Hi all you wonderful pregnant ladeees.
Well just caught up! I do love it when you chat like that!!
Nemo: glad DS has started sleeping a bit longer! Am also glad to see you have physio on 19th! Lets hope its a male hunk!!!
George: Would be great to see oyu on meetup if you could make it! Like Nemo siad i think its gonna be a last minute decision for all of us but planning it may make time go quicker! IYKWIM
EI: How did the pampering go? My DH idea of pampering me is taking my plate to the sink after tea!!
Sweetheart: Still feeling like a new woman today? New hair and osteopath!! You are a lucky laydeeeee!!!
Expat: You are so lucky to have a willing person to help after the birth. My family live far from me and we really are not close so dont think they will een bother visiting! Dh nan has said she wants to come to ours for christmas though to help with kids so will have a little bit of help!
Thomcat: Everyone keeps reminding me that this time round im not 21 again! I think 2nd pregnancies really do take their toll. Ive been pregnant now 3 times in a year and im sure thats adding to my discomfort this time! Blooming hormone overload i think! Hope you feeling better tonight and dont go doing too much at club!
Floops: You really are relaxed if you leave sorting out till November! Ive been panicking for weeks about getting stuff ready! Have now readched a point (i think) where im trying not to do anything else cos i want something to do after 11 november when i start my maternity leave!!
And as for hospital bag! I did buy 2 new bath sheets last weekeend which have been hid away for my hospital bag! Think i will start preparing that when i get back off holiday in October!!

Am off out tonight, got invited out and think its mainly cos i can drive and friends can then drink without taxi! Not that i mind, am just worrying about what to wear! Havent been to a club since i was 5 weeks pregnant!! Maybe my mates invited me to make them look skinnier too!! Dh said i look ROTUND!!!!!! He really is a romantic!! Told him that there are many men out there that find a bump attractive and that im sure i will not be short of male attention! Hers hoping hey!!

OK, did you all notice i had to write notes when catching up! hope i didnt miss anyone!

Enough now, gotta take little car to be fixed for MOT and DH working all day so gonna do something just ME, DS and DSD!!! Bye girls....

dramaqueen72 · 10/09/2005 12:15

morning ladies
whats everyone doing today?

my bump is so low and so heavy its worrying me.....I feel 35wks not 25!

Nemo1977 · 10/09/2005 13:45

afternoon all
not a lot to say been out on a hunt for a raincoat and wellies for ds. Managed wellies but no raincoat. He slept in till 8am again today.although I woke up at about 5am and couldnt sleep due to pains in pelvis..sigh
hope you are all having a good weekend.

expatinscotland · 10/09/2005 16:51

Woke at 5.21AM choking on my own stomach acid. Nice. It actually winded me for a bit. Had to eat a handful of almonds and drink some water and finally got back to sleep about 6. Have really bad acid reflux again and am quite frightened b/c last time developed an oesophageal ulcer from it when they didn't take it seriously enough and spent a week in hospital as a result.

sweetheart · 10/09/2005 18:15

hello,

expat - that sounds horrible!! Are the almonds helping at all?

Perhaps of you go to the Dr's about it now they will take it seriously because of what happened last time.

Haven't done much today - been really tired so I had a little snooze this afternoon.

Whats everyone else been up to?

ninah · 10/09/2005 18:47

I just made and iced a cake in the shape of a 3. And ds was pestering me while I did it and I was horrid to him. Wish I'd gone and bought one instead. It looks and tastes vile and I am in a vile mood. Amother 40 balloons to blow up tonight plus do pasta salad for anywhere between 30 and 60. Apart from that it's all under control ... aaaaaah! It better not bloody rain!

bonkerz · 10/09/2005 19:50

well have spent the day doing as little as possible really. Had a snooze but not a sleep! Am ready to go out now and thankfully my top still fits!! Look really pregnant though cos its fitted round the boobs and flares out! Felt good doing my hair and make up though cos its been 20 weeks since i last got glammed up!
Night ladeeeessss

dramaqueen72 · 11/09/2005 09:49

morning ladies.
hate it when its quiet on here,....I notice I dont have a life then!
whos doing what today then? we are having a fairly quiet day, alittle shopping in town and a nice lunch, thats about all we have plannd, but somehow, when we dont plan anything, it gets busy and by the end of the day its usually been hetic!
belly bean was leaping about this morning, making my whole belly jump dh was impressed! I gave up snoozing and got up, me being upright and walking about tends to make the bean sleep and settle. do yours have an active time and quite time?

Nemo1977 · 11/09/2005 09:51

morning all
DQ hope you have a good day

not a lot going on here DH is in work, he did all the glossing in bedroom yesterday so next weekend he has a whole 5 days off so he is going to wallpaper..woo hoo then we just have to wait for the carpet to turn up. ooohhhh and ds did about 5 wees on the potty...

Today I have told ds we can make bob the builder cakes so he has been shaking the box at me all morning...sigh Also reallly need to do some ironing as I have no clothes to wear in a decent state..lol

have a good day

george32 · 11/09/2005 11:08

A quiet day here too. DP is making sunday roast & his mum & boyfriend are coming over. No doubt they will all get slowly sozzled whilst I have a snooze this afternoon.

Nemo, you sound so organized. I'm very . We did manage to take a load of junk to the tip yesterday though. It always makes me feel so much better.

Did you have a good night out Bonkerz?

Ninah, hope you are feeling a bit less stressed today. I'm sure the cake will be just fine they always taste nice in the end.

bonkerz · 11/09/2005 12:27

Hi girls, hope you all having a lazy sunday and NEMO have you eaten all the cakes yet?

My night out was good thanks. Started off quiet and just sat on confy sofa in pub till my mates had had a few drinks! Went to club and had a bit of a dance before my back stared aching and i managed to find a little bench area to sit! Got chatted up by a bloke! He was oblivious to my bump and wedding ring! Very amusing night really! After telling DH that i would be home by 11pm i rolled int he door at 2am! Did notice that i seemed to be the only pregnant lady out and although i sat for most of the night and was drinking J2O i did notice a few evils being dished out by other women! Could understand if i was drunk but i was just sat on a bench in a corner having an OJ!!! AM very tired today and baby has been very active this morning so am just off for a sleep! Then Dh will cook our dinner and that will be our day!

Nemo1977 · 11/09/2005 14:20

hello again all

bonkerz we have had one cake each although they are rather lovely...lol Have managed to do all my ironing and the cakes and ds is now happily playing. I am still not dressed but didnt see the point with hot n messy activities today. Will jump in shower when i put adam to bed then maybe have a quick snooze myself.

sweetheart · 11/09/2005 16:31

Hiya all.

Had a pretty uneventful day - been food shopping, done a mountain of washing, sorted through all dd's clothes.

We're off to my mum's in a bit - shes cooking us a lovely roast dinner - YUUMMMYYY!!!!!!

Glad to hear everyone is taking it easy this weekend.

expatinscotland · 11/09/2005 16:33

Waddled around an outdoor shopping centre a bit. Got DD a pair of wellies in NEXT, had a cuppa tea in Starbuck's at Borders, then a lie down w/DD went for her nap.

Oh, and used my skincare voucher in Boots.

ei23mummy · 11/09/2005 19:25

hi girls!!
iv been in the pub all afternoon! (drinkin blackcurrant and soda of course) dp did a sponsored walk from southport to walton near where we live so we were celebrating that!! hes knackered now! other than that iv done nowt else!

sweetheart · 11/09/2005 20:17

had a run in with my mum at dinner. She has been very judgemental recently about the way we bring up dd. Had an insident at dinner over dd not eating. Mum's reaction has really upset me and we ended up leaving because I was so angry with her.

This is the 3rd time recently she has upset me and I'm fed up with her constant judgements and insinuations that I am a bad parent.

It is also bringing to light just how much dd is allowed to get away with when my mum looks after her.

Nemo1977 · 11/09/2005 21:26

helloooooo

SH sorry about your mum hun, hopefully there was just too many hormones in the air????

We went to pil for tea and think we have finally reached a decision on names. sooooo
boys will be nathan james
girls elise [ellie] may

what do u think?

ei23mummy · 11/09/2005 23:12

sorry about your mum sh, dont take it to heart as im sure youre a brilliant mum for your dd- everyone has different views on how to raise kids and your mum needs to realise that its not her place to criticise your way of doing things-im expecting all of this to come in the near future for me aswell- dp's nan is very opinionated about me wanting to have a childminder part-time when i go back to uni after my mat leave. she wants to have the baby for us. its a nice offer but she was a big part in dp's upbringing and he was very very spoilt as a child- he still can be now!! i just dont want my child to grow up not appreciating things the way i did as a child- we were kinda poor!!-and demanding things the way my dp does sometimes. am i right in saying no to her? as its her first great-grandchild shes really excited and has already started to plan the holidays etc for when the baby is older!! its so frustrating as i know that my dp is all for letting her mind the baby all the time-i want to be able to give my child things and have the 'control' where its upbringing is concerned!!

dramaqueen72 · 11/09/2005 23:15

nemo, love both those, how lovely to be abit unusual but not really , iyswim! they are lovely names! woohoo! so do you have a gut feeling on which youre having?

s/h sorry about teh row. how awful its a horrible tricky situtation when grand parents look after your children not quite how you'd like. i went thro it when I worked with my mother, (and my sister is going thro it now with her and my nephew!) and I still go thro it when visiting, my parents or dh's. YOURE right tho, shes your daughter and people must respect how you wish to bring her up. stick to your guns girl! hope it smooths over/solves easily.

ugh tomorrow isnt a good day for me. dh has a really awful day of business ahead of him, in london, and -for some reason!- I offered to go with him. now seem to be roped into the business side of it too.....sigh. a stressful busy day instead of a day out I originally thought!
wish me luck guys.

dramaqueen72 · 11/09/2005 23:19

sorry ei, cross posted. I think youre right over this too. having family watch your baby/child is hard work and full of family politics and stress. I think you should get a 'outside of the family' carer for 90% of the time and maybe keep the peace by gran just doing one day, or just special treat/special occassions? the hard bit is of course, trying to say all that tactfully to your relatives! I wish you luck!

ei23mummy · 11/09/2005 23:28

thanx dq, iv tried to broach the subject with dp but he thinks it can wait and i feel like it should get sorted now to avoid any sticky situations once the baby is born- im a little impatient recently!!
are you havin a little bit of insomnia too dq?? i cant seem to sleep recently even if im really wiped out as soon as my head touches the pillow im wide awake again!! grr iv jus been sittin on my comp for about an hour tryin to wear my eyes out so i can avoid another 3:30 watch-the-clock night!!

ei23mummy · 11/09/2005 23:30

iv even cleaned the kitchen tonight to try and wear myself out- too much energy i think!!

george32 · 12/09/2005 08:47

Ei, I'm another one with an insomnia problem, 1.30am every morning I wake, then 3.00, then at around 4.00am I wake & that's about it for the night. Driving me crazy! Nemo, has your's resolved itself now because you were going through a dreadful time too weren't you?

Sorry about your row SH. It must be tricky when your mum looks after her sometimes as I guess she has her own way of doing things which conflict with yours. I know I would struggle if my mum tried to interfere.

DQ, I will be thinking of you today. Hope your journey to London goes OK.

Have to try to force some breakfast down now. The journey in by tube is getting worse. I feel sicker & sicker by the time I get here and I know the only thing that will make it better is to eat - urgh
Oh well, only 5 weeks to go for me here!!

Nemo1977 · 12/09/2005 08:57

aww george hope tube ride isnt too bad..insomnia is still there but not as bas as it is..more a case of waking up about 6 times and not being able to go back to sleep for about 15mins.

Ei its understandable u dont want dps nan looking after baby but what about a compromise say one day with child minder one with her or something?????????

Hope everyone has a good day I need to take parcels to post and go to bank but not a lot else..phew..lol Dhs parents are taking ds out for the day tommorow which is quite strange as no one in the 2 yrs we have had him has taken him for the day...i am actually quite nervous although sure he will be fine...lol

george32 · 12/09/2005 08:59

Oh, sorry Nemo, forgot to say, really like your names esp Ellie May.
