Apparently at 25wks the baby is 34cm long and weighs about 0.6kg/1lb 4oz. Mine is very curled up if it's 34cm , must be running out of room already......

sweetheart · 02/09/2005 15:43

1Ib 4Oz

Where has the other 19.5Ibs come from then!!!

Can you believe I'm actually starting to hope that there is a big baby inside of me - otherwise how on earth am I gonna get rid of all the extra weight!!!

sweetheart · 02/09/2005 15:44

At least if I have a 10Ib'er that 10Ib's I won't have to go to the gym to loose!!!!

scully · 02/09/2005 15:50

I haven't weighed myself since I fell pregnant, scales don't work at home and don't want to use the ones in Boots
I am curious though to see what I've put on.....
not now though, after my thickshake
Wonder how I can get to Boots first thing in the morning, before I've eaten anything??

ei23mummy · 02/09/2005 16:34

dramaqueen72 · 03/09/2005 08:31

bonkerz · 03/09/2005 08:56

morning all,

Alex has started to be alot more quiet and im not sure if i am imagining it but her movements have changed slightly from definate kicks to proper moves IYKWIM. She is still keeping me awake at night and waking me in the morning by dancing on my bladder though!!!

Not really alot else to say. Am fine, heavy and large! HAve a good day all!

ebbie22 · 03/09/2005 09:13

Have a grtt day all xx

Nemo1977 · 03/09/2005 09:29

morning all

DQ it is funny how they are managing to keep us awake now, and this baby seems in cahoots with ds as he goes to sleep it wakes up..lol

Bonkerz, thanks for parcel hun and pmsl at the washing tabs...lol were not that poor..lol
Am sure alex is moving around more so you can feel her shifting, this babe still seems to be lying breech as kicks are all right at sides by hips rather than anywhere else..o well plenty of time before I have to worry.

Ebbie, poor you being wide awake, i am like that after no sleep. Last night wasnt too bad as went to bed at 10.30 which is early for me. Did wake up a lot which is the norm now and ds is bake to his 6am wakes...sigh

not a lot planned today apart from to cut the grass, clip and wash the dog, tidy around especially kitchen and do washing....oooo and am attempting to make home made cottage pie without the help of my father in law for the first time...so wish me luck..lol I have made it with him helping but its easy then as he was a chef.

ebbie22 · 03/09/2005 09:36

I dont know why i cant sleep at the moment, although come 3pm i aam ready for my bed,oh for the days when i was pregnant with dd on my day off i would of been tucked up fast asleep..lol
Havent really any plans for today bar the usual house hold chores[sad isnt it]...

Nemo1977 · 03/09/2005 10:06

it is sad...which is probably why I still havent moved off my butt...lol

dramaqueen72 · 03/09/2005 10:46

same here, usual errands, trip to post office, some ironing, some baking......oh how exciting my life is!

sweetheart · 03/09/2005 11:29

I bumped into an old school friend last night only to find out she is expecting her 1st baby a couple of weeks after me. The terrible thing is I wouldn't have even noticed she was preg if she hadn't told me. She is tiny - hardly any bump at all!!! And she's still in her normal clothes - size 8-10 I bet too

I looked like a beached whale in comparison to her!!!!

Anyway, we have our niece and nephew coming for a sleep over tonight so I bet I'll get very little sleep - 3 kids under 7!!!!! What have I let myself in for

dramaqueen72 · 03/09/2005 14:30

mmmm, s/h, just think of tonights no sleep as a rehearsal!

ugh, I'm sorry about the whale moment! I just detest bumping into tiny no bump ladies!! it makes me feel so awful!
I am reassured right now tho, as my midwife said I am measuring EXACTLY right for dates fabulous!

george32 · 04/09/2005 12:15

I'm with you on the beached whale look.
It was strange but on holiday I was less traumatised than usual about being seen in a bikini even though I must have looked a sight. I think I must be past caring now.

Chaos in our house as DP is sanding our bedroom floor, all going horribly wrong at the moment so keeping out of the way. I just want somewhere to put our new bed up.

I know we keep coming back to the baby moving but is it normal that on Friday it was wriggling & kicking all day (& most of the night) and now not a peep except for the occasional tap?

going4potty · 04/09/2005 12:58

hi g32. Its really strange you saying you didbt feel too bad wearing bikini while preggers. I was the same, normally feel a bit self concious etc, but while pregnant actually felt well sexy! (grin)

sweetheart · 04/09/2005 15:59

george,

So long as you have felt a movement it's fine. Don't forget that the babies are just like normal people and have days where they are tired and just want to sleep. I'm not sure where you are but it's boiling her today so that probably doesn't help. Another point to remember is that those little beans aren't so little any more so they are running out of space - it's probably getting a bit tight in there now so they are bound to move around less.

Having niece and nephew was nice last night - although i am shattered today. Still, an early night will cure that.

Dd is back to school tomorrow - so I feel like we're on the run up to Xmas a bit more. Plus I am due exactly 3 months today so as of tomorrow I can say I've got less than 3 months to go

Been feeling a bit fed up with this pregnancy lark that last few days. Because I was pregnant for 4 months before this pregnancy (with only a month inbetween) I've been pregnant for the best part of a year!!!!!! I'm really looking forward to having a few drinks and letting my hair down come Xmas!!! And cuddling my new bundle of joy of course

bonkerz · 04/09/2005 17:53

SNap Sweetheart, just want to hold my baby.
Have has a quiet weekend really, went to cinema last night with DH which was nice, just to get out really!
Feeling abit low today but cant pinpoint why! Have had lots of sleep this weekend but just feel over emotional and like i want to huddle under the duvet and not come out, Unfotunately that cant happen cos got to work tomorrow!!!
Bump feels alien to me today as well. Just want my baby! I know its not long now but am just strating to realise that im gonna have to fight to get the delivery i want and if i dont get the elective c/s i really think i may break down!
Ok enough of my gloom and doom! Will pick myself up as i always do im sure!

sweetheart · 04/09/2005 19:45

I've got my labrynthesis (sp?) back - someone else had it on here didn't they???

Does anyone know if I can take the Stemtil tablets???

ei23mummy · 05/09/2005 00:00

hey s/h do you mean labyrinthitis?? the ear thing? if so then the stemetil can be taken during pregnancy- they use it as a second-line treatment for severe morning sickness. but better safe than sorry go see your doctor first and get some antibiotics to get rid of the infection- hey i knew this nursing thing would come in handy for somethin!!
hows everyone been? iv been busy busy busy!! went on the hunt yesterday for my first craving!! chopped pork!!! crazy as everywhere i tried had sold out!! i was startin to panic then my sister told me a shop down the road from hers had a meat counter i went there an hey presto i got my pork!! i could have kissed the woman behind the counter!! she musta thought i was nuts as i bought £2.20 worth and ate a piece on the way out!! mmmmmm yum!
i went to see the 40yr old virgin on the pics b4! v.v.v.v.v. funny! and ate a large popcorn nearly all to myself!! i feel a bit like a whale now but hey who give a s**t i enjoyed the popcorn!! man im gunna be huuuge when i have this bub!!

dramaqueen72 · 05/09/2005 09:08

woohooooooooooooooooooooooo can you HEAR the sigh of relief going up across the country? my 2 big children are back at school and its BLISS! washing is on, drying is on, dishwashers on, toddler happy in front of cbeebies for half an hour and ITS SO QUITE! i havent heard anyone say 'its not fair' for hours -heaven!
did some baby shopping yesterday, bedding and babygrows, nappies and lotions and potions! baby has quite a stash of stuff now. its so exciting to unpack it all!
hope everyone has a lovely morning

bonkerz · 05/09/2005 09:19

YEY got my Zooper last night for less than £100, BARGAIN. Dh still not happy though even though we have saved £80!! MEN

Went into DS school today cos he had a big tantrum and said he didnt want to go! urns out he lashed out on Friday and caught a dinner lady in face. Started to cry infront of teacher! I know my son has a temper and DH and I are trying everything to sort it out but im upset noone told me on Friday! Am trying not to make excuses but DS was only 5 at end of July and has been put in a class with 6 and 7 year olds and his teacher is not the most approachable (spoke to other ums who agree) Do you think the baby could be adding to his aggression cos we do get the 'DONT WANT A SISTER' shouting when he kicks off. Am just feeling more low now.
Am getting really painfl cramps in tops of thighs and bottom of bump when i walk, but then i do push 2 toddlers in a tandem so suppose its my own fault really! Roll on 11th November!

Nemo1977 · 05/09/2005 09:22

aww DQ at your stash of baby items

Ei..lol at the chopped pork

Bonkerz ds is probably not sure what to expect when the baby arrives so is trying out the boundaries. Also in regards to school was this his first summer off cos if so would expect him to be a bit tempremental when he went back especially with changes at home too. Although you are right you should have been told on fri.

Not a lot going on here apart from a blissful lie in until 7.30am due to is being dark...ooo roll on winter just so my son will sleep in..lol

sweetheart · 05/09/2005 09:37

ei, yes the middle ear infection. Thanks for the info - your a star. I've got a Dr appt later today thank goodness - I feel like I'm on a boat or something today.

Had a total nightmare of a morning. Got dd all smartly dressed and ready for school - only for her to throw up all down herself!!! She was far too over excited. I've sent her in and told the teacher if she appears unwell to ring me straight away. Don't think they will though as I'm sure once she's back with all her friends she'll be fine.
