tinksbabyis2 · 04/03/2011 09:30

sorry ginger!!

Rugbylovingmum · 04/03/2011 10:13

Morning all,

Ses - any news this morning. I'm still hoping that you have just tested too early and AF hasn't made an appearance overnight.

Giraffe - I'll join you in a Brew and try to resist having a cake with it. I am craving a raspberry and white choc muffin from the coffee shop but so far I'm being very good.

Gruff - I'd be nervous about another c-section too although my emcs was fine. I'm not sure what I'd do if they offered me an ELCS next time actually. GC will love having a couple of days with his grandma and auntie while you are in hospital and you'll be too busy to miss him too much Wink. I really hope the house is all settled very soon!

Bumps - how is DD this morning and how did your chat with DP go (or have I missed that)?

Sorky - I did my Davina DVD last night and it was hard work but I managed it all (just the basic superfit workout without the extra abs etc). I was quite proud of myself, maybe I'm not quite as out of shape as I thought. Do you think I'll manage the Shred dvd? I have been reading about how hard it is and I'm worried I won't be able to do enough of it to feel I've had a real workout.

Cant - how is poor DD2 this morning?

Diege - hope you're not fretting this morning, I have my fingers fingers crossed for a sticky bean for you.

Hi Tink, Star, anyone I've missed.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 04/03/2011 13:14

Hi Rugby- well done in holding off on the muffin :)

Tink- I quite like Gonger!

Wanted your opinions

St the SGs nursery- there is another mother who's DD is in same group as SG as they are the same age. She is really intense and when I get there she is paying attention to all of the kids in the room, being very cosy with some in particular. e.g hugging, cuddling other kids who arent her own. I know my SG gets involved if I am later to arrive that this mother. Its making me uncomfortable - it seems weird... Am I being a bit weird?

GingerbreadGiraffe · 04/03/2011 13:15

She is being kind- not sure why it bothers me!

Diege · 04/03/2011 13:26

LOL at GONGER, I like it too Grin
GRUFF hope you slept ok after all last night; I've toally forgotten about the insomnia of late pregnancy, though am sleeping very badly at the moment which does bring a little of it back. Ds will be totally fine too as others have said Smile Make the most of the break Wink
RUGBY good for you on the exercise front and for resisting the goodies! NO such willpower here (sainsbury's white choc cookies (the ones in the bags) are 2 for 1 at the moment Blush On the birth front, if this preganncy progresses I think I'll request a VBAC, mainly becuase I've had 3 'normal' births before and think ds was a one off with his size and position...did have something called a bandels ring on cervix though which means apparently that there would be a timing put on the vbas before another EMCS.
GING, re: your concerns, at first I thought, hmm, that woman actually sound snice (the nursery one) but then thinking about it I think I would also feel a bit uncomfortable (not with the atention, but the cuddling etc).
Feeling ok today, boobs sore on and off (seem to get more sore as day progresses; lots of saliva and slight feeling of dizzyness/feeling not quite right this morning. Am only 4 + 2 though so would be a little worried if I am full-blown vomiuing now (I think earliest was 4+4 with dd3, others sickness kicked in about 5 weeks.
HI TINKS, intersting about you 'late' bfp.
Hi SES, SORKY, CANT, STAR, BUMPS (was it worms??!) xxx

GingerbreadGiraffe · 04/03/2011 14:43

Hi Diege

Glad you are getting some sypmtoms. It is still early days for it if you are only 4 plus weeks. I hope the vomiting doesnt strike too soon.

VBAC sound good too- I have total memory blank of you having a C sect with DS- really weird!

Thanks re comments- its the cuddling that makes me uncomfortable for sure. I kind of want to stamp my foot and say NOOOOOO she is my DD- she has enough other ladies to bond with at nursery.

We've been invited to this child's bday but we cannot go - am quite relieved now!

Diege · 04/03/2011 16:31

Hi GING! Yes, it's the cuddling isn't it? How do the other parents react?
C-section was a blank for me too Grin A case of him beng too big and also diagonal combined to make 10 hrs labour but head wouldn;t descend = section under general as epidural didn't work. Not my finest hr!
House of hell here with dd3's friend over from school - v.hard work, lots of shrieking!

essenceofSES · 04/03/2011 19:44

Well that's me definitely out this cycle! AF arrived with avengeance when I got home from work :(
Trying v hard to look for the silver lining - maybe that I can focus on getting fit and losing a bit of weight over the next few weeks?!

Diege - hope you've recovered from the house of hell?!

Ginger - that would make me feel v uncomfortable too but not sure what you can do. How do the nursery staff react?

Bumps - what happened with DD in the end?

Rugby - well done on doing your Davina dvd. I have the Nadia Sawahla one for evenings when DH is out!

Gruff - hope you got some yummy bedtime snacks and a good night sleep?

Sorky - I still agree with your analysis of my chart. I'll check in with next month's in about 25 days time!

tinks - hello!!!

Anyone got anything good planned for the weekend?

bumpsnowjustplump · 04/03/2011 20:22

hello all, i did go on a worm hunt last night and there was nothing. Going to check again tonight.

I am as far as I can tell 5 weeks today and still no symptoms. I hope the really bad bug I have is covering them and that it isn't anything to worry about.

Can I exercise at this stage? I have the davina dvd as well and was going to give it a go but dont want to risk any problems

ginger I would hate anyone touching my children if I didn't know them and I am very shocked that the nursery staff havent stepped in by now.

ses sorry for AF but at least but a december baby would be good wouldnt it

tinksbabyis2 · 04/03/2011 21:53

Ginger lady does sound over the top! I am
Not an affectionate person this sounds extreme
Don't blame u 4 feeling weird!

Hi diege Grin

Hi ses that's a shame!

No plans here 4 wknd

Dh out tonite
Enjoyed dominoes

essenceofSES · 06/03/2011 21:07

It's been quiet on here over the weekend again today!

We had my parents over for a meal today. My mum (as usual!) came out with a classic! DH was joking about my younger brother (now he's been married 6mo) and when he and his DW are going to announce a pregnancy. Mum changed the subject to how my brother wants to move house first but actually said "They've got a lot else on their plate and he needs to get co-ordinated with his moving in and out" My Dad and DH collapsed in fits of laughter and then DS copied them Grin

Hope everyone's ok and had a good weekend.

Kayzr · 06/03/2011 21:38

Hello. Hope you are all well.

Just popping to let you know I got engaged Saturday!! Very very excited!!!!!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 07/03/2011 08:10

Congratulations Kayz! that's great news. :)

When is the big day!?

Ses- that story really made me smile :)

Kayzr · 07/03/2011 08:57

We are hoping for September next year Probably going for the 15th. I am so so excited!!!

Diege · 07/03/2011 09:33

Oh wonderful new KAYZ, I'm so pleased for you Smile Btw we are up in Whitby twice this year, May hols and August - maybe we could meet at the pool again if you'd like?
SES, I also smiled at your story, esp the bit about ds joining in Grin
Morning GING!
Working from home today as have dentists this morning (still faffing about with the brace). THis week is make or break for me pregnancy -wise I fear. No real nausea as yet, and on past form it should be starting around now...still only 4 +, so text book-wise not a problem, but I know my own body and how it reacts to a healthy pregnancy. Absolutely nothing I can do, but I am starting to mentally prepare in case things don't work out (well, as much as you can!).
Love to all, D x

Kayzr · 07/03/2011 09:37

Diege, that would be lovely thanks. We are in north wales in may. 16-23 I think so might not be able to do may but certainly up for august.

I have everything crossed for you Diege.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 07/03/2011 10:31

Also keeping everything crossed for you this week Diege. xx

essenceofSES · 07/03/2011 13:28

Just a quick one (whilst on conference call ) to say congrats to Kayz and fingers crossed for Diege :)

Hello everyone else!

Evening all!

Kayz - Congrats again! September is a lovely month to get married I think. We had to go for Aug in the end (I forget why) but Sept would have been my first choice!

Diege - I am keeping everything crossed for you too. Sending sticky bean vibes to you xx

Ses - that made me chuckle too. I love it when GC laughs along with everyone. Especially when he then says "Funny!" Grin

I was thinking we should really try and do a national meet up at some point but I'm not sure if we'd manage it! But it would be so lovely to get everyone together, maybe somewhere central.

We had builders in today and I no longer have a hole in my wall Grin grin] It is being painted tomorrow. We are now waiting on the floor. Things are moving slowly but surely!

GruffaloSoldier · 07/03/2011 21:25

Meant to say Hello to Ginger, Tink, Rugby, Star, Bumps, Sorky, Moosy, anyone else I missed!

essenceofSES · 07/03/2011 21:59

OOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Just had second session with personal trainer and I'm not sure I'll be able to move tomorrow! We did step ups on park bench, tricep dips on park bench, press ups on park bench and stretches on park bench. I am never going to ask anyone to donate a park bench in my name when I'm gone as they are just used for torture!

Gruff - you have a lot on your plate at the moment! Hope all goes smoothly

Diege - how was the dentist?
Hope you start to get some v mild but v reassuring symptoms!

Bumps - How's all going with you?

Kayz - bet you can't stop smiling at the moment!

Helloo Ginger, tinks and anyone else around!

tinksbabyis2 · 08/03/2011 08:37

morning Grin

diege thinking of u Grin

congrats kay Grin

hi to everyone els

mum over yest and today Wink dyed my hair blond yest

Diege · 08/03/2011 11:35

Hello! Wow SES that's very inspiring about your personal trainer; I bet you're feeling it today Grin
TINKS, hair sounds good - nice to lighten up hair wise for spring.
GRUFF, yes a national meet would be good - maybe somewhere central as you suggest. Any ideas anyone? I suppose it would have to be middle-ish, but then soemwhere at least one of us is vaguely familiar with too!
KAYZ, we're in Whitby sat 28th May for a week, then last week August.
Things ok here - just sneaked into work late but didn't get caught Grin/ Felt a little nauseaous last night, and did gag when brushing teeth this morning, but I think actually the teeth thing may have been me willing it on as opposed to being spontaneous...boobs more sore, but have gone back 'on' to coffee after not liking it last week Confused

NatalieJane · 08/03/2011 13:53

Hello :o

Wow! Huge congratulations to Diege and Bumps - wonderful news :o :o :o :o :o

Hope everyone else is well? Am keeping sort of caught up with you guys on FB, but didn't have a clue about the HONKS!

Things have been manic here, I am just about closing my first project! Client has gone on holiday for two weeks, hoping to have it more or less done by the time she's back, though waiting on things that are out of my hands.

And it has been one thing after another with DS2, he has been diagnosed with a speech disorder, and it is looking likely that it isn't Autism, though no one is telling us what else it could be, nursery are completely denying he has any additional needs despite him now either seeing or having been referred to: Paediatrician, Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Physio, Occupational Therapist, Psychiatrist (CAMHS) and for hearing/eye tests, obviously everyone else is wrong and he is absolutely 100% fine with no concerns at all Hmm (Can you tell I am not very happy with nursery?!). Oh we are having fun!

Nothing else to report, just wanted to show I'm still alive, and am very glad I did, Diege and Bump's news will have me smiling all day, I had forgotten what a HONK is like! x
