Hi all - we've very nearly exhausted the 1,000 post limit on our previous thread so here is the new one.

Looking forward to continuing to share the ups, downs, symptoms, queries, worries and joy (fingers tightly crossed!)

Broughthimround it sounds like your dh needs to know that that sort of "joke" is not funny and you need him to support you in front of your mil.

Knackered I can't believe people would ask you outright if the baby was planned! How incredibly rude! Whether it was or not the point is you're having it and are happy and excited! My baby was not planned but once I'd got my head round it I was, and am, over the firckin moon. Surely that's all that matters?

Cep totally understandable mate, I think we'd all be the same, I'd be a nervous wreck. As everyone has said though, spotting is normal and quite common so I seriously doubt there's anything wrong. And, you're lucky, you get to see your baby before any of us! Have fun with your italian stallion [hgrin] and make sure DH DOES pamper you.

issy and supersunny an internal scan? That does not sound pleasant.

Thanks yellowtom and I've got my fingers crossed for you clarkiee, I can't imagine how stressful trying to sell a house is atm, nevermind whilst pregnant.

I've had a rather unusual evening. I did a sponsored fire walk in aid of the stroke association. It was absolutely amazing and I would highly reccommend trying it if you ever get the chance. My lovely friend asked if it was safe for me to while pregnant and I had to remind her that the baby is in my uterus, not my feet [hgrin]

Hope everyone sleeps well and doesn't have to wake up to pee 7 guhzillion times

NurseSunshine · 31/10/2010 23:11

Welcome and congratulations motherofsnortpigs

wonnaywombat · 01/11/2010 04:05

Morning all - hope you and your beans are well rested after the weekend.

Very best of luck to those with appointments and do please keep us posted here with how you get on - I think it's safe to say we are a virtual cheerleading scan team!

Welcome motherofsnortpigs and congrats.

Nursesunshine - internal scans really are fine and much more effective in the early weeks. I giggled the first time when she put a condom on it!

I have to confess I really don't like internal scans. I always make sure I go with a full bladder to try to avoid them.
I find them very uncomfortable and intrusive.

The worst part of being in labour was actually when they kept giving me exams to check how dilated I was. But then I have ishoos in that department Blush

Anyway welcome Motherofsnortpigs!!

And Happy Monday everyone!

Sarahmumtobe · 01/11/2010 07:49

Welcome motherofsnortpigs and congratulations! Have kept a low profile over the weekend as working but have logged on a few times to keep up.
Best of luck tomorrow cep. Sorry to hear you have had a scare. Reading on some of the other forums and speaking to my sisters it seems small bleeds are quite common. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
How exciting for those of you getting new cars and houses! Hope you have a speedy sale and find the right house soon.
Have a good day everyone! Only 4 more weeks until that scan :-/

baby1ahhh · 01/11/2010 08:37

Morning ladies. Hope everyone's doing ok and not feeling too sick! I am lucky so far and havent had any ms but my boobs are sooo sore Sad im only 6+1 so theres still time for the ms - hopefully anyway.
Just a quick question, has anyone had a sort of sharp stabbing pain in one side at all? Ive had it now for about 12 hours and it woke me up in the night. I did have an awful lot of yummy food to eat yesterday so it could be just my digestion but its a pain ive certainly never had before. Theres no bleeding at all, just the pain.
Anyone else experienced this?

KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/11/2010 08:46

No BabyAhhh... but I would get it checked out, it may be a sign of a UTI or kidney infection. It maybe nothing but get checked out to be on the safe side.

I have a tummy ache, and tbh been having it on and off for a couple of weeks, quite low down.

I'm hoping it is internal stretching.

IssyStark · 01/11/2010 09:19

Morning all and hello to motherofsnortpigs!

Hope everyone is feeling okay. I've got a swimming head and gurgling tummy but most of it is probably due to being wide awake from 3 until 5am this morning for no apparent reason and then being woken by the garklet at 6am. The joy of pregnancy insomnia mixed with pre-schoolers.

nurse sunshine internal scans are far less uncomfortable than a smear test as the probe is considerable thinner than speculuae are and there's no scraping involved! I've much rather have them than having an external and pressing down hard on my bladder in the hope of seeing something.

moomin156 · 01/11/2010 09:38

Morning all, just tried to catch up with all the weekend posts. Hope everyone is ok today.
Working most of the weekend and DH home at weekends so been quiet on here. ( he also doesnt know i am on here LOL, but hes gone back to work for the week so mn is all mine)
Comment of the weekend as i reached the 8+0 point........" isnt it going quick ", so hands up folks for all those that think its going quick......No cant see anyones but my DH's!!

Been feeling a little queasy over the weekend, worse in the mornings. DH kissed me yesterday morning as i was heading off to work at 6:45......garlic breath = retched. He was really put out, all he kept saying is you were nearly sick when i kissed you......LOL, serves him right for the kippers episode
He also thinks i have a little pot belly which i dont usually have, definitely in the evenings, its huge but then i am full of wind from both ends!!!!
good luck to anyone with scans and mw appointments today. Off today so not sure what im going to do

knackered76 · 01/11/2010 09:41

Morning all,

NurseSunshine - people are delightful aren't they and seem to think being pregnant means they can ask any old personal questions! I've decided that if anyone says it this time I will tell them it was an accident and we're going to have the baby adopted, that should shut them up Grin.

Welcome and congratulations motherofsnortpigs, annoying that the worry doesn't go the more you have isn't it! This is my 3rd and I thought I be over the worrying thing by now but apparently not :)

Internal scans aren't so bad, more of a pain that you have to take your bottom half off (or wear a skirt!)!

Just thought I would share that a friend told me this morning she is pregnant again. They have been trying for 3 years for a second and had 2 miscarriages and a recent termination due to medical problems. We were both pregnant at the same time and had problems within a week of each other :( I'm chuffed to bits for her and keeping fingers crossed this one works out! She's also the only one who knows about me so now I don't have to feel bad talking to her about it :)

Happy monday ladies!

yellowtomato · 01/11/2010 10:44

Morning everyone

Good luck for your scan today nurse

moomin time is definitely not going quickly. i think it might actually have stopped altogether......so desperate to get to the 'safe' zone.

baby1aahh I don't have any pain, but don't have much of anything. It probably isn't anything to worry about but as Kara suggests might be worth getting it checked out anyway just to rule out any infections.

Hope everyone is feel well/as sick as they want to/not sick today!

clench234 · 01/11/2010 11:25

Good luck everyone with scans today. I am working from home today which isn't involving much working, am just sooooooooooo tired and feel sooooooooooo sick all the time. Want to tell work but Not until I'm sure everything is ok. Only 3 days to go to midwife a ppt so hopefully that will make me feel a bit less anxious. Still putting off early scan, will wait till I hear re nhs date. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween, luckily unfortuantekly we didn't have that many trick or treaters so there are still lots of sweeties left for me the dc!

Beesok · 01/11/2010 11:52

Hi guys, I just came back from my scan and it's bad news. The pregnancy hasn't progressed - there is nothing in the sac so they expect to have a miscarriage in the next few weeks.
I am devastated and cried all the way from the hospital.

Thanks again for all you support it was lovely being part of your group even though it was so short :(

good luck to everyone and hope to see lots of babies in june

takethatlady · 01/11/2010 11:55

So sorry beesok Sad

clench234 · 01/11/2010 12:02

Oh goodness beesok, so sorry to hear your news. Hope you have plenty of support. Take care x

KaraStarbuckThrace · 01/11/2010 12:09

Take care of yourself.

moomin156 · 01/11/2010 12:10

neenewps · 01/11/2010 12:18

Oh Beesok :( I am so so very sorry to hear that. I have been thinking about you and will continue to do so.

Look after yourself and a great big hug for you and your other half xx

Wobblewatcher · 01/11/2010 12:22

Oh my god Beesok your news has made my head spin. How utterly devastating for you. I have been there, it is truly awful.

Take care of yourself, will be thinking of you xx xx xx

yellowtomato · 01/11/2010 13:03

I'm so sorry to hear your sad news Beesok
Please be gentle with yourself, I will be thinking of you. Please take care x

8rubberduckies · 01/11/2010 13:26

So, so sorry Cep, thinking of you and your family, take care x

8rubberduckies · 01/11/2010 13:38

God, I'm really, really sorry if I've caused any upset to either of you, but that last message was for Beesok, not Cep. My only excuse is that I'm knackered after 2 very bad night's sleep, and not concentrating fully Blush Blush. Sorry again, and my thoughts go out to you again Beesok.

knackered76 · 01/11/2010 13:49

So sorry Beesok :( I know how you are feeling as I have been there and all I can say is cry when you want and truly take of yourself. It's okay to have meltdowns, I found the smallest thing would set me off even a few weeks after. There are no words to help with the devastation you feel but I'm sending you a virtual shoulder to cry on and a huge hug from someone who understands :(

MoogHasNoBrain · 01/11/2010 15:12

Beesok ? I?m so very sorry ? take care of yourself 

Cep - fingers and toes crossed for you ? how are you feeling?

I seem to be getting nauseous today ? horrible. I am 7+1 and thought as I?d come this far, I had avoided it? but no. On the positive side it is nice to have a symptom other than being tired. With the tiredness I am never sure if I am imagining it or using it as an excuse to spend more time in bed!!

MoogHasNoBrain · 01/11/2010 15:13

I have no idea what that strange number is that appeared in my post Confused
