Is it? Why Wednesday? Adams family?

Podrick · 09/12/2008 17:42

Is it an Adams Family name?

MrsMattie · 09/12/2008 17:42

haha [lol].

Helsbels4 · 09/12/2008 17:45

Each to their own I could understand it more if she were born on a Wednesday but hey ho! I don't get calling girls summer when they're born in winter and the like but it wouldn't do for us all to be the same.

MadameCastafiore · 09/12/2008 17:46

Glad you love it - I think it is pretty awful really but if we were all the same the world would be (well perfect if you were all the same as me ) a boring place.

bronze · 09/12/2008 17:47

I agree Helsbels but then looking at the child in five years you would never know what day it was born on anyway. I guess people will just assume she was born on a Wednesday.

Why name her that, if she wasn't born on Wednesday? Just wondering ...

tenacityflux · 09/12/2008 18:24

Because I went into labor on a wednesday and thought, here she comes...and gave birth on a Saturday! And also Wednesday Addams, as a girl I loved the original cartoons and read them avidly; Wednesday Addams is tough, clever, independent and not a girlie girl but still pretty - she does science and maths and history and reads great books and is anti-disney and convention - so I think she's a great role model! (But she is going to be called daisy for short!)

do you know what?

It is actually a brilliant name

I do actually like it

It would suit dd1

PersephoneSnape · 09/12/2008 18:40

my ds (9) is obsessed with the adams family and would be totally in awe of your dd.

cool name, good choice, i love it.

greenday · 09/12/2008 22:12

Now that you have given us more background info, I actually like your choice of name. I agree with you about Wednesday Addams as well. Just hope your Wednesday doesn't try to set her school on fire (for some reason, that scene from the movie on school Thanksgiving Day came to mind!)
Good on you!

NowICanSpellGeansaiNollaig · 09/12/2008 22:52

I quite like it. I think the only day that doesn't work as a name is Saturday. JMO. I do think days as names are going to be on the up. Not just because of Nicold Kidman.

hellish · 10/12/2008 02:00

I wanted it for my dd but everybody laughed and said no no. Well done for being braver than me, I love it too.

NewKnickersFromSantaOnMaHead · 10/12/2008 02:06

Horrible name but your choice. Good on you for having the balls to use it.

ninedragons · 10/12/2008 04:26

I like it. It's distinctive and a bit off-the-wall without being utterly stupid.

shivermetinsel · 10/12/2008 09:07

Fantastic name wish i had thought of that for dd.(family of owls supporters btw)

ScummyMummy · 10/12/2008 09:08

I think it's cool.

Lizzylou · 10/12/2008 09:10

I really like it, good for you.

Boco · 10/12/2008 09:13

I like it, it's a great name.

PuzzYuleLogs · 10/12/2008 09:15

Good for you.
I rather like my own name which was derided on here as "trailer trash" not so long ago.

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 10/12/2008 09:16

There's no way we could have that our surname is Adams.
