everything hurts, I cant close my eyes without seeing it happening
he collapsed at home
I did chest compressions till the ambulance came
they tried for ages but he was gone
I cant stop seeing it
my arms hurt, my heart hurts
I'm exhausted
I cant do this again

Trinity, I'm so sorry....

I held my father in my arms as he died six years ago. I struggled terribly with such dark, desperate images of that night... Seeing the panic in his eyes as he drifted away... I was terrified of the images and they truly haunted me... But, not for long.... They faded, quicker than I thought they would. I felt so alone, so wretched and so very 'desperate'... That's the only words I can use to describe how I felt.

I feel nothing but the deepest love for my lovely Dad when I think of that night now.. All the panic, desperation feelings have completely gone, they faded over a few months. I am so honoured I was there for him, to hold him when he went.

The images you have will fade Trinity... x
