what do we think? it's the name of Wayne and Coleen Rooneys newly born son.

ciforjif, we take this piss because they allow us to! THey get paid shit loads of money to be taken the piss out of. If I was worth a few million you could start a thread about my DDs names and rip them to shreds all day long, I really wouldn't care less as I would be out by Kai-Wayne his Dior dummy.

As has been said, Wayne is a middle name, not one that will be used with his first name all the time. He'll just be Kai. And giving a parent or grandparent's name as the middle name is, again, pretty common. Wayne is out of fashion as a middle name at the moment, but its time'll probably come again. Look at all the other old-fashioned names that, if you had asked people 15 years ago, they'd have laughed to think a baby would be given.

'Kyrooney' is a word I can imagine Milo from the Tweenies saying for some reason.

I have never really liked the name Kai, actually prefer the name Wayne tbh. The two together are awful.

Kai is OK but should have left Wayne off. Still, alot better than Romeo, Brooklyn etc.

I actually like Kai. I know a lovely German one.

And I also think its ok to use dad's name as his middle name (it just so happens that Kai Wayne don't sound great together), and the two names probably won't be used much together. He'll just be Kai Rooney - I like that.

How old is 'Wayne's dad also called Wayne'? I always thought Wayne came in with the Osmonds. Oh God maybe it did and I'm just really really old and Kai's grandad was born in the 70s....

Well guy's i love the name KAI, as my little beautiful special needs boy is called kai. And he is the best looking kai i have ever seen.

My sister's dog is called Kai. Apparently it means dog in cornish

When I saw the name(s)- they did make me giggle. There's something so incongruous about Kai and Wayne together.

Personally, I dislike Kai. It wanders a bit close to 'Keanu' territory for me.
