2 of my friends have just called their babies the same as one of your DSs Califrau

and I haven't forgotten his coins - they'll be on their way v.soon. just being crap and new baby bound here, although as he's 8 weeks now the excuse is starting to wear thin...

Hi Us [waves] - still not sleeping then?

MrsJohnCusack · 04/05/2007 06:48

Big, Califrau
such a lovely name. except the 2 are very good friends and the boys are only 9 weeks apart or so in age. the second one has used DS's name as a middle name too, and the first used the name we nearly called DS. You'd think we could come up with a wider selection!
really will get onto those coins. have them here, just need to sort my life out.

BTW MamanFlo, my new DS is Henry. LOVE it, so pleased with the name

yogimum · 04/05/2007 07:40

Im so glad we called our ds Henry, everybody loves it.

Comerscroft · 04/05/2007 07:44

Born and bred north of the border.........

Alexander (Sandy) David Grant
Andrew Stuart Donald

DD is Margaret Heather Mhairi (DH wanted Andrewina but I vetoed that!)

LittleEgg · 04/05/2007 07:47

My old boss was French and had boys Thomas and Louis. Both good in England and France. And VERY handsome lads too.

My DS is Benjamin. Which is of course the best boy's name going... .

NuttyMuffins · 04/05/2007 07:49

ds1 Hugo, ds2 Elliot, ds3 Theodore.

ds1 was stillborn however, so you aren't allowed to use hugo. it's the law... unless your baby is as gorgeous as H was.

LittleEgg · 04/05/2007 12:56

Katyp - for the loss of Hugo. It is a beautiful name, and perfect for French as well and English speakers.

LittleEgg · 04/05/2007 12:58

Sorry kateyp

I have Noah Jack George and Elijah Samuel. Knew a French lady with twins who were Noah and Oliver - because she too needed the bilingual possibility!

Tutter · 04/05/2007 13:05

seth would be a nightmare for the french

when i was feeling sadistic i used to get the french kids i taught to say 'thistle'

nigh on impossible for them - comes out either 'sissle' or 'thithle'

(but then my 'la rue' was always v dodgy)

maisemor · 04/05/2007 13:10

Son is called Ivan (family name).

I wanted him to be called Oliver, (my hubby hates that name).

We also both liked Otis.

pinkrangerstartstowaddle · 04/05/2007 13:12

i have a Ben and am also expecting a boy, we think he will be called Tate.

NoodleStroodle · 04/05/2007 13:13

Ds is Oscar - don't know what happens to that in French

Tutter · 04/05/2007 13:13

btw mamanflo, am i right in thinking that 'le benjamin' in french = the youngest?
