Hi MNers,

Thanks for tipping me off about the message limit on my other thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/_chat/2725008-Would-any-MNers-be-able-to-help-tonight?pg=1&order=

I am stunned and unbelievably humbled to see that one little post I wrote sparked 1000 messages, and Im so appreciative of all you personal stories and jokes to cheer me up.

MN is offically amazing and you're all fantastic.

DM had a rough night, she apparently woke in the night with a bad headache which I think confirmed the disease has moved into her head (we expected this, apparently what's causing the paralysis often appears in the brain too). Still no appetite and sleeping all the time.

Sad

Hope everyone had a good night. I had yet more nightmares - theyre all about Mum and they all horrible. Shouty I is in fine voice this morning. Dad said he heard Shouty I bellowing to Shouty II to shut up the other day. Pot, meet kettle Hmm

Sweetness- you have done the biggest and best thing anyone could do. You honoured your mum in the most beautiful way. You lovely, lovely woman.

Flowers for you all

icklekid · 03/10/2016 07:33

lemon thanks for posting. I'm glad you were all there and am glad it was peaceful. You have been amazing throughout. Be gentle to yourself over the coming weeks and months. You are allowed to feel however you feel. There is no right or wrong with way to grieve. Rest and allow your dp to look after you. We are all here for the coming weeks and months but also the tough 'firsts' her birthday, your birthday, Christmas. Take care Flowers

She's at peace sweetheart. No more pain, no more drugs. Can just imagine her now, watching over you and looking after you, just as she always has and always will.

The sun has a new beam this morning xx

A good life is not ended but completed; a good soul has begun life everlasting

I've watched constantly but not posted before, mainly because I couldn't improve on the wonderful care you've had from all these fantastic people - truly Mumsnet at its best. I'm so very sorry for your loss, but also completely understand the feeling of relief now this trial is over for you all. I'm so glad your beloved mum had a gentle passing, and hope you'll take the greatest care of yourself, knowing you've been the perfect daughter of whom she'll always be utterly proud

Hi lemon. You have done such an amazing thing looking after your mum, and you should take great comfort in knowing that you surrounded her with such love and care, even when it was so hard for you.
Be good to yourself now- rest, breathe. The landscape you find yourself in now may seem very alien indeed. We are all here to stay and pray with you for as long as you need. Flowers

So sorry for your loss Flowers

maybethedayafter · 03/10/2016 11:16

So sorry Lemon. It's a small consolation but you can always hold in your heart that you were all there and the moment your mum slipped away she felt incredibly loved. Your smile was most likely the most perfect thing for her to see to let her know it's okay to go. I'm glad you have your brother and your dad and they have you. Don't expect anything of yourself, just feel how you feel and take everything a moment at a time.Flowers

Florathefern · 03/10/2016 11:34

So sorry Lemon. You were there right at the end smiling at her. How lovely for your mum.

Death ends a life, not a relationship. xx
