Morning Smile Agree, great IKEA GRUFF Grin. I am certainly inspired to go there again, though wish there was more they did on-line; most of the stuff I'd order isn't avauilable online and trust me, Ikea on a sat afternoon for 4 Los is a Bad Idea !
Hope everyone is ok - trawling through my in-tray here anmd losing the will... roll on home time!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 28/09/2010 11:40

hi gruff and diege

gruff - ikea bits great Grin

hi diege i am going to ikea on a tuesday to avoid most busyness

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/09/2010 19:45

Evening- lost you all off my threads :( sorry i'm so poo at keeping on atm. just so hectotic here!!

Still not found a maternity outfit, dispite DH taking me to every single shop around here that sells maternity wear... and i'm scared to buy online in case it doesn't fit right then i'd have to do a last min dash to find something in the shops that i'm not so comfortable with.... ses i may take you up on your offer if i dont find anything in the next week if it's still ok to borrow a dress. :) I'm normally a 14/16, i'm actually a 14, but some tighter fitted dresses have to get a 16 to fit my boobs into... if thats the right size then i may come to you for help :)

Going to check out ebay just in case... i do love an issabella oliver dress online, but it's £160.... and i dont think i can justify it when it's expences, and being paid for by my friend... plus i'd need shoes to go with it...

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2010 20:00

Hi Cant! Don't worry I think it is hectoctic for everyone at the mo judging by the amount of posting going on!:)

I have had such a bad day for nausea today - didn't make it to work and have had trouble eating and drinking. Not good :( I really feel that I am neglecting GC too as I am slumped on the sofa feeling crap most of the time.

Its quite stressful aswell as we have someone coming to look at our flat to buy it and the house still needs lots of tidying but I just havent got the energy! I am going to see what I can do tonight and tomorrow. No work tomorrow and DH will be in at 16.30, the viewing is at 18.15. The man sounded keen on the phone. Lets keep our fingers crossed as we have a property that looks really promising so of course I have set my heart on it already LOL!

Diege - before we had GC we used to go to Ikea at night as it closes at midnight Grin we were there til then before aswell Blush oh and you get a free cuppa if you're an ikea family member if you go in the week!haha. we can never pass up on a freebie!

Hi Gyo - yes my booking in apt is tomorrow - tis a bit late but my mw was away last week...there is a different one coming but she covered my mw's holiday when GC was born so hopefully she will recognise me :) Oh and I really think we are due a "bridge" meet up soon as we havent seen you guys in so long!!!!That is an order by the way Wink

Ses - hope you can find a way around DH's knee (ahem) to get your GOF when needed :) heehee

Tink - you have made me want to go to Ikea now woman! Although I need to hold off until I know where we are moving to. Ohhh we will need stuff :)

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2010 20:02

Cant - I meant to say - hope you sort your dress dilemma out soon!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/09/2010 20:06

dilemma may be solved.... views on this please.... never shopped at topshop for maternity before... unsure wether to buy a 14 or 16.

Diege · 28/09/2010 21:14

Cant the dress is lovely Smile. I bought a lot of maternity wear from Topshop, and when pregnant/not pregnant I always go up a size. They deliver fast and refunds/exchanges are processed super quick - go for it woman!
Gruff we used to go to Ikea late night too Grin. We'd get a baby sitter when dd1 was born and go out for the night to IKEA and have a pizza after in the pizza hut next door..ah the heady days of one dc...Now it takes all my energy to flick throguh the Ikea catalogue nevermind think about going there...

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/09/2010 21:26

well diege.... i have also just found this dress.... thinking i could get a lovely belt and a shoulder shawl/cardi to match it.... am really stuck now!! I love the seraphine one in the pic with the belt on, but i'd have to substitute the belt for as close as i can find...

the issabella Oliver is my dream dress, but just can't spend that amount of pennies.... and the topshop is pretty similar on the arms... if you imagine well enough...

cantmummyhaveabreak · 28/09/2010 21:27

sadly i love loads of the sale dresses at IO but none are in my size :(

Right i'm off to bed, gonna sleep on it, and decide in the morning!! :)

GruffaloSoldier · 28/09/2010 22:18

CANT - love the topshop one. Re sizes you could order both sizes and then just return the one that doesnt fit. I think quite a lot of people do that.

Diege - LOL at late night Ikea visits! But I am with you - great night out :) I went when I was about 37 weeks pg and we had a maccy d's after at the drive through (we never have maccy ds so a big treat) ahhh those were the days!

Well I tidied the lounge, that was it. Loads more to do tomorrow. eeeek! Hopefully I will be feeling on good form tomorrow for cleaning bonanza!

Good night all!

GiraffeYoga · 29/09/2010 07:21

Morning

Another IKEA fan here, although not done a late night trip since I was about 20 and a student...

Gruff- funnily enough I went to get a 'proper' coffee from the coffee shop at work yesterday and was thinking of the bridge and their lovely cappuccinos with the writing on the top in chocolate and was thinking the same thing. In fact I wondered whether you would be up to drinking one with the nausea- I went right off coffee when preg with the small giraffe. :)
I need to sort out some leave from work so will do that and give you a shout to arrange a date :)

Cant- all dresses are lovely... hope you can find something good. Do Next do any maternity dresses? I found their delivery really good but I understand why you dont want to get stuff online.

Diege- how far into the 2WW are you?

Loads of stuff on a the moment, I seem to be on a never ending treadmill of work.

essenceofSES · 29/09/2010 07:56

Morning!

Hello Giraffe - IKWYM about the never ending treadmill. Feels a bit like that here.

Cant - those dresses are all much nicer than mine! I especially like the Topshop one. My offer is still there though. If you want to know more just PM me or FB me!

Gruff - sorry you're feeling so tired and rough. Hopefully the glowing 2nd trimester will be here before you know it! Good luck with MW.

Diege - any testing or symptoms?!

Good news and bad news here - no GOF. DH is sleeping in v strange positions and flexing his knee in his sleep regularly through the night so to prevent being kicked to death, I've banished him to spare room for a few nights! This morning he said it's starting to get easier but he's got a couple of nights away coming up so that's this month gone again :(

Good news though is at least I think I may have ovulated this month. CD16 today and had peaks on CBFM on CD14&15, +ve OPK on CD14 and temp shift this morning!

Right I'd best get on. Wednesday so no work and fun with DS today :)

cantmummyhaveabreak · 29/09/2010 09:22

Thanks all.... think i'm gonna order the topshop dress- getting very excited!! Will just need shoes now, got tights already so thats one task down...

Gruff- hope the MW app all goes well... my full booking in app is on monday, but i've already seen her, but she didn't ask all the in depth Q's etc, think thats why the next app is an hour. All the info and booking my scan and bloods- god i hate bloods!!

Gyo- Next do have some maternity dresses, but only online- nothing instore, and the dresses all look a bit summery still or not smart enough, and i want something i can wear again for DH's xmas party.

Was awake from 4am today, woke up feeling really sick :( was sick a few times till i finally got up and ate something, been feeling a bit perkier since.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 29/09/2010 09:55

ant - agree topshop dress lovely i would go for the 16 Grin

sorry for sickness

gruff ikea Wink i havent been 2 an ikea for ages!!

Diege · 29/09/2010 10:07

Morning Smile. I would also go for the Topshop one CANT - I actually prefer it to the Isabella Oliver one, and price-wise no comparison! Any ideas about when you have in mind for Liverpool?
GYO work sounds hectic - 'neverending treadmill' sounds about right Sad That's why I get mine in bed for 7pm otherwise I'd go crazy without a bit of down time! (disclaimer - mine do wake at 6am (whether they go at 7 or 10) so are genuinely tired by 7 in case you put me down as some Joan Crawford figure Wink)
SES what a bummer about (lack of) gof - I think I would be quietly tearing my hair out by now. At least your cycle seems to be getting back to normal now though which I suppose is a small consolation - fingers crossed normal service will resume next month!
GRUFF ah Maccy d's...at one point in my pregnancy with dd1 all I could eat was the filet o' fish with tom sauce. I take the dds there in the hols before we see a film and have to say I thoroughly enjoy the food Blush
Hi TINKS! Had another (mini) splurge last night using the 25% off Boden link!
Well 10 days past ovulation, so going by my recent cycles af should be due Friday. Feeling absolutely no symptoms Sad so pretty much resigned to af. Nearly tested this morning but them thought better!

essenceofSES · 29/09/2010 10:50

Hello tink and Diege :)

Diege - I am trying to focus on the positives! Also if we get my working hours increased whilst me still keeping Wednesdays off I think that will make DH feel more at ease about the whole "another person to provide for" thing.
I do understand where he's coming from. He grew up in a small mid-terrace with 3 bedrooms and 5 siblings. At one point when DH was about 13, his Dad was in hospital with a tumour and his mum had broken her foot and they were struggling to put food on the table to the extent that his mum would have one meal a day so she could feed everyone else properly. DH doesn't want that for his family. On the other hand though, we both have (fairly!) secure jobs with sickness cover insurance on the mortgage!

Sorry - I've rambled again!!! Oh well, I've you've got a talent, use it I say....

Not much shopping happening here as trying to prove to DH that we can afford another DC but I did buy DS these for only £8 and they look really cute! His feet seem to have suddenly grown as I had to get size 6!!
As a result, his friend (girl) has got the pink ones!

Right, I really must stop rambling as we need to go to Jo Jingles!

GiraffeYoga · 29/09/2010 12:07

Lovely to have some posts on here today :)

Ses- I agree you must be frustrated but I guess I can see his logic. I suppose its long term financials that count not just the 1st year (I keep forgetting about that bit myself especially how we'd afford 2 lots of childcare) Good news on the ovulation!

Enjoy Jo Jingles!

Lunchtime here! Hooooray!

OP posts:
Diege · 29/09/2010 12:17

SES good for you seeing the positives - things sound like they are heading in the right direction, plus with your extra day finances shouldn't be weighing too heavily on dh's mind.
GYO lunch here too - or on its way. Dh and I are going to pizza express - the joys of working from home!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 29/09/2010 17:10

i think i have a bug this end!!
have been getting lots of headaches and dodgy tummy and very tired

diege - yeh for shopping Grin
ikea here a week tues Grin

Diege · 29/09/2010 17:32

Oh no TINKS Sad Hoping you feel a bit brighter soon (and that the dds don't get it!)
Well of course I crumbled and tested - a clear BFN Sad Confirmed what I felt to be the case anyway and I feel strangely better (in a 'one step ahead of my rubbish poor old body' way)for POS!

GiraffeYoga · 30/09/2010 08:35

Oh no, sorry for BFN Diege. :(

Any chance of a false negative?

Hope you enjoyed Pizza Express.

Hi everyone else.

OP posts:
tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 30/09/2010 09:17

cheers diege Grin
probably anxiety related 2

sorry for bfn

GiraffeYoga · 30/09/2010 09:42

Hi Tink- sorry meant to say, hope you're feeling better soon

OP posts:
Diege · 30/09/2010 13:55

Hello! Def a true negative GYO(tested again this morning) and having usual pre-af cramps now too. Looks like I'm still on for a luteal phases of 11 days though, which is an improvement on the 9 days previously (due to taking agnus castus I think). Going to order in the dreaded pre-seed next month..anyone else used it?
Hope you're feeling better TINKS. Is there anything you're particualry anxious about?

GiraffeYoga · 30/09/2010 14:19

Thats a shame Diege. Good for you for sounding upbeat though. I hope you feel it. :)

Interested re preseed too- heard a lot about it first time around but never needed it.

Tink- shall I pass round some cheering brownies and mugs of tea?
