That floats on high o'er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
Of cackling, quaffing, ne-er-do-wells

Pull up a seat, grap a glass of vino and a piece of sushi, it's Delitime again.

Make that 22 as we're are now halfway through today Grin Grin Grin

Scorpette · 22/11/2010 13:36

Milky milky! Am so glad I got all the info here in advance, so I won't panic if I get tango tit-juice in the future Grin

Glad everything was as it should be, Meds :) Hope MrM's results come in soon. Must be weird to get milk (in a good way).

Rocket, I got a pg yoga DVD off Amazon (the Tara Lee one), but the description on the back of a 70 minute full routine tired me so much I had to have a little lie down. Confused

I am currently having a vile feeling in my tum - imagine how your stomach fluctuates and wibbles and feel all feverish if you're really travel sick/on a rollercoaster*/got a bad tummy bug. Well, mine feels like that 24-7 but without any nausea. Add to that the fact that the drucks don't take away all the acid pain and you have a grumpy ole Scorps Angry

*I'm guessing - as someone who was so travel sick as a child that I could vomit twice before the car got down the end of our road, I've never been on a rollercoaster except when some pals tricked me onto a weedy medium-level one when we were in the 6th form but I vreaked my rewengay by vomiting all over them Exorcist-stylee as soon as we got off Grin Why I'm surprised pg is fucking with my stomach so much, I do not know!

rocketleaf · 22/11/2010 15:30

chortle at 'tango tit juice'

ladygeeee the trick with green tea is to wait a full minute before pouring, that way you should avoid the bitter taste. well this is what BIL tells me, I don't drink it as it tastes of garlic to me.

Medee · 22/11/2010 15:51

Orange? Oh well, at least I know now, rather than being alarmed when it happens.

Medee · 22/11/2010 19:14

forgot to add, had my low Downs risk confirmed as 1 in 474, so that was good to know.

Muser · 22/11/2010 19:39

Great stuff Medee.

I am slightly freaked out by the idea of orange tit juice. No evidence of any here.

Hello all! Sorry I haven't been around for a while, I've been having a very exciting weekend!!!

It was my birthday on Sat, and it was a big one, the FC bought my friend and I tickets to see Wicked (more of a cunning move on his part, he REALLY didn't want to have to go) and then lots of us (including the lovely hb) went to see Blood Brothers, before coming home to a wonderful party at home - which I can actually REMEMBER, and I didn't make a show of myself - brilliant! My back was killing me by the end though, too much standing in heels - I did try to sit down, but every time I tried I could see something fun happening, and the attention seeker inside me meant I just HAD to get up & join in. I also stood on chair to make my thank you speech - do you think I have harmed my baybee?? Thank you so much to hb, Mr & Mrs Cho, and Mr & Mrs Drom for coming and being such lovely company! Excellent Rock Band work from you all!

In other news, I spent three weeks training my replacement who then resigned. Bugger. I now have three days to train my replacement - they'd better not make me to work another week!!

So sorry to hear so many of you are feeling ill. Gall stones and crutches, pol and rocket, you really are getting the tough end of this pregnancy lark aren't you?

Hope you haven't caught a cold score.. I haven't caught one in years, being healthy like a cart horse, and I mock the FC every year for his weak immune system and his man flu. But I reckon I might not be so lucky this year, especially as I am carrying male genes....!!

Medee · 22/11/2010 20:35

sounds like a fab birthday, MrsFC!

I was wearing my white bra today, and there is indeed a slight hint of orange, but just that, a hint - we're not in tango territory!

Muser · 22/11/2010 21:56

Sounds like a perfect birthday MrsFC. Wish I could have been at the party. Big smoochy birthday kisses to you.

I have new stretchmarks. Boo hiss! I knew they'd appear, I am prone to them. Just as well I never was a bikini wearer.

I am currently sulking because I have to buy Christmas presents and all I want to spend my money is on baby clothes. I think I may be a tad hormonal.

rocketleaf · 22/11/2010 22:11

mrs your weekend sounds fabulous! I am rather jealous of the rock band action!

I have just been crying on the phone with my sister, with laughter that is. She was telling me about Anne Geddes then made me google her and amongst the pictures we found this website. For some reason we found this highly amusing and have had to put the phone down as we couldn't stop laughing hysterically. Are we evil? (or just childish) I feel a bit bad for the poor kid now but its seriously funny when seen in relation to original I particularly like the half potato placed to one side of the pumpkin on the 3rd photo. Anne Geddes does indeed have a lot to answer for :o

Scorpette · 23/11/2010 00:26

Excellent news about your Down's results, Medee :)Is such a relief, innit.

Muser, I already have some stretchmarks. Am going to look like a purple zebra by next Spring Sad

Am not talking to MrsFC, because I wasn't invited. HARUMPH Also because she never gets colds (has clearly been sending them my way all this time). But I will begrudgingly bestow birthday gropes and smooches

I'm suffering from such appalling preggo nasal congestion anyway that I doubt I'd even notice a cold on top of that Angry

CurlyCasper · 23/11/2010 07:45

quick catch up!

Congrats to all who have had good test results, but "boooooo!" to the various ailments ambushing Deli residents. poo - sorry to hear of another ESH SPD case. Hope the crutches are helping. Only a month (or maybe a week!) to go Smile

Happy birthday mrsFC Sounds like you had a fab time.

scorps No one to give hand me downs? Well, as soon as your 20-weeker confirms presence of a little girl in your tum tum, I shall start labelling the bags/boxes of stuff accumulating here.

Grin at orange tit juice! I never had anything but clear liquid until my milk came in. Weirdly, despite stopping BFing about 3 months ago, I still having milk when I give my nips a little nudge. Confused

Hope this Tuesday finds you all well.

Right, off to deal with Screamer.

maswera · 23/11/2010 08:54

I too haz the orange stuff. My first experimental squeeze produced some colourless sticky stuff, but now it's orangey-yellow. I am trying not to keep messing in case it all runs out and my baybee doesn't get any colostrum coz I used it all up going 'ooh look - orange stuff'

Muser · 23/11/2010 10:03

Don't worry mas, maybe Polly will queue jump. It is the ESH way.

Can I mention how much I love my new body pillow? It is very squishy and as long as me. I can have it under the bump a bit, then between knees and ankles so I don't get leg cramps. And it is very nice to cuddle and does not snore like certain other things in my bed. And it was under £20 on Ebay. Bargains. I did not want to get out of bed this morning.

OP posts:
Medee · 23/11/2010 10:33

I need a new pillow - the little Mothercare wedge pillow is now too small.

Muser · 23/11/2010 11:00

I got mine from hatchers-online on Ebay Medee. £11.95 plus postage.

OP posts:
Medee · 23/11/2010 11:03

thanks, I shall check that out.

PollyPoo · 23/11/2010 11:16

The thought of queue jumping makes me go 'Arghhhh' and 'yes please' all at the same time.

I haven't bought an pg pillows, but I do now have about 8 in my bed for shoving under bump, between knees and ankles and putting behind my back so I don't roll over. It is a good job TG is in the spare room as I don't think there would be enough room for him, poor sod! Still, at least he doesn't have to put up with my snoring. I have woken up with a sore throat today and I can't figure out if I'm getting Boo's cold, or I just snored horrendously last night. Blush

I am feeling most left out. I do not have leaky nips, despite there only being 4 and a bit weeks to go, and neither did I get them last time round. Mind you, I couldn't bf last time either... I hope this is not a sign. Sad On the plus side, I do not have any stretchmarks.

How long til you get your blood results Scoresonthedoor?

Kick to the shins for all of you, sorry if I've forgotten anyone. I am soooo tired today, I think I may go for another nap.

Scorpette · 23/11/2010 11:28

Aw, cheers, lovely AuntyCasp. I don't h'expect nuffinks from no-one, but your generosity is so touching

Do nips stop being so sensitive that you don't screech if you so much as think about them, then? What a joyous day that must be! I can't imagine so much as glancing at mine at the mo, never mind squeezing them (not that I need to yet). Confused And they're miles less sensitive than they were in the 1st tr.!

Have woken up with a headache - of course, because I have a rare busy day. Happyhappy joyjoy! Going to my lovely 91 -yr old Gran's tonight to tell her she's going to be a Great-Grandmother. She adores kids (and me) and I predict tears and immense happiness. HOORAH! :)

Scorpette · 23/11/2010 11:33

Blood results could be as early as tomorrow, you un-stretchmarked bitch! Wink

Medee · 23/11/2010 12:24

Polly according to the books, leaking or not leaking pre-delivery is no indication of how well or otherwise breastfeeding will go, so don't fret.

PollyPoo · 23/11/2010 13:08

Thanks for the reassurance Meds. I am really hoping that second time around I will be able to BF. Got to be easier than sterilising and making up formula. Then again, at least with FF it was so easy to get into a proper routine. Boo was sleeping through the night within a week of being put on formula (and she wasn't even 6 weeks). Hope I'm that lucky this time, I really do not function at all on little/broken sleep, I am utterly useless.

Out of interest, is everyone planning to BF, or at least try? My sis made the decision to FF before my niece was born and the topic was never brought up for discussion. I was a bit HmmConfused - why would you not try? Although one old school friend refused to try BF as she did not want to end up with tits like an african tribeswoman. Her words I hasten to add, not mine! I was rather Shock

PollyPoo · 23/11/2010 13:10

Just like to add that I am not BF-nazi and have no problem with whatever choices are made. Just interested is all. I never got to have the discussion with my sis, so don't know her reasons for choosing to FF. I'd have loved to have BF Boo for longer but it wasn't working out and I had no guilt over switching to FF - it was best for her. And for my sanity!

Muser · 23/11/2010 13:24

I want to BF, making up formula seems like such a faff. I am fairly determined to try and make it work and will be using every support group I can find if I have problems. But sometimes it just doesn't work out, so we'll see.

OP posts:
maswera · 23/11/2010 13:53

I'm planning on trying - although the amount it is shoved down your throat by HCPs does make me bristle somewhat.... I have been told countless times about 'the benefits of breastfeeding' but it annoys me that it's so one-sided - what about the disadvantages? There are bound to be some... And what about the support if it doesn't work out? I know it is available, but I think it would be more useful to emphasise that, rather than what 'a good mother should do'
