Morning ladies

Sounds like a lovely call Ses! :) Good news on not crying DS. Have you managed to maintain breastfeeding at night?

Diege- hello!
Star- enjoy your hols!
Tink- sorry for moodiness.

Im going on a training course next week so Im away sunday night to friday lunchtime. Its going to be a huge strain on DH and I've no idea how I will cope being away from the SG for so long :(

At least its friday!

not sure why moody think tired

Rugbylovingmum · 08/10/2010 10:10

Morning all,

Tink - I hope you feel refreshed after the weekend.

Gyo - I hope your training course in interesting and the time goes quickly. I'm sure it'll be great for SG and DH to have a week together. I have to go to a conference in December and although I'm dreading being away from DD and DP for 4 days I'm trying to convince myself it'll be good for them both Hmm.

Ses - what a lovely call Smile

A few family members have sent me some money for DDs birthday next week and I was thinking about getting this. What do you think? I know we're getting into winter and dark nights but she still enjoys crawling around the garden in her waterproofs so it should still get plenty of use. Mum is getting her this and DB is getting the doll. We've bought her first shoes, a couple of books and some wooden blocks. What a spoilt little girl Wink.

Diege · 08/10/2010 20:25

Evening! GYO I am half envious of your week away, and half 'I can see why you feel nervous' Grin. As RUGBY says, it will be a great opportunity for your dh to have some special time with SG - and think of the sleep, long baths, leisurly breakfasts...Envy
SES, was that yur friend you mentioned in York? Lovely to get those sorts of calls Smile Work will settle down soon I hope - sept and oct always hectic, and we seem to have started lectures later this year so students still panicking etc (lecturers too!).
RUGBY, outdoor play stuff looks fab, as does pram Smile. You have inspired me to get ds an all-in-one waterproof suit too - hadn't thought about him being able to crawl about with one on in the garden!
TINKS, hope you're ok and it's just tiredness x
Right, second corrie beckons!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 08/10/2010 20:45

rugby - outdoor slide centre looks gret Grin

diege - cheers hun yeh just tired an anxiety related, girls being stressful!!

have got blinds except for one door one they r so smart Grin

Rugbylovingmum · 08/10/2010 21:23

Hee hee Diege - since I have a velcro baby just now I have to either carry her around the garden (while I pick our lovely apples and tomatoes) or let her crawl after me. I've just bought her these for crawling around and to wear in the back carrier.

Tink - glad you like your new blinds Smile

Diege - I hope things calm down at work soon . Our lecturers are all looking very stressed too - between dealing with new courses and students and waiting for grant reviews it's all a bit tense.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 10/10/2010 09:05

well me and dh made love last nite Blush
i started bleeding after
i am on the pill
it is only a small amount looks like i have an early period
i am not due for another 2 weeks
i have had a lot of headaches latley and been moody!!!

Diege · 10/10/2010 11:48

Hi TINKS. Sounds like it might be worth you going back to the drs about the pill you're on. It may be that you're getting break through bleeding which is quite common (due to effect of the hormones of the cervix, hence the bleed) but a pain, plus the headaches etc may signify that the hormones aren't agreeing with you.
Hope everyone else is ok. THanks for the waterproofs link RUGBY - I really like the look of the fleece-lined ones, esp for on the back of the bike.
Anyone else watch the x-factor last night?. Dds saw it this morning and were very confused with the strange breast rubbing of the dancers at the end of Wagner's performance Blush

maxxymoosmummy · 10/10/2010 12:04

afternoon all. sorry i have been AWOl again. just never find the time to get on lately to catch up properly aswel as post. hope everyone i well. M is at his dads for a few hours, so thought id take the opportunity to catch up and post.
DS is getting so clever, knowing body parts, and sayin tonnes of words and puting sentences together. this morning it was 'love you mummy' then 'cuggle mummy' he also buts bye bye together with other tings ie bye bye mummy. he makes me so proudSmile

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 10/10/2010 16:33

cantmummyhaveabreak · 11/10/2010 13:21

hello..... is anyone in here???

Have got a spot of SPD, getting a carriwell band to help with it, anyone used one? are they good?

Will be 12wks on thurs, got scan on the 19th too- friends getting really excited!!

DS is at the theatre with school today, and DD is at art club after school. Normally both DC's go but DS is back later from his trip so i have to collect him at 3.40 then DD finishes at 4.15!! hoping DS will just play at the park round the corner for half an hour before we have to get DD.

Diege- we will be going to underwater street on the 24th oct. If you're able to make it too we'd love to see you all. We'll be driving there and parking within liverpool centre somewhere.

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 11/10/2010 16:26

hi cant Grin
wow 12 weeks nearly already that has gone quick and exciting about scan Grin
sorry for spd!!
havent had problems with spd so cant comment on band sorry

GruffaloSoldier · 11/10/2010 17:08

Hi all!

Hey Cant - my scan is 19th too :) at 8.30am, which is a bit early but oh well at least I don't have to have a full bladder for too long!! Sorry to hear about SPD.

I am still suffering with sickness here and actually threw up for the first time on Sunday. Still tired but have had a bit of a cold too so not helping.

Had lots going on here last couple of weeks so havent managed to get back on. GC is just amazing us at the mo. He is learning at least one new word each day and we are finding this so exciting. I guess we never really thought about the process of learning to talk before!:)

MMM nice to hear from you and glad that DS is doing well.

Hope everyone is ok!

Diege · 11/10/2010 18:07

Hello! Wow those scans have come round quickly GRUFF and CANT Smile How exiciting!
I agree too about the talking. Even with ds being my no. 4 I am constantly amazed at each new stage. His face word (out of a vocab of say 4 words Grin) is 'bed', which I have no problems with! The next fave is 'no', not so good...
CANT, dh is taking the dds to visit friends in Wales on the weekend yu mention, but I will be here with ds so may well meet you at Underwater street - that's if your dd won't be too disappoited with L not there?
Right, better go. Already burnt a pan of rice (said pan is in bin - sssh don't tell dh of my slovenly ways). Back later x

essenceofSES · 11/10/2010 20:43

Hello!

I don't know where to start with a catch up...

Cant - sorry for the SPD. I never really sufferred but believe the support bands to help. Not sure of any particular types.

Gruff - hope the sickness passes.

Diege - oops at burnt pan!

MMM - sorry the job didn't work out in the end. Hope something crops up at the right moment for you that suits.

tink - glad you like your new blinds!

Rugby - that outdoor slide and climbing frame looks great!

talking babies - O really isn't saying much still, if anything. I regularly get a "shh, shh, shh" sound as he kicks his shoes off in the car. Other than that it's very occassional "cah" (car), "og" (dog) and "ish" (ish) and "yeah, yeah, yeah". His understanding is good but he's just not saying anything! I'm v impressed with all your chatty LOs!

ttc - I'm still waiting for an answer from work but I believe they can take 28days and it's only been 14. CD1 today and typically I think that makes ov right in the middle of DH's week in Spain with work. Guess that'll be another month gone :(

smithylovesme · 12/10/2010 09:30

Hi everyone, i am finally back in the land of internet access. We are settling back into our own place, small but ours for now and got DD's into school last week and can finally get back to my virtual world Grin

Quick message from me to say hi from my training course

essenceofSES · 13/10/2010 07:49

Morning!

Just thinking of GYo as I think it's this week that she's away. Hope you're enjoying your time away and DH and SG are getting on ok.
I have my second ever night away next week as my boss has asked me to represent him at a conference.

Great to see the miners gradually reaching their freedom.

Better get on and get showered. Usual Jo Jingles this morning for us and then this afternoon we're meeting up with another mum and little boy from DS's nursery in the park. We always end up chatting briefly at nursery so will be nice to have the opportunity to get to know them a bit better.

Hope you are all well and have good days :)

essenceofSES · 13/10/2010 07:52

What a freakily coincidental x-post GYo !!
Sounds quite intense but hope you manage to make the most of temporarily being off the hamster wheel!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 13/10/2010 10:05

morning.

GYo- hope the busy day is keeping you distracted from being away, but that you're also enjoying the alone time. :)

Tink- afraid i dont think i'll have a piccie to show, i dont want one with it not being my baby.

Gruff- sorry to hear of sickness still- it's not nice is it? How do we forget all the horrid parts so fast eh?

Ses- O sounds fine on his speach, DD2 didn't say a thing till 22m and is now well above her peers in her class acording to her teacher.

Oh- forgot to do some bragging last time i came on...

Had the DC's first parents evening of the year last week... Well.... DS has been moved up into the next year to do his 'phonics' lessons every day (letters, spelling etc). And the school have also recognised he's gifted in Maths and Literacy too, so they're going to work with him more closely to develop his skills. :) Then on top of that there's talks of if he continues to develop at such a fast rate he may well be moved up a year!! Shock never been done in the school before, so it's something new for them, and obviously i'm amazed!! He's only been at school for just over a year, we're on 1st 1/2 term of year 1 and already talks of being moved up, and recognised as gifted- i'm so bloody proud!! :)

DD's teacher in reception is also DS's teacher from last year, and he says the way she's going she's on track to do exactly the same as him!! Grin I just can't believe it!!

And on a sad note- i'm no longer a breastfeeding mummy :( DD has been reducing feeds for the last few months, and about 6 weeks ago it went down to one feed a day if we were lucky, then down to a couple of mouthfuls a day, then every other day, and my milk finally dried up about a week ago :( :( i'm really sad about it!!

tinkhasboughtoutalltheshops · 14/10/2010 09:38
