whats dal and nepalese?

Gemjar · 18/10/2010 18:18

Privet - The potty training has gone ok so far over the weekend, although constantly watching DS and sitting next to him on the potty all day has been very tiring. Thankfully he has been at nursery today, so they have taken over. They did say he has been doing well, but noticed on the way home that he was wearing a nappy!!!???

Will have to ask them about that one tomorrow...

PrivetDancer · 18/10/2010 18:19

Lots of long walks, mumcha!

PrivetDancer · 18/10/2010 18:21

Hmm ever likely he was 'doing well' if he had a nappy on!
Will be out tomorrow, might suggest DH tries it on his day off on Thursday :)

smokeybacon · 18/10/2010 19:21

Just popped in to see if anyone had had a baby yet and see that things are moving for hmmmsleep and mumcha. Thinking of you both and hope you will have gorgeous little bundles in your arms soon (if you haven't already).

34+3 here and consultant said induction between 37 and 38 weeks if nothing has happened by then.Thats not far away now. I'm ready to stop being pregnant but if I could have a couple of weeks respite between being pregnant and actually getting these babies, that would be lovely, thank you!!

balijay · 18/10/2010 19:50

Also just popped on to get my labour-watch update!

Labour vibes to hmm and mumcha and any one else who needs them - wishing you quick and easy deliveries.

35+5 here and feel like I have a loooonng way to go yet - I haven't even started ML yet!

cluelessnchaos · 18/10/2010 20:31

Dhal/dal as in lentil curry, nepalese food but any curry

mumcha · 18/10/2010 20:40

thanx for the tip i have had curry the last 3 nights that have burnt the roof of my mouth, plenty of long walks and sex Winkbut nothing is moving.Im just getting very bad braxton hicks hope things move along soon Grin.

umf · 18/10/2010 20:49

My respect for the ladies who are still going in to work is suddenly overridden by respect for the ones who are still having sex.

Fenouille · 18/10/2010 21:11

Oh come on umf, having to work out how to get around the bump makes it much more fun Wink Don't tell us you haven't tried? Grin

mumcha If it wasn't for the BH and impending labour you've just described my perfect weekend Grin I do hope things get moving for you soon.

tiany · 18/10/2010 21:23

haha umf i have to agree with you!

privet thanks, turns out the TENS wires were a bit lose... seems much better now.

mumcha & hmmmm wishing u lots of luck, i hear the long walks are the way to go.

mad dreams and very little sleep -- i am a zombie at work, think i will bring mat leave start date fwd a few days!

bunnygirl80 · 18/10/2010 22:54

I'm with everyone else on the mad dreams - last night I dreamt that I'd had the baby but every time we went out somewhere we'd leave him behind and not notice for several hours Hmm

I think I have to agree with umf on the sex front Grin

Pidgin · 19/10/2010 07:45

hmmsleep can't believe I missed your post above, good luck with everything and hope things are going well for you.

mumcha I've heard the long walks thing too. Also walking sideways up and down stairs, this helps the pelvis to open too apparently.

Umf that made me laugh - almost as much as a book I was reading the other day, which recommended you get labour started by having sex with your ankles against your partner's shoulders to ensure deep penetration Grin Grin! How many 9-months-pg women can lie on their back with ankles by their ears fgs... I too am impressed by anyone who is still having an, ahem, active lovelife at this stage in pg.

welcome celestine!

Working at home today thank God.

cluelessnchaos · 19/10/2010 08:38

Mumcha it's the dal that's important not the curry, I think it gave me wind that set me off without making me ill, I had some at about 28 weeks and it kicked off some really strong braxton hicks.

comtessa · 19/10/2010 09:36

A woman I know at church reckoned that driving round an unmade car park helped things along for her...

smokeybacon · 19/10/2010 09:47

Sex????? I think I have forgotten what that actually entails! Poor DH. It will be a while aswell.

mumcha the morning I went into labour with DS2 I was at soft play with DS1 and had a long(ish) walk at lunchtime. Waters broke at 4pm that afternoon. Keep walking!

nomoremagnolia · 19/10/2010 10:39

nomoremagnolia · 19/10/2010 10:44

comtessa · 19/10/2010 11:09

Babybean1 · 19/10/2010 11:15

What did you call him and how much did he weigh nomore?

Had the worst nights sleep last night!! Everything hurt and I just couldn't get comfy so am also a zombie today!!
Had weird dream that baby popped it's head out through my tummy (think that's after all the strange shapes my tummy makes!!) and I had to try to keep it warm before getting hold of the midwife but phone wouldn't work and i was in a complete pickle!! Was a boy but looked very odd!! Weird thing are dreams hey??

AddictedIsFeelingHappy · 19/10/2010 11:28
