Good luck with the move cheeky. Hope it goes smoothly and that your baby sits tight until at least Monday!

shieldbug · 15/10/2010 17:31

I hope the quiet is due to lots of people having babies, but suspect it's because we are fed up and tired! Evidently my sweep didn't work because it's now over 48 hours since I had it done. Sad. 40 weeks tomorrow, so despite predictions of an early birth due to the fibroids, it looks like I may go overdue after all.

hermya are you feeling any better?

xavi well done to your dcs- you must be really proud. Hope you enjoyed the assembly.

cheekymonkey hope the move goes well.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 15/10/2010 18:48

Evening all. Just sitting here watching baby drag her heels along my insides. Not nice.

Mum and dad get here tomorrow. It'll be like Christmas opening all the stuff they're bringing - all my lovely new reusable nappies and, most important, the mattress protector.

Think I'll go to bed early after DH's friend who's here for dinner has gone home.

Talking of dinner, I just made delish roast peaches with mascarpone. Yum yum.

Good luck ninth.

Morning everyone ! Just checking in to see if there is any news :)

My mil rocks up today- I'm going to need your support, especially as Ds is finding it all hard to cope with at the moment - 9pm he finally settled and he'd woken 4.30am. Lots of cuddles today needed!

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 04:56

Anyone up??? How much bleeding is ok?? Ketting some vice -like feelings (back and front) 30 minutes aoart - though needed number2, but still coming after.

Noticed I was bleeding when I went (one small clot), can't get through to labour ward....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bet it's nothing and I;'m Blush in the moprning. Sorry for quick garbled post3

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 04:58

thought I needed no 2 Blush

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 05:14

Labour ward ringing out - been trying for nearly an hour. Contractions not regular, so don't think labour is iminent, but worried because of the blood clot - it's probably normal, but I want an expert to trell me that...

SamanthaB123 · 16/10/2010 05:22

Firstly, don't panic! Now, I think that any bleeding should be checked out. Is it red blood or brown? Could it be a show? If the labour ward don't answer you could either just go there or call an ambulance who will take you. It is much better to be safe than sorry in these situations.

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 05:26

Thanks SanB

It's bright red - and deepr dark red clot - sorry tmi - not bigger than 5p, though. Contractions irregular, but it's the blood that worries me. Don't know whether to get someone to look after ds. Not enbough to go on a pad, but everytime I wipe. Like a period starting.

Can't believe labour ward still not answering

SamanthaB123 · 16/10/2010 05:31

I think you should go and get it looked at. Can you try calling the hospital switchboard - they might have a different extension number for maternity? Don't take no for an answer because you need to be seen. Do they have an a & e? You could turn up there.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 16/10/2010 05:33

moonstorm I had bright red blood after a poo when in early labour with ds1. You need to go in. Can you phone main hospital switchboard?

SamanthaB123 · 16/10/2010 05:35

Thanks ILGH, I didn't want to be alarmist so I'm glad you've said the same.

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 05:38

Right - got through. Said it's probably a show - but to monitor it. If it marks my pad or gets heavier to ring back and go in. Contractions irregular, so got to try to get some sleep. Probably caused by contratcions.

floozietoozie · 16/10/2010 05:38

Moonstorm in here but I have no idea if that's normal. That's crap that there's no answer, can you ring NHS Direct otherwise and speak to a doctor for advice? Otherwise is there a main number dur the hospital, maybe they can page someone. I'm hoping all is well, concerned that you can't get an answer. It's crap being stranded like that in the middle if the night. Hugs.

I avoided looking at this most of the day hoping there might be baby news if I didn't... Never mind. I'm guessing Dilly must have had it by now but can't post?
Ninth thinking of you and hope all going well.

Hermya hope you feel better and get some answers. I can see why you are so desperate for the baby to come.

Good luck moving Cheeky.

Seashells is your Mil difficult? Dp and my mum have had a few run-ins while she was staying - it's not easy. Dp now not keen on her staying much but she's the only family we've got to hand. Sad I find her helpful needless to say although I can see his point cos sge can be a bit know-it-all-y when it comes to kids. They do just clash slightly anyway but I have to say my mum does seem to like having an argument with him!

Starving. Waiting for dd to finish feeding so I can go and get sone cereal.

floozietoozie · 16/10/2010 05:41

X-posts wow loads of us up - of course it's morning for ILGH!

moonstorm · 16/10/2010 05:41

I'm 40+2 weeks, so timing is right. Thank you for your help. Going to bed, ds wide awake and playing... oops! Got through by ringin switchboard...

ILoveGregoryHouse · 16/10/2010 05:43

Fingers crossed moonstorm. If still no answer, just get in the car and go to the hospital.

I was just thinking that most of the babies are going to be in the second half of October or even in early November. How odd.

Elsa where are you?

SamanthaB123 · 16/10/2010 05:53

I'm really glad you got to speak to someone moonstorm. I hope you get some rest and that the bleeding stops.

ILGH we haven't been very quick at producing babies have we? I felt much more like my baby was about to be born two weeks ago than I do today.

floozietoozie · 16/10/2010 06:00

SamBapart from me who was too bloody quick. I'd be so gratsful to still have a baby in there at 40 weeks. I'm never going to know what that is like Sad. Sorry, moment of self-pity there.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 16/10/2010 07:07

Aw floozie, the shock is worse than the anticipation. Have a (((()))

I too feel less ready than last week. Getting terrible back pain as she is back to back. Want a few more days on my new exercise ball to get her round. After spd am dreading a back labour. Shudder.

nymphadora · 16/10/2010 07:32

moonstorm good luck hope it's all happening & you get your tiny baby cuddles soon!

Managing to feed & MN now engorgement has settled and I don't suffocate her every time!

Top tip
Currently changing dd3 on bathroom worktop & next to a mirror. She loves the other baby & it distracts her!

Also don't leave the room without a handful of breast pads

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 16/10/2010 07:45

Moonstorm-I'm glad you finally got to speak to someone. It sounds like it could be happening soon for you :)

Mil- is luckily staying in a band b as we are in a tiny 2bed flat. She is very lovely but winds up Ds - he has to be hyper the whole time, so doesn't eat etc. When we stayed with her last time after 2days of him hardly eying anything other than ice cream I fed him away from the table. She was very menopausal the last 2 years though so hopefully she we be less up and down and i canmanage my own emotions better!

Im at the milk leaking on everything stage - fed up of huge boobs and soddenclothes!!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 16/10/2010 07:49

Floozie ((((hugs)))) you are allowed to feel like that- and to vent/voice it here :) I'm sure you are getting on brilliantly :)

Nymph- I'm amazed active convos aren't busier in the night, all I do is feed and mn, poss see if the mornings guardian is online etc!!

nymphadora · 16/10/2010 08:46

We justsit in the dark! I've not had the brainpowerto multi task & have felt quite happy staring into space Blush

floozietoozie · 16/10/2010 09:19

Nymph I gave to do sonething to stop me falling asleep! Dd takes a long time. Night before last I watched a DVD film on my laptop in installments as i've caught up with Spooks and single Father now Grin. Need to get some box sets in I think.
