Lizkin I hope everything is going well for you today :)

Floozie Hope all went well with the HV. Good luck with the nits!

Samantha I'm taking RT capsules and can't believe how much I've been going. They apparently improve muscle tone, so I just assumed they were making everything more efficient :o I've been like it for a week now, so sadly I dont think it's a sign for me.

shieldbug good luck with the consultant. I really hope they can do something about your rash.

I saw the MW this morning who said baby is in a great position, 3/5 engaged now, so he's dropped 1/5 since Monday! She told me to nipple tweak like crazy and to have sex twice a day! Shock I have no idea where she thinks I'll get the energy for that from. Dh's lucky day though!

Went to a breastfeeding class yesterday, dh is now wildly excited about how cute the baby will be, and tells me I mustn't worry, he was paying attention and knows exactly how it works :o bless him!

Please stop talking about the 8-legged-unnameable-monsters! I have nightmares about them almost every night! Blush

SilverSky · 06/10/2010 15:41

Little update from me : we are 2/5 engaged and looking good. Only downside is have trace of protein (a first for me) tho they are not concerned and I need to drink more water which spookily enough I thought about two days ago. Being at home and having access to decaff coffee/fizzy drinks has been my liquid of choice so need to change that asap.

Am bit worried about pre eclampsia but think I am seeing things which aren't there. HI says my hands look the same and tbh when I get hot my fingers do swell so not that unusual. Being pregnant makes you paranoid doesn't it. No matter what stage you are at.

Baby def has it's butt in the air. I thought it was a foot but alas not from what I have read it's more likely to be it's bum.

Sorry for not namechecking - it's cos once I have read everything and I start to post my miniscule memory seems to fall out of my head and then disappears never to be seen again.

moonstorm · 06/10/2010 16:35

Silversky what does HI mean? Woohoo at 2/5 engaged!

Will stop talking about them, Fingon!

Have tidied house from top to bottom!!!! Take that nesting instinct!! Now maybe the baby'll come... Feel I should maybe have got out of the house, though but the house just feels so good, I don't care!!

Floozie How did HV go? Hope I didn't worry you earlier Sad just wanted to remind you that if there had just been a poo and there was a ? about weight, then this could be the cause.

Putting feet up now before ds and dh get home!!!

nymphadora · 06/10/2010 18:26

Not name checking cos im on my phone & can't remember what I've just read. Just back from dd2s football gala which was fun. First time any of their team had played a match and other teams were more experienced so they didn't do well but improved loads and had fun.

Starting to worry about tomorrow now so was good to be distracted.

AbFabT · 06/10/2010 18:32

Shock at all the flea talk (that's my grossed out face as opposed to shock, so much). I never will understand how cats and dogs are worth such hassle.
I am not enjoying the spider talk either! I went to shut our bathroom window the other night, put my hand towards the handle and with about a second to spare, noticed this MASSIVE spider just sat there, all nonchalant. I could easily have just put my hand right on him, he wasn't budging. I managed to open the window a bit further out by pushing on the pane and he FLEW off (luckily out not in!).

cheekymonkey, are you all settled in nicely now? Hope so. I do love our home, but it's a squash - I'd love a new start in a new home now!

floozie, good luck with the hv.

Hoping for news from Lizkin soon. And the rest of you - where are all these babies! Good luck to nymph for the next 24 hours (well, less than that now!). HOW exciting! Hermya, you were just getting our hopes up, weren't you!

Vikks and SeaShells, yes, I am also getting inundated with texts, emails and Facebook messages - many on my Wall, so people can SEE I've just replied to someone else saying 'no news'! Bless them, it's just because they are excited and care. DH thinks it is funny to join in now, so every morning he asks me 'any baby yet'? :) And then he comes home from work asking 'have we had a baby yet?'. Ha.

FtV, your DH sounds cute! I am glad he is so confident! :) Bless indeed!

Silver, glad to hear you are 2/5 now.
moon, I am guessing Him Indoors? I love that feeling of being all homely when the house is all clean. Nesting is all well and good, but as each day passes, mine just gets messy again! Ah well.

Pizza for supper tonight (mmm), washed down with Raspberry Leaf Tea (not so mmm).

40+2

shieldbug · 06/10/2010 18:35

Silver 2/5 engaged is great. Don't worry about the trace of protein. I had that at one check and then things were back to normal again the next. As you suggest, drink more water and that should help.

moon let's hope the nesting instinct means things are about to happen.

fingon Shock at the mws advice! As you say, it's your dh's lucky day!!

hermya seems like things are moving in the right direction..surely it won't be long now.

well, I had the consultant's appointment, and when she said that she could prescribe me something to help with the rash (which is PUPPP) I could have cried or kissed her. Fortunately for her, I did neither. Astonishingly the baby is 2/5 engaged (but still managing to kick me in the ribs) and not too big (hooray). We were also able to discuss precautions to be taken when I go into labour and she has reassured me a bit. I will have blood on standby and have an IV line in ready (fibroids can lead to heavy bleeding after birth so it's good to know they will be prepared). On another note, if the rash is still driving me crazy next week she will book me for a sweep, which I'm not sure if I am pleased about or not!

Hermya321 · 06/10/2010 19:02

Shield I think that they are, most of my BH have been painless up until now. So I'm hoping that the baby is thinking about making his exit.

Abfab Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't Wink. In all honesty I don't know if LO is making his move. He's been a bit quieter the last few days as well. I did speak to the midwife, but she said as long as I'd had ten movements in a day then it's fine. My DH hates spiders and won't go near them, so I have to take care of them so to speak. There was two hiding behind the sink the other week, I didn't really have the energy to move them out so I left them there. I haven't seen them since, so I figure that they've either discovered their undying love for each other or they've moved out.

Flingon LOL at your MW, I bet your DH was pleased. Was she young? Do you think she's one that hadn't actually experienced the joys of pregnancy yet?

Shield I'm glad your consultant was able to help you out. Lets hope and pray things get moving for you before the end of this week.

Nymph I bet you're so excited!!! I can't wait to hear if it's a girl or a boy. I'm going to say a little girl and 7lbs 6oz.

I met up with a girl from my antenatel class today, she was so lovely and it was so nice just to have a good old natter with her.

I've also rediscovered my culinary skills again as well, I made meatballs and spagetti for tea. DH has never had it so good!! Grin

SilverSky · 06/10/2010 19:14

Ladies you are correct HI is Him Indoors. I kept referring to him as Husband but that sounded naff!

On my to do list I ticked off all but two items. Tho in fairness they are the jobs that need doing the most! Arrghh! The windows in the back bedroom also need a good scrub.

Is anyone else's DP/DH a messy wotsit and no matter how much you tidy, within one fell swoop, there are shoes littered everywhere, empty glasses left in the lounge, dirty crockery left in the sink when the DW is empty.....

Have mixed emotions about the 2/5ths thingymabob. Excited cos it means baby is on its way but the other half makes me think "I AM NOT READY YET". But whenever is anybody really ready? Probably never!

I want to do some baking this week, well I am gonna give it a go as I am no natural in the kitchen.

nymphadora · 06/10/2010 19:57

hermya we have just been doing guess the weight. Dh says 7lb 8 , I say 7lb 4 dd2 says 7lb 10 ( but didn't know what pounds were!).

shieldbug · 06/10/2010 20:20

nymph good luck for tomorrow!! My guess is 7lb 3. Hope all goes well, and getting excited about hearing good news soon. Will be thinking of you.

SilverSky · 06/10/2010 20:24

All the best nymph!!!!!!

I'll guess at 8lb 2oz

BackAgain · 06/10/2010 20:35

Good luck for tomorrow Nymph hope it all goes well. My guess is 7lb 5

Hope everyone has a restful night

ILoveGregoryHouse · 06/10/2010 20:51

Good lucknymph.

What are you planning to bake silver?

OP posts:
SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 06/10/2010 21:31

Nymph/Lizkins good luck! I hope all goes well for you both :)

I think things are starting for me too today, so heading to bed to see if I can sleep a bit :)

I hope everyone gets some sleep! X

Vikks · 06/10/2010 22:08

Good luck Nymph & Lizkin x x

SeaShells OMG fingers crossed! Grin

FingonTheValiant · 06/10/2010 22:21

Good luck tomorrow Nymph

Hope everything is going well for Lizkin

SeaShells Fab news!!! Fingers crossed!

Hermya Incredibly she claims to already have two children. She did add that she know it probably wasn't the most appealing proposition - I think my face must have been a picture!

Everything has slowed down here - not even BHs for the last two days :( I really thought I was getting close. Looks like I might have to follow the midwife's advice!

Have a good night's sleep everyone :)

AbFabT · 06/10/2010 22:21

I'm going to bake too, SilverSky! Cupcakes! I've just ordered my special sugarpaste icing, I want to make welcome baby babycakes! :) My plan is to start when the contractions start - I've heard it's a good distraction!

Special wishes to nymph for tomorrow

AbFabT · 06/10/2010 22:23

Sorry, didn't see SeaShells's update! Good luck to you too!!! Eee!

tiredfeet · 06/10/2010 22:31

Just logging in to wish nymph all the best for tomorrow, will be thinking of you.
Like others, I'm currently being bombarded with messages and calls as my due date is near, feels strange because in my head I expect baby to be late so due date doesn't feel like that big a deal. Baby now 4/5 engaged so making very slow progress at least. But all my leaning forward hasn't achieved getting baby into the right position yet, I think it moves when I do the leaning then shifts back at night. Midwife told me to persevere though, so going to keep trying!

Feel all itchy after reading about the fleas/ lice! Big sympathy to those dealing with it xx

Hermya321 · 06/10/2010 22:39

Seashells Oooooo best of luck!!

Abfab What a brilliant idea, I think I might do the same. What sort of cupcakes are you going to make?

My cheeky LO has been a bit quiet the past two days and being a bit concerned I rang the midwife and went in for monitoring. Typically he danced away like a club rep on his day off.

moonstorm · 06/10/2010 23:06

Good luck Seashells and Nymph!!!!

nymphadora · 07/10/2010 04:34

seashells Good luck!

Well obviously I can't sleep. Partly getting stressed but dh has been stroking my back for about an hour which relaxed me sooo much but I still didn't get to sleep so I'm MNing & watching crap tv. Making the most of being able to drink too!

SamanthaB123 · 07/10/2010 04:57

Nymph just wanted to wish you good luck for this morning. Just a few hours to go!

Seashells Hope this is the start of your labour. Good luck too.

Feeling really achy around the lower tummy and back this morning. Like I'm about to have a period. Can't sleep obviously!

nymphadora · 07/10/2010 05:37

SamB sounding promising for you too?

I'm heading back to bed for an hour then up & get ready. Have to rememeber to take my dressing gown and I'm sure there is other stuff I've forgotten!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 07/10/2010 06:22

Morning nymph! Don't forget money for car parking :)

I'm on the go, gas and air is gooooooood,
