Due July 2011?

1000 replies

MadAboutTheBoys · 24/10/2010 07:42

Just got my BFP this morning and so excited! Managed this conception while DH was out of the country so very chuffed that it worked! Already have two DS, one who is 3.2 and an August birthday and one who is 16 months and a June birthday so bring on the Summer parties!

Have never been part of an antenatal club on here before but as this is planned to be my last pregnancy am hoping to find some other July mums to share the journey with (although know I am very early!) Am already worrying how the birth will go as DS2 was born unexpectedly in the kitchen after a 90 min labour with the midwife only just there to catch him, so am a bit worried if subsequent labours are supposed to go quicker whether I will have anyone with me for this one, but at least I have a while to go yet!

Oh stormbird really feeling for you as my ms was so bad this week dh insisted taking me docs they have prescribed me phenegran which has really really helped me eat and function again only on low dose but would prefer not to take so may not tomorrow night as dh off sunday

sues1974 · 26/11/2010 20:17

Hi stormbird, youre 1 day behind me and haveing your scan one day after me, will be interesting to see if out due dates are still as close. Hope you feel better soon, with a bit of luck it will calm down after week 8, xx

GruffaloMama · 26/11/2010 21:23

Stormbird - that sounds totally rotten. Hope you at least get a half decent night's sleep.

I've been pretty exhausted and waves of nausea but no real ms yet thank god. V tender boobs partic when feeding DS. Hoping it eases off.

Off to London tomorrow to take DS to the Zoo (I am really excited - much more than him!). Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

buttonmoon78 · 27/11/2010 07:41

Poor you stormbird.

I've never had ms with any of my 3 but woke up this morning feeling a little like shite. I could do with that stopping rather promptly!

LadyGoneGaga · 27/11/2010 08:05

Yuck, Stormbird. But hopefully it means your hormones are really strong.

5+2 today. Did another Clearblue Digi and came up Pregnant 3 weeks plus straight away which is a relief that all hormones are going in right direction. And am a cup size bigger already, which happened with DS but not with one I lost at this point. So all good signs Grin

I have an early private scan booked in just before Christmas at 8.5 weeks so on tenterhooks for that!

Snow here this morning - hope everyone has a great weekend.

ZuluWarrior · 27/11/2010 12:31

Sorry to hear about everyone who's feeling rubbish. I seem to remember feeling OK first time around but perhaps I have a bad memory!

Being pregnant after a mc is Hard Work. I'm sure some can identify with this. Every twinge strikes fear into my heart!

It's like a winter wonderland here. Hope you all have a snowy paradise too Smile.

Dynababy · 27/11/2010 13:18

Hey ladies, is it OK to join late please!?

I'm 6+2 today and known for about two and half weeks (feels like a lot longer though!)Just kinda sinking in!This is my first pregnancy and it all happend very quickly (I was expecting several months of ttc).. So excited and nervous and probably justthe same as everyone else at this stage just want some kind of confirmation that the bean is OK!

I've booked in for an early preg scan on the 20th of dec (when I'll be 9+4) so on the count down to that really. Meantime trying to not let on I'm preg and act normal which is very very hard!!

LadyGoneGaga · 27/11/2010 13:29

Hi Dynababy welcome! Come in and have a nice warm mince pie and some mulled wine (been Christmas shopping and welled up at the baby Christmas outfits in Mothercare so feeling festive).

Your scan is same day as me! I'm having an early on too but will be 8+4.

Add your stats when you have a mo. Just copy and paste the last stats and add yourself on.

fallingandlaughing · 27/11/2010 13:55

I couldn't do up my jeans today. I am exactly 6 weeks! Was hoping to delay any clothes shopping til February.

ItIsILeclerc · 27/11/2010 15:53

This is the beauty of still being fat from last time - all my clothes are large round the middle these days Grin

PregnantInParis · 27/11/2010 16:46

Thanks Spannerpants and Whizzbang, fortunately it was good news, everything's going ok and we heard the little heartbeat! Amazing.

However it turns out I'm less far gone than we thought, only 4.5 since conception (even though my last period was on September 28th ... I have atrociously long cycles!) EDD still July 20th though, which is what I'd guessed anyway. Important 12 week scan + blood test booked for January 3rd. Can't wait. Just want December to fly by so we can feel properly reassured and start telling people.

BTW my doc has given me metopimizine for nausea which seems to be helping a bit.

SpannerPants · 27/11/2010 17:43

Brilliant news PregnantinParis!

I know what you mean about wanting December to go quickly - at least with Christmas on the way time seems to be going faster already.

Ivegotmrbitey · 27/11/2010 18:05

Lovely news PiP I know what you mean about December too, wish I could fast forward! spanners is right though Christmas will help the days go by Smile

sues1974 · 27/11/2010 21:07

Evening ladies,
If we think december will go slow how slow will boring january and february be waiting for the 20 week scan to come around.
speaking of which anyone already decided to find out what flavour theyre having?
we didnt last time but think we will this time.
suz xx

Dynababy · 27/11/2010 21:35

We will definitely be finding out what we're having (in fact I'll be asking the stenographer to hazard a guess at our first scan Blush) - I am way too impatient and just want to know, couldn't possibly wait. Just trying to decide whether we're going to tell everyone else this time - didn't last time and it was fun with people trying to guess, though suspect people won't be as interested this time round with it being our NSC Wink

LadyGG I was sitting on my hands to stop myself doing the same!

I was sooo ill yesterday. I think it's more than just pg nausea. I felt like I had the flu - was on sofa all afternoon & evening wishing I could die. Temperature, shivering aching alllll over.

Still feeling rubbish today but a bit better. Nausea still here though so perhaps that bit is pg related and here to stay Sad

nicolamumof3 · 28/11/2010 08:18

morning all!

oh button so sorry its horrible being poorly when pg. I suddenly felt so much better last night so of course i had to poas this morning as just decided i wasn't pg anymore!! This 12week wait is the pitts i hate it.

LadyGoneGaga · 28/11/2010 09:30

I didn't find out with DS last time and it was lovely looking down to find out the sex at the end. Really lovely. So despite being nosy and kind of wanting to know I will have another surprise I think.

Sounds like you do have a bug, Button. You know it is safe to take paracetamol occasionally when pregnant and if you have a fever you really should to bring it down as they advise you to avoid high temperatures for a sustained period. Glad you feel a bit better today. Let DP make a big fuss of you and get some rest.

Nicola I am still a POAS addict. Time has slowed down to a ridiculous degree. My early scan is three weeks tomorrow - might as well be 10 years away!

Right, going to make up for being such a lazy caaaaah yesterday and clean the house, wrap the presents and do some general sorting while MiniG is at his Dad's. Give me a slap if you see me on Mumsnet! Grin

nitnatnaboo · 28/11/2010 17:57

Sues1974 - I have got Take That tickets for June as well. Husband is horrified that I am still planning to go!

Like lots of ladies, also suffering with tiredness/insomnia/nausea but no sickness yet, so currently nowhere near as bad as last time round at 7 weeks!

Strangely obsessed with cold foods - fruit salad, sandwiches, crunchy nut cornflakes and ice cold milk, sushi, tangerines and orange squash.

jigglebum · 28/11/2010 18:21

Oh dear - just had huge go at DH and he is not one to make allowances for hormones or pregnancy tireness. An evening of sulking ahead I feel. Basically I have felt rather crap all day - tired, bit nauseous and few stomach pains and by 6pm DS (2.5) was driving me mad, whilst DH fiddling away upstairs "doing jobs". Trouble is we have just moved house and there are lots of jobs to do, alot of which I can't do but he has done about an hour of looking after DS all weekend and spent the morning sailing - on the understanding I thought that he spent the afternoon looking after DS. However, he feels I am being unfair as he was doing jobs and he has a point but I do look after DS 24/7 (as a slightly reluctant full time SAHM) and he is at a demanding age.

How are others coping with toddlers and pregnancy? I thought I was doing alright but I def need a break from him at times. DS is starting preschool in Jan - just for 2 sessions a week and I must admit - I can't wait! You can have too much of a good thing! Now - just have to decide whether I should apologise to DH for having a massive go or if it was justified!

sues1974 · 28/11/2010 19:05

hey nitnataboo, glad im not the only one mad enough to still be going to see take that, we got the standard tickets too so hope we can get a seat when we get in there.
Jigglebum - ive had my DS all weekend, hubby works away and by this time at night i cannot wait to get him into bed for a break. thankfully i work full time and thats where my main break is, i do miss him and cant wait to see him on an evening, and would like to do a 4 day week after this next baby but would go bonkers at home all the time with him and not having a break.
if your DH has said hed have your DS for the afternoon then he should of stuck to it IMO.
suz xx

isitreallythattime · 28/11/2010 19:53

Im glad there are plenty of you still planning on seeing take that. I am due to go on 05th at wembley with my mum. She keeps saying I shouldnt be considering it as if i went in labour as we were leaving Id be stuffed and the music may effect the baby, anyone else know about this? I know she is only worried about me, but how can i miss them??
