Afternoon all! Hope things are going well for everyone.

You've all reminded me I need to weigh Mindy, I've not done that for a while. Hmm I'll hop on the scales with her later and see what she's up to, I can't at the moment as I'm at work!! DH is at home being a SAHD for a day.

She's 10 weeks today and I don't think she'll be as heavy as some of the lovely bouncing babies in here. She's still incredibly long, though... Fills the 3-6 month sleepsuits, lengthwise. Confused I'm starting to buy in the 6-9 month clothes, though I think I'm going to need to take the waists in as she's slim around the middle.

I've had a bit of a cold over the last few days... I've been keeping an eye on Mindy but she's not shown any symptoms so far. Since I had the cold, is she likely to get it? Or since I'm breastfeeding will I have passed across the necessary defences from this cold, having battled it myself? Or is it pot luck over what happens? :)

Im going to weigh Dylan next Tues to see how he's doing, last weigh in was 11lb 6 and I think he was around 6 or 7 weeks.

Ive just got home from the mother and baby group, we learnt baby massage which Dylan seemed to enjoy, grinning at the group leader!
Also met some other mums, although not everyone turned up apparently.
Dylan was the best behaved baby there, didnt cry once [proud mother emoticon]

Had 2 hours (!) sleep this morning with Dylan laying on me, it was just what I needed, would be nice to have another nap this afternoon as he's sleeping in his bouncy chair at the mo.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

mylife thanks for the fb info i dont have a friend request though??
Kind of good news with the Doc, but no advice for his eating though?
tsc Had Doggys hair cut today, he looks so funny, like a little rat! Also picked up my perscription for my back. Doc has given me co-codamol and some muscle relaxant as she thinks my lower back muscles are in spazm due to posture because of my coccyx. I hope they dont make me drowsy as im done in enough already.
Devons sleeping was a bit out last night. Last feed at 10, up at 2.50 took 3oz took AGES to settle, up at 6.45 for feed. If he was still in my room it would have driven me mental! He cat napped this morning had a good 2 hrs over lunch and has been down again now for over an hour. What does everyone do in the day, let them sleep if they want or wake them up as it may be too much? Anyone read the baby whisperer, is it worth reading?

viks think at this age if lo wants to sleep you have to go with it. Rileighs been quite sleepy today and there wasnt anything i could do to wake her lol, bet i'm not laughing when shes up all night

tsc thats shit, you'd think under the circumstances the could waiver the charge, the twat on the phone should just have fixed it, you'd think the money was coming from their pocket. Meant to say earlier well done with frakies fab growth, rileigh seems to be slowing but i think its her reflux

Go mlic on the pma, has the gp app made you feel better?

They used to do it with ds chulita when he was 6wks old i was asked why he wasnt in his buggy and at bout a year old even though he could walk i was asked why he couldnt speak. Im just hoping people arent the same with rileigh but i suppose if she was tiny they would comment too.

dh your group sounds great, its nice to meet new mums isnt it?

spireal rileighs the same with 3-6 months stuff, hoping shes evening out a bit as she has so many clothes to get through

I am in shock, as i had said rileigh has slept a fair bit today and has went into bed with no fuss and shes sleeping yay x

Morning all,

stac yeah I hope we all become quite good friends over the next few weeks, well would be good to make at least one!

Not really got any plans today, weather doesnt look great which is annoying cos I was going to go for a walk around my old town.

Whats everyone upto today?

Chulita · 16/09/2010 08:22

Hello!

Sam's got his 8 week check this afternoon, otherwise we've got nothing planned. The weather's crap and our swings are broken so I'm trying to see what I can do to keep DD busy for the morning!

You lot have big babies! Sam's just about reaching the end of 0-3 clothes but there's no way he could be in 6-9 yet! Shock

lyndons still in 0-3, hes sleeping loads in day at the mo so i think hes having a growth spurt but ive still got 0-3 clothes with tags on so i dont want him out of them yet!!!
dh glad you enjoyed the group i really need to get out and find a group, wont be long until lyndon is bored of me gurning at him to keep him amused!
as my pushchair is being repaired and hes still too small for the second phase of it mum bought a stroller that will eventual be kept in her car, its the cosatto one thats cosytoes says little pip squeek, very cute think i will get one myself when the time comes to get a stroller, but as im so short stroller handles seem so high compared to mine that i adjust to short arse person setting!!! also got new monitors as ones sil gave us buzzes, having lazy day doing jobs in the house today whats everyone else up to?

stac14 · 16/09/2010 11:31

i have to go shopping for baby clothes, not for rileigh though lol. My friend had her little girl and another had a boy. Also my cousins wedding tomorrow, but we're just going to the after bit. X

mlic yeah thats a good idea, Ill see what they say when I suggest it (might not be brave enough to do it next week tho lol, I dont even know their names!)

Dylan did quite well last night, he did 9-1:30 then feed then slept in my bed til 6:10 but then was grunting, fidgeting and generally disturbing us til about half 7 when we got up.
Did have a nice 2 hour nap this morning though Grin

Been for a lovely walk along the seafront, he was awake the whole time but got some colour in my cheeks!

Hi all!!
On the talk of clothes i bought ellie all new stuff the other day cos she was completely filling the 0_3 month stuff. Have her on her new aleepsuits (got some lovely ones in belfast) but they'r so big on her! So gonna have to keep her in just sleepsuits for the mext few weeks again cos the clothes will look crap being so big.
Her cold doesnt seem to be shifting. Shes sneezing up massive green snots today and kept waking up last night from being so congested. Dont know what i can do for her. We brought her into the bed with us at 5 o clock the last 2 mornings cos she couldnt settle flat in the crib the poor thing.

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/09/2010 16:36

kk you can get those syringes for getting the snot out her nose, sounds gross but might help her sleep.

mlic can you not start a routine and just dont feed him til set times? My friend said she did that and it helped.

mylife its crap, poor boy and poor you too. Whats the next step, there must be something they can do? Is he on hungry baby milk?
DH The seafront walk sounds lovely, i fancy that myself over the weekend, bet the weather will be crap!
Devon is being difficult tonight, waking up and crying whilst he is in the wonder swing, his feding times are all over the place today and i think the main reason for that is he didnt wake till 5.15am from 11pm last night, which is great but has put us all out of sync. Does everyone have a routine now in the day, i still feel like im drifting a bit. I have felt a bit emotional the last few days, possibly because of it being time of the month for the first time in months, also my back is still very uncomfortable and today i have woken up with a stiff neck and a sore throat. My DH has just had a bit of a go saying that all i do is moan! I feel like i have been told off. I do feel bad for him as he is really stressed at work and Devon cried at him when he came home which i felt responsible for again.....I think im just tired and sickening for something, but i am FED UP!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/09/2010 21:46

viks I was quite lucky with weather today, started to rain on the drive home!
Also we dont have anything remotely close to a routine! We almost do wrt napping i.e not many! But when it comes to feeding he could do it all day if I let him.

mlic lets hope it was just a blip then and I expect the constipation prob played a part. Hope you have a better day today :)

Dylan did well last night, he went to bed at 10, same time as us, slept til 1ish, had a feed then slept til 6:45! Gave him a feed with us both laying on our sides which was easier for me but gave him wind but slept til about 7:20.

Going to the breastfeeding group again today, then meeting a friend in town. Going to try and get Dylan a baby dressing gown Grin
