So sad that not everyone will be joining us on the new thread but here's looking to the future and hoping we start to see some lovely scans and good news from everyone in the next month

Hello all,

I'm afraid I also need to bow out of this group. Had my 12 week scan on Sunday and it seems our baby's heart stopped at around 9 weeks. Pretty devastating.

I wish the rest of you luck with your babies and hope it works out for you all.

My doppler is fantastic angels1 I use it every few days and it puts a smile on my face. You have to try very low down just above your pubic bone and it takes about 5 mins to locate it. Have fun with it!

erm, another doppler related query....how clear do you hear the heartbeat compared to the sort of static sound? Still no joy on baby heart beat. Went to find my heart beat in my chest to check it worked and the loudest I could get on my own heart beat was a faint beating noise....maybe I was looking for something a bit clearer from the baby when all I'll get is a faint noise with the static on top (I had volume on max). any experiences??

oh, and I've found hours of amuzement by laughing whilst trying to use my doppler. It makes the most hillarious noise!!!

I am glad to see that's it's not just me who thinks they can feel little kicks - I have had little inklings for a couple of weeks but not sure - it could be gas! I'm 15 1/2 weeks. Also feeling better, just nauseous occasionally but not in an overwhelming way just annoying. ALso been feeling really tired again, went on a lovely yoga retreat last weekend, very lucky, but may have overdone the exercise? I'm in east sussex btw. my keyboard is throwing letters all over the place - have a good weekend everybody xxx

Angels1 it may be dependant upon the type of doppler. I bought one like the midwives use whereas with my last pregnancy I had one where you just strap it on and listen and I could never find the heartbeat with that one. I find it is quite loud and clear when I need a wee but quieter when I haven't ate much.

very jealous of worrymummy on her yoga retreat. I've been thinking of buying the antenatal/postnatal davina mccall excercise dvd to try....ehy, I mist b feeling a bit better then as wouoldn't have been about to think about it a few weeks ago.... I'm getting depressingly fat (or at least I feel it). Put on an old big pair of PJs last night I haven't worn in ages as they got too big for me when I lost weight and find the chest and tummy area actually snug ....I remember wearing it and it looked obscenely too big for me it was funny...I wish I could blame it all or pregnancy bump but I guess this is what happens when I have to eat non stop for 2 months to help feeling sick.

linz mine is angel sounds (how could I resist with a name like that?!) and quite cheap. I'm just about totry again on a full nights bladder to see if it helps.

sorry about my insane spelling - I can spell but blame pregnancy. I've been unable to type properly since I found out I was pg - was very tricky to try to write my students' summer reports and I took twice as long as I found I was typing jumbled rubbish!

Morning, good luck with doppler angels. Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who helped out with my fibroid query (ah more joys of pregnancy!!!!). Off to work soon so trying to persuade 5 and 2 year olds to get out of pjs, swear they are morphing into teenagers already!!

Told my boss I was pregnant yesterday and I swear he was arsey with me, giving him the benefit of the doubt for the minute as he is young and might have been a bit scundered, but if he continues ignoring me he will feel the wrath of my pregnancy anger yes that delightful phase has started.

Hi everyone, im 14 week's and stated to feel little flutters last week but not much else since, anyione else?

Hi I don't know if some of you remember but I was on on the first feb 2011 thread for a while when the group started then experienced severe cramps and bleeding and got told my pregnancy was no longer viable... Well after weeks and weeks of confusion and going back and forth to hospital I finally got some positive news I have a baby with a hb and the bleeding and clotting that was around the baby and threatening almost certain miscarrage has began to clear and at 12 weeks scan I look to have a normal foetus!!! So I hope none of u mind if I rejoin the group?

Well I've been having a catch up over this thread and have seen that quite a few have had bad news which I am so sorry to hear about and my heart goes out to them :-( i feel bad that I'm here with such positive news when others hav suffered a loss, I only wish the news was so positive for everyone :-/

Will update my details asap but the hubby is currently hogging the laptop and it seems like 2 much of a task on my fone lol! So as soon as I get him off will update dates ect x

angels I've got an angel sounds and can hear baba's hb clearly. I do recall that I thought it didn't work when I first got it, changed the battery as a last option before returning it and hey presto haven't looked back since. Have you been using the proper gel, as that makes a difference too.

An update from me - a visit to the doc on Friday morning about my vomiting and feeling so rubbish turned up a UTI, so am on antibiotics now. I actually felt hungry at lunch time today for the first time this week too which was a relief. Back to feeling sick and gassy now - might manage some plain boiled rice in a bit, but not hungry again really, no room for food with the amount of wind in my stomach - I look about 6 months pregnant this afternoon.

SBF hope you're feeling better today. I will change the battery (excellent idea). Think I have another 9v one in the smoke alarm, so can do a swap, and I now have the proper gel too, but that hasn't made a diffeence. As soon as I put it on with any headphones before it even gets on my tummy I get a loud static noise, bit like I'm trying to find a radio station with the 'ssssssssswwwwwwww' inbetween stations which never stops. Is that normal or have I got a dodgy one?!
