Hello at last, hope you are all well, welcome back to all that have been away{cant remember names as memory up the blink}..

I cant believe you are all wishing to be bigger,i wish i was just a little smaller and could eat without putting on enoromas amounts of weight....lol

Also havent the money to get loads of funiture if we can stretch for a cot,and pictures to decorate the nursey that will be grand....
Pushchair is going to stay the same, maybe get a new stroller if we have to once its born...
Although have got used to not having a buggy in the house anymore, may become a bit of a shock....
Am really worried that this baby is going to be huge, how much bigger are the second ones supposed to be?

scully · 30/08/2005 16:10

not sure how much bigger 2nd ones are supposed to be, but I'm definitely bigger this time and a different shape, to last time.
not sure on movement either, think it's still random at this stage as they have plenty of room so don't always bump us. not sure at around what week that starts to change though?
which hospital in surrey are you going to Jay? I'm going to Royal Surrey, can't remember about pilates though. Is your midwife helpful, she should have an idea of what's on offer?

ei23mummy · 30/08/2005 16:21

i just rang the cow and gate midwife line (i think my m/w is gettin sick of my constant questions!!) to ask them about the movement and while i was on the phone the bub decided it was time to start dancin round my tum!! yay i was startin to get a bit worried as i aint felt it move all day!- must just be a lazybones like its mum! c&g said it varies on the movements as its still relatively small an cud be in a position where im less likely to feel it as the baby an not jus back pain or wind etc.
im happy now tho my belly looks like its all jiggly now hehe- like the alien scene!!

ei23mummy · 30/08/2005 16:25

ebbie, i dont think theres a particular rule when it comes to 2nd babies, my firens 2nd was 1/2 a pound lighter than her first and he was 4 days late! then again my mum said that she thought my bro was twins at first cos she was so big with him- turns out that aswell as havin loads of fluid he was 10lb at birth-2 weeks early!! so you really cant tell! u might be carryin more fluid around the bub cos that can add on the pounds!

ei23mummy · 30/08/2005 16:43

mind you that was her fourth! we were all around the same weight apart from my bro!- theres four of us! my other bro was more than a pound lighter than me an i was lighter than my sister by 1/2 a lb depends on the person an the bub i suppose...(im ramblin!!!)

Nemo1977 · 30/08/2005 17:01

hello all
re weight of second i dont think there is a science..I am hoping for around same as ds or maybe less although he was surprisingly easy for a 9lb 1 baby..lol

Have spent the day sorting out garden for winter so deflating bouncy castles etc and typically the sun has decided to shine instead of the wind and rain we have had mostly of late..lol

dramaqueen72 · 30/08/2005 17:34

hey ladies
just measured and i am just under nine squares.........felt sure owuld of grown loads while away but maybe not! has changed shape tho - now look EXACTLY like I have a basket ball shoved under top., its very firm and round and all at the front! and if one more person says 'oh arent you abit big for 23wks?' I will thump them. somebody please come up wtih cutting remark for me!
and about to attempt emailing all storks so, wish me luck. sweetheart -just to add to your manic day, am sending you four storks including me, to sort out. instructions in email.......

dramaqueen72 · 30/08/2005 17:35

and re second baby size -mine was lighter....thrid was heaviest yet (only by a tiny bit) and fourth......we shall see!

dramaqueen72 · 30/08/2005 17:40

nemo, can you link me to our other thread? with cadmum and all on? I've lost it.........

sweetheart · 30/08/2005 17:58

ahhhh so glad to be home!!!!

Everything seems to have come at once at work - still it should only last a couple of days at the most. Then I'll be moaning I'm bored again. At least this week will go quickly - and that makes me one week closer to mat leave

Jayz, I've also noticed my bubba has been very queit the last couple of days. It's sods law as I have a mw appt tomorrow and it always goes quiet so i panic about finding the heartbeat!! Personally I think it's coz it's been so hot the last few days. I'm quite near to you so the temp must be about the same.

On the heartburn subject - I've also found that milk is very effective. And gaviscon is best - if you can stick drinking the bloody awful stuff!!!

DQ, no worries about the e-mail. I'll let you know when I get it and I'll sort out the remaining storks - we don't want you being left out

Right - I'd better cook tea.
See you all later!!!!

bonkerz · 30/08/2005 18:06

Congrats girls you have been busy today!!

I get so tired and heavy in the afternoons! Find myself waddling and resting ALOT, went into a shop today and an old lady asked me to reach something off the shelf, as i moved from behind my double buggy to do it she stopped me and apologised and said she didnt realise i was pregnant and how sorry she was for asking!! So sweet, she smiled at my friend and said "bless her she must be due soon!!" was just shocked cos i dont think i look THAT big!!!

Have decided that DH and I are going to have an argument tonight about loyalties and responsibities. I have for the past few months been buying lots for our baby, i have paid for everything in the nursery and even our holiday to blackpool and our holiday in october. He has managed to spend well over £200 on DVD and CDS for HIMSELF in the last month! Im trying to plan ahead to see if i can scrape together £130 for a new buggy and he is spending money on junk!! Gonna tell him he either puts MY car through the MOT next week OR buys our baby the buggy. The crunch came when 2 parcels were delivered today containing 20 Horror DVDs costing £35!!! MEN.
OK rant over.

mychelle · 30/08/2005 18:42

Hello all

I'm confused, hope i got this right - is this the original due in dec 2006 which was meant to say 2005 thread. If so i'm in the right place. If not back to the drawing board.

bonkerz · 30/08/2005 19:00

OK had our row! DH is now writing me a chq for £100!! Few tears and i won!!!! OMG he is even hoovering!!!
Looks like im getting my buggy!!!
Mychelle, you are in the right place!!

Nemo1977 · 30/08/2005 19:02

mychelle you are on the right board

ei23mummy · 30/08/2005 19:11

oh my word!! iv jus bin told that my g.p has died!!! jeez he was only young aswell- an such a nice man!! he had a massive heart attack the day after gettin back from his holidays!! wow!!

ei23mummy · 30/08/2005 19:15

blokes always do more housework for you if you have a tantrum!! i noticed that las week when i had a go at my dp over him not washin the bath after he used it (ewww!) i told him about my friend threatening to kick her b/f out cos he never helps with the kids or round the house-sayin of course it wont ever get that bad with us...next thing i know i was sittin with a cuppa watchin the soaps while he cooked our tea and cleaned the kitchen!! reverse psychology at its best!!

mychelle · 30/08/2005 19:58

glad i found you.

My b/f has been great. Havent been able to post due to being off work. Doc signed me off with basically back strain. Work have been great and moved my desk to the main office so i have less distance to walk in between offices and no stairs.

Hows everyone in general, i cant go through all the goss messages i have missed.

Jaysfirst · 30/08/2005 22:17

hiya ei, nice to have a reply! So strange to read all about you lot having so many diff experiences, i still have it in my mind that i am not that far along and that i have plenty of time before anything happens....but i guess i am nearly six months so i best start getting used to it!
Feel it move a fair bit but theres no reg pattern at the mo ie someone said that they used to feel it all the time when they wer ein the bath, mine still seems to do whatever, when ever!!
I have found antenatal classes so thats cool, seem reasonable too, also closer to me than the hospital which is a bonus. Just need to find me a pilates class!

dramaqueen72 · 30/08/2005 23:11

alright stork ladies, forgive my strange hour, but you have been EMAILED! secret storks are now handed out!
s/h -thankyou for sorting those four out, am So excited about mine
can I go shopping NOW?!

dramaqueen72 · 30/08/2005 23:12

hey mychelle, nice to see you again sorry about the back.....
how far are you now? (I'm so crap at keeping up when whos due.......sorry!)

sweetheart · 31/08/2005 09:23

Morning everyone.

I have to appologise to the stork on my list as DQ's e-mail was much better than mine!!! So, these are the details I missed off my e-mail. Sorry DQ - I've pinched your message

this is your secret stork -shh! dont tell her!
now you have her details you can be stork shopping for a gift for baby/nusery/mum of around £10ish. (think everyones sending it pretty much as soon as they have bought it) Try and not give away who you are from the parcel either.
Then it would be nice to send a card when they give birth too.
we shall all reveal who we all are to each other after the babies are all here - not too long now!

dramaqueen72 · 31/08/2005 10:55

LOL sweetheart.
hope everybody got their storks okay, I honestly dreamt about it all, and woke wondering if my pg brain had done something stupid like send everyone themselves or the same person.....

ninah · 31/08/2005 11:14

aha! thanks for the stork message. Can't wait to get to the shops for my mystery mum! someone v nice .... oh yes.
glad it's not just me who looks about 2 months further on than I am! people keep saying 'oh you must be having a girl'which is a polite way of saying omg you've spread out ALL over! dq what you describe is normally what they say 'must be' a boy. If you really want them to leave you alone you could give them a crazy look and say 'well it it the Messiah' ...

george32 · 31/08/2005 11:53

Thanks for arranging the storks DQ & SH. Have we sorted something out for Nemo so she is still included?
Can we have a bit of time to arrange, my brain is addled at the moment so it will take me ages to pick something!

Hi Mychelle, Hi Jaysfirst, nice to see you both back here.

Right, I've spoken to my bf and she is back on form again today & open to a visit so I'm off to see her beautiful baby & get in some cooing practice.

Nemo1977 · 31/08/2005 11:57
