Says it all really, one of my dearest friends, aged 40 yrs old, suffered a massive heart attack and died immediately. I am in total shock and can't really believe it, he wasn't ill , there was no warning. I am in bits about it .

Buda · 05/02/2008 16:51

Hos sad. My uncle died the same way. He was almost 40 and 3 months away from getting married. It is so totally shocking.

glitterfairy · 05/02/2008 16:53

Oh Mabs have just found out that a friend of mine died last night. He was only 35 married with a son and I was only talking to his wife about seeing him yesterday.

He had cancer so it is different but I am finding it so hard to believe. His son and my daughter went to school together and nursery.

I am trying to find the words to talk to his wife without breaking down myself. I saw this thread and just thought how unjust life is sometimes.

MABS · 05/02/2008 16:55

I am so very sorry Glitterfairy, as you say, its all so bloody unfair.

I cant imagine what a shock it must be for you Mabs.

MABS · 05/02/2008 17:47

You will cry when you don't expect to, and be numb at other times - just go with it Glitterfairy. Do you know when funeral will be?

glitterfairy · 07/02/2008 07:08

Take care of yourself. The funeral of my friend is on Tuesday next week

throckenholt · 07/02/2008 07:30

my dad died the same way age 42. The suddenness is weird. The consolation is you can be thankful there was no long drawn out illness - if you have to die it is a pretty good way to go.

MABS · 07/02/2008 19:05

You are so right, better suddenly, but v shocking for us left here. Wish funeral was nxt week tho
