn't really find anything which helped but obviously lots of cushions/pillows can help you at least try for a little comfort. I found painkillers didn't really touch it. :( It came and went - some days better than others. Not sure if you'll be up for trying this, but the most comfortable position I could find was on my horse in the saddle! It just seemed to support my hips/pelvis/legs in exactly the right way.

Acupuncture really helped with my sciatica muse if it turns out to be that it might be worth a shot (is there anything acupuncture isn't good for? apart from needle phobia maybe?)

Working from home today because of the snow, yey! Actually the journey home since it snowed has been the easiest for months, I guess because everyone else shit themselves and POE, shhh don't tell my work.

Weird prego symptom No.1*, I'm sure I am less hairy, my eyebrows don't need plucking as often and I am sure the very faint (VERY faint i tell you) tache I was growing is diminishing. Pah at least estrogen is good for something other than growing babies and fucking up ones internal organs.

Weird prego symptom No.2, I cried, yes actual tears, at the description of the baybee on my differs ipod app this morning. Jesus I need to HTFU.

Weird prego sympton No.3 having some very strange and active dreams, the other night I dreamt we got in an very dirty fist fight because TB was being so hideous to me. I woke myself up by chickenwinging poor lovely real life TB in the back, then lay awake for ages alternately giggling and feeling guilty for thinking bad thoughts about my lovely bloke.

What's everyone up to today?

I was stuck between Shadwell and Bank. Which is a rubbish place to be stuck. I was going to go back to Canary Wharf but the Tower Gateway train turned up first. So I am in the office. And, naturally, the meeting I decided I wanted to go to has been cancelled.

Tomorrow I'm just working at home.

Right, nearly new fred time. Who's starting it?

This morning I shall mostly be repeat watching video of TinyNephew and cooing. Tis very cute.

Morning all. It definitely feels wrong that I am near the top of the list. It is just weird. You'd think I'd have gotten used to the idea over the last 8 months, but it seems not. I still can't make up my mind whether I want to lay early or late. I guess there is not much point putting too much thought into as I will have little say in the matter!

We have snow at last, only a couple of inches but our village is miles from anywhere and no-one has left yet. Ye gods though... Sainsburys got through with my delivery, hoo-fucking-rah! At last I can have a cup of tea. If only I'd remembered to order the basics though, like milk and onions.

TG is upstairs working on his book - the agent he wants to submit to has finally opened a window for submissions (they only do it for a few weeks a year) so he is doing a quick edit of the first few chapters. How exciting! I am keeping Boo entertained with a dvd of Hong Kong Phooey - she is loving it, that's ma girl. We are going to put the tree up later - might has well make use of TG while he is at home.
