Just a new thread as I noticed we are near the limit (again)!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
hornedtoadjennyp · 28/10/2010 18:31

Thanks expat and needtosleep. Smile It's nice to be remembered. I am fine really, just a bit concerned about what's going on with him in there. Going for the monitoring of the heartbeat next Thursday and have to have a mole check on Tuesday as well. (I had to have one removed last year which they found to be changing and the hairdresser noticed one on my head had got a lot bigger and had started bleeding). I am not very relaxed at the moment, but enjoying reading everyone else's news and banter. February is not very far away, is it! Shock

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 18:46

gosh jenny that's a lot for one person. hope you can find something that keeps your mind busy in the meantime and sending you lots of strong positive thoughts! february really isn't far now and with christmas to think about i know it's going to go really quickly.

ledkr · 28/10/2010 19:14

jenny poor you were the moles ok last time? What a worry when you need it least.
Am feeing inadequate as dont have the inclination or energy to dream up a seasonal name.Have the motivation of a maggot at the mo.Hope to set a milestone of an xmas one tho.Halloween sems like a big effort as usually have few of dds mates round to trick or treat and have supper but with it being a sunday and me being like this im not so sure.
Been in again today. Breathless got really bad and i had pain in my shoulder. I was absolutley convinced it was a clot and got really upset.Spent the day in hospital had ecg and monitored but nothing seems wrong. I am so tired too and a short walk seems like miles and miles. My mum said i need a second opinion (she is a nurse) as obs are not respiratory specialists so am seeing gp tomorrow.I have no faith in my mw she is nice but dim and cant even remember to leave my health in pg form for me as planned so dont trust her with my health one bit.

ScMacBt · 28/10/2010 19:31

ledkr hugs for you :( hopefully they will refer yo to see someone..So not fun that your feeling so crap.

Midwifes sem to be a bit on the useless side this week...Mine had put me in for an appointment today to see community midwife..I turned up to be told the clinic dosnt even run on a Thursday Angry Could have stayed in all cosy instead of dragging myself away there and back.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 19:37

glad you're going back to gp ledkr, something isn't right. it's probably linked to the anaemia and hopefully something that's easily treated. the pain in your shoulder may be from holding yourself differently to allow more oxygen into your lungs, just an idea. you definitely can't work like that though, please don't consider it!

hornedtoadjennyp · 28/10/2010 19:53

How about livingdeadkr?

ledkr · 28/10/2010 20:01

hahahahha

SlaughteredSheep · 28/10/2010 20:12

Ooh, loving "livingdeadkr" that's good! Mine's crap - I have the imagination of a gnat but I like to get into the spirit!

Jenny, glad you've popped in to say "hi" [hsmile]. That's a pain about the mole and one more thing to worry about Sad. Good luck for next Thursday. I know that I don't "know" you in RL but I have a really strong feeling that it will all be ok and the little fella will still be only making his appearance in Feb.

hornedtoadjennyp · 28/10/2010 21:07

Thanks slaughtered. Smile

ledkr · 28/10/2010 21:27

girlafraid we will be sectioned on the same day. How exciting we can compare pains after haha.
Found another thread re breathlessness, made me feel bit better.
slaughtered i saw you on the sex thread. I cant imagine not doing the deed at the moment its the only bit of pleasure ive got these days and it doesnt make me breathless-sorry dh haha

hubbard86 · 29/10/2010 00:02

just checking in on new thread

Ledkr i have really bad breathlessness and muscle spasms in my back and shoulders which is down to pleuresy ( inflamation of the lining of the lungs ) but being pregnant docs can't do anything as they would pescribe a course of steroids and iboprofen but i'm allergic to iboprofen and steroids could harm the baby. It's very scary sitting there having full ecg and suspected clot and i can really empathise with you. Was in same position last week. Why do hospitals make people so tired??

The list of names doesn't seem to be getting any shorter. I am not the most decisive of people at the best of times. My ds's name was my dads name. So was really easy. The girls name we picked last time (lily) seems to be very popular now. If my ds had his way she would be called monkey as that what he calls my ever increasing tummy. Finding it hard to get inspired by anything.

Sorry for such long post. Brain does way too much spinning around and gab on for far too long. Apologies to all

zerominuszero · 29/10/2010 07:02

hubbard I think Monkey is a lovely name, you wouldn't have the problem of it being too common so it could be really useful finding your child in a crowded playground.... or perhaps not... [hwink]

byronicheroine · 29/10/2010 07:27

Wow - another thread already!!
I've got a midwife appointment today and I've forgotten my notes - that means I'll get a slapped wrist as she is really keen on me having my notes on me At All Times already. I did read that if our babies are born from now on they have a 95% chance of survival with the wonders of modern medicine. I know it's not ideal, but a bit of a comfort. Apparently, from now on all they have to do is put on (more!) fat and practice movements like breathing.
Anyway, 'tis Friday and so I will concentrate on the shopping trip this weekend - more trousers for me and I;ll try and get one of those exercise balls.

janedoe25 · 29/10/2010 07:28

Ohhh a shiny new thread! Hope everyone is good. ledkr i hope you feel better soon.
Jenny I hope everything is ok with you and bump.

I'm just plodding along with work although it is a bit of a struggle at times, i have developed spd and me being a childminder makes it hard work running after little ones!

Hope everyone has a good day x

angels1 · 29/10/2010 07:31

lol at zero and hubbard

jenny I've been/will be thinking of you and hope all goes OK.

ledkr hope GP apt goes OK today - let us know how you go, and enjoy the scan today too. I couldn't sleep all last night as I'm so excited about mine - and that's not until tomorrow!

I'm starting to wonder at what point the sweet little flutters in our tummies turn to painful kicks? Past couple of days I'm feeling some woppers that almost make me jump a little as I'm suprised/not used to them being so strong.

I'm also noticing feeling kicks/movement in my bladder/front of tummy, but I can't feel kicks internally aimed at my organs/insides or high up - not sure if it gets to the point where your intestines etc get a good kicking or if you never really notice this? I apparently have a high anterior placenta if that helps.

Nearly week end (and haloween). I'm starting to wonder if I can think of a clever festive name change or if it's too late [hhmm] .

zerolimbszeroeyeballs · 29/10/2010 10:06

How about darkangel? Aren't dark angels proper, actual mythical beings of some sort?

darkangels1 · 29/10/2010 10:25

thanks zero . I am now a mythical being [hconfused] . I have no imagination. I shall have to start thinking now of a good christmas themed nickname (and there's got to be some good play on words to do with an angel on top of a christmas tree [hwink] ).

americanexpat · 29/10/2010 10:39

jenny - fingers crossed the mole is fine, like you need something else to worry about. Hopefully everything is fine with the baby - wouldn't the doctor have wanted monitoring sooner if he/she had strong concerns?

angels - I sometimes get a kick that really startles me. He gave me a shot to the cervix last week that felt like a foot was going to pop out. I've still not felt any identifiable baby bits, but sometimes I poke at him and he reacts. I've definitely lost my spelling abilities as well, the way I tried to spell identifiable before using spellcheck is truly embarrassing.

knittakid · 29/10/2010 10:43

Could somebody with imagination think of a name for me? the ones that I think of are just not appropriate.

jenny, really really hope everything is fine with you, it's a long wait till Thursday, and with the new mole issue it must be unbereable. Really feel for you and have you in my thoughts.

livingdeadkr good luck at gp, hope they can help.

It seems that last night I eat a bit more than I should've and woke up in the middle of the night feeling horribly sick, stomach really doing funny stuff and baby kicking and turning like crazy, then threw up really violently, so much so that my cat was then scared of going to the toilet, where obviously a really awful thing lived now!!! Hmm
It was quite obvious how the stomach moves up, it was under my ribs!

grigglepuff · 29/10/2010 11:01

Mine is constantly kicking downwards onto my cervix- it's annoying me. I love it when the kicks are more tummy centred but more often than not I just get scary downward kicks- a friend reckons it's definitely a boy because of that torture :)

Off on holiday tomorrow and will be taking my notes with me - feels silly but Just In Case...

good luck with scans- sorry not more personal I'm on iPhone and can't see anything :(

americanexpat · 29/10/2010 11:13

knittacorpse?

Away on holiday myself next week. I'm definitely looking forward to soaking up a bit of sunshine.

darkangels1 · 29/10/2010 11:15

knitta the first thing that sprung to mind (and bear in mind I am useless at this type of thing) was killaknitta [hgrin] .

Btw my spelling brain has completely gone now - I've sat here for 5 minutes trying to work out if I should use 'bear' or 'bare' in the sentence above, and I'm still not sure Confused

ProfessorLaytonIsMyZombieSlave · 29/10/2010 11:41

Split the difference and go for bair... Grin

40Weeks · 29/10/2010 11:43

There is a sexthread ????? [hgrin]

40Weeks · 29/10/2010 11:47

Ha ha sorry ladies what I should have said is hello how are you all doing?

Horned and Ledkr hoping you are doing okay am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear about all the niggles, every one else, this pg things is harder than it looks! When I suggested a vascectomy to DH he said, 'But it really hurts aferwards apparently' and so I said 'So does childbirth and a punch in the beanbags - take your pick' so I think he might consider one [hsmile]

Knitta what about Knittacritter for Halloween or KnittaXmasStocking for Xmas?
