think your right about lighter phase of sleep as rileighs great when we first go to bed then after a feed she starts grunting.

Hv just away forgot her scales, bugger. On the upside Rileigh has her 6wk check on monday when shes nearly 7wks, cant believe she'l be getting her jabs soon.

chulita have you seen GP re: thrush? I went because mine was really painful (and Elle had white spots in her mouth) and ended up coming away with medicine for her mouth and my boobs.

Also got given antibiotics, turns out I have an infected uterus and my after cramps are not after cramps at all! Which is good because they are really painful. Got to go back and be seen again on Thursday, but hopefully all sorted now.

Chulita · 17/08/2010 14:35

gracie I've been 3 times, the last time they gave me something that's not for use while bfing Hmm shows how well they listen. I'm trying stuff without shoving pills down my throat and if that doesn't work I'll go back and ask for Fluconazole at a reasonable dosage instead of the half-arsed one they gave me. How's your DS settling in with Elle?

stac how annoying! I really wanted to know how much Sam had put on and now I'll have to wait for a bit longer, no hardship but I just wanted to know!

stac14 · 17/08/2010 14:47

me too chulita especially because of rileigh being sick so often. Oh well next week it is.

Has anyone had their 6wk check? Mines is tomorrow, just wondering what they check. I have to get a glucose tolerance test so fasting from midnight and stuck in the hospital for 3 hours or so with lo x

my internets gone down so doing this on my phone. Thanks for the advice
that's exactly what he seems to need to be loosend up. He did a huge dirty nappy earlier and was really happy afterwards. That's the first one since yesterday morning, but it is loose when it comes out so can't be constipation can it.
Mylife toms sound ace, I'd love to grow something I can eat but I'm to lazy!
TSC I got a massive hour and a half at twelve and I feel sooooo much better. Devon woke at two so I even had time to do some lunch hurrah. I havent done anything else today though and I don't care a bit!

DesperateHousewife21 · 17/08/2010 16:59

viksam yeah it was me who said about the grunting. Dylan still does it from about 5am onwards and nothing I do besides feeding him will stop it and even then he sometimes grunts through the feed!
He finally stops when I cant bear listening to it anymore and get out if bed, usually around 8ish.

I thought maybe cos it starts getting light and we've got crappy velux let-all-the-light-in blinds but it could just be wind or something.

memphis83 · 17/08/2010 17:33

vik according to my doctor they dont class new babies to be constipated until they haveny been for 4 days!!!!Shock they told me that when i took Lyndon and then looked at e like i was stupid for being concerned after a day and a half

beckyg123 · 17/08/2010 22:22

just popped on to say hi! just got sam down to sleep- gave him a bath in the "big bath" tonight as the baby bath seems too small already! he loved it! floated around for ages and was so unbelievably chilled out! so sweet :)

wow memphis 4 days without a poo! Sam does on in just about every nappy! He did a massive one earlier in his car seat and is squirted up his back! lovely!

Have decided to go to my friends hen night on saturday- my mum is babysitting as DH working late. I'm really nervous about it but know i need to make myself do it! Will prob only do dinner and pub bit and not go out to club as not drinking and would like to give sam his last feed myself. Only one problem- i haven't a clue what to wear! really got nothing other than my baggy maternity stuff as my own clothes don't fit yet. Think i'll go shopping but don't have much money and know whatever i buy won't last long. I also have no idea what kind of clothes are in right now- feel so out of touch with life!

stac14 · 17/08/2010 22:36

becky the best i could do was leggings and a top. Are they having a theme? Most hen nights do something. How was the library?

That is shocking to leave a baby for 4 days isnt it memphis, i was worried when lo didnt go for a full day so no wonder you said to the docs

viks its amazing how a poo sorts them out

OP posts:
beckyg123 · 17/08/2010 22:47

stac the library book bug launch looked like it was good but i got lost and was so late we missed most of it! got a good catch up with violet tho- Iris is so cute and cuddly! Leggings are a no go for me as my legs are like tree trunks! will hopefully find something cheap and chearful in primark or new look.
Right we need to arrange to meet up- are you free anytime next week? i have the car so can get to most places- hopefuly not get lost and be so late as i was on friday! violet said she wants to come and meet you too! where is good for you?
Is your DS back to school this week? must be a shock to his system after long hols!

right off too bed now- Sam seems settled :)

beckyg123 · 17/08/2010 22:52

stac no theme for hen do- had an email which says smart dress and they have stuff to dress up the hen! ach well- will find something! just don't want to look frumpy like i feel every day!

kkfairybrains · 17/08/2010 22:53

stac riliegh getting so big! she's a gorgeous wee thing!
our 'relations' have been absolutely brill! better than ever and im enjoying it more than i ever did and mad for it all the time! 3 times in the last day! dont know whats came over me....
well remember i was saying about bringing ellie for the cure for the thrush...? well brought her and it worked.literally the man breathed into her mouth 3 times and he said a prayer and its cleared!weird! well anyway the stuff i got for her colic didnt work so i've put her onto dr brown bottles and then a friend of mine was telling me about someone with the cure for colic and she called this evening to do it. i swear she wasnt out the door 5 minutes and ellie had settled.she hung her upside down and said prayers and she has to do it for 3 days and then its gone. it sounds so weird but there's a cure for everything in ireland!sounds very out there though but i'ves een the one for the thrush worked so i believe in it! fingers crossed this is gonna work.

viksam · 17/08/2010 23:03

I'm so gutted, DH has gone in the spare room. We have been together 19 years and have never slept apart before. I really hope he doesn't resent the baby for pushing him out. I know its only temporary but it feels like such a negative and I feel a bit abandoned what with him going back to work this week too. I really do think too much I probably need to get out to some groups and make some mommy friends. I wish u guys were local!

However, if im going to have many nights like tonight i think ill be fit for nothing. He just wont settle and its driving me round the bend. I have no idea why, every time i put him down he just cries. even if hes next to me!! or on me!! Oh sleep, where did u go?

memphis83 · 18/08/2010 09:02

becky lol at squirting up the back, our doctors guidelines are also 2 poos a day the size of a 50p is a regular baby... a 50p??? Lyndon literally fills his nappy! when he does a massive one his dad is so proud and dh always insists on showing me! cant believe we now praise big farts, burps poos and bogies!!Grin
we have a 21st birthday to go to saturday, were only going for an hour as we have that overnight wedding on the sunday, been flapping about a dress for wedding so much not thought of the birthday!! hope you find something becky i went shopping and cried in the lift that i felt old at 27, i went in lipsy and felt so out of touch with fashion.

mlic wow at your dh not changing nappies, in 1st week mine did more than me, i couldnt bear to touch his cord so dh had to take over! strangely after not seeing him for 5 days last week 1st thing he said was let me change your nappy! maybe he has a thing about them! Hmm
taking Lyndon docs at 11, woke up and just dressed him, hes covered in a rash, hope its just sweat rash, if thats all it is will probably look at me like im neurotic again! :)

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/08/2010 09:45

Ive finally got an appointment for my 6 week check next Mon at 7:40AM!
Its lucky Im usually awake at that time lol.

Didnt have a bad night last night really, he slept from 9-1 then til about 5am, he still grunts and strains for a couple of hours after 5, he fell back asleep around 7 but only for a bout half hour.

Im waiting on a dress to come today, Ive got 2 weddings to go to soon and couldnt find a nice dress anywhere, then decided to go online, found a really nice one from river island, hope it fits!

memphis83 · 18/08/2010 13:36

tsc Lyndons the same saves himself so he can pee on you and he dumps about 4 times a day, usually once on me! my dh says his bum is like the play doh factory machine that makes sausages, we got one of those meal for 2 curries from asda, dh asked for korma then went oh no that looks like..... excuse me love can i change my mind!!! Grin

well doctor was lovely wasnt made to feel stupid says its milk rash even though hes only had 3 spots on his nose since birth and he literally is covered from the elbows up now and thats come up overnight, he said to put oil in his baths and use aqeous cream, his words were andything with the brand Johnsons on especially the lotion and the oil is the work of the devil! glad im not using either of these but have been using the top to toe wash as the nurses used it in hospital!

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/08/2010 13:49

memphis Ive got loads of Johnsons products, they were a gift from a grandma when Dylan was born!
Although the HV told me to use the oil cos he has dry skin and he seems to be ok lol.

I HATE waiting in for things, Ive been tracking my dress and it says its been loaded onto the driver's van, Im guessing this means it'll be with me today?
I want to go and see my sister!

memphis83 · 18/08/2010 13:58

dh normally they get delivered on day they get put on van so fingers crossed it will be with you soon and it fits well! my hv said when he was 1st born not to use the oil and lotion as they have such a high amount of chemicals in them, i cant use either of those myself as my skin is so sensitive so i wouldnt be able to rub them into his skin! i use talc on him and they are dead against that too!! but he loves it when i rub it over him!
