TERRIBLE NEWS FROM YORKIEGIRL

tillykins · 10/08/2006 03:25

Yorkiegirl has phoned me from holiday in Portugal; her husband Nigel has collapsed and died tonight.
She thinks it was a stroke or heart attack.
The authorities are trying to get hold of her parents - they are also in Portugal
Fortunately, neither of her DDs saw anything
I don't know much more than that but will post if I have anything else

What a terrible shock for the family, and how sad
please let us know if there's anything we can do to help

Pudmog · 10/08/2006 08:27

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your dd's.

My father died in similar circumstances (sudden heart attack) 10 years ago.

I was incredibly calm for months, mainly because I was too busy looking after my mother.

I really hope that (while focussing on helping the girls through their grief) Yorkie is able to take time for her own grief sooner rather than later - keeping calm does take its toll.

biglips · 10/08/2006 08:28
