...brothers Thomas and George, also have a strong boys name as a surname that begins with O, so we have to be careful with initials.

I am looking for something different to Max and Jack, but as nice as them, maybe a little bit wacky but not too much, and deffo not poncey (I am a Southerner in the North West, I have to be careful with my accent) We have been through countless name books/websites and not hit on the one yet, so it's over to you lot!

To give an idea, my favourites are Seth, Seb(astian), Albert (Albie), DH likes Charlie and Harrison, neither of us like each others (Well to be fair, I love Harrison, but I don't like 'Arrison, which is what it becomes up here!)

Charlie, Josh, Tristan, Archie?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/12/2008 16:02

They become 'Enry and 'Arry though, it grates on me.

Should probably say as well that since we have been through so many books and websites, most of the names suggested will probably have already been discussed so it may seem like I am taking no notice, I am, I am sure one of you will come up with something we haven't considered, you have to, else this baby will never have a name!

I am going to second Edward. I think it goes with the boys names.

FattipuffsandThinnifers · 02/12/2008 16:03

Alfie, William?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/12/2008 16:03

Edward - I love it, especially shortened to Ned, DH hates it.

Josh, DH says nope.

Not keen on Tristan or Archie with surname.

James and surname equals a famous somebody that I don't fancy naming our DS3 after!

Tell me about it, he says Ned sounds like nerd, but he likes Ted. But if Ned sounds like nerd, doesn't Ted sound like turd?

Not that I get the Ned/nerd thing in the first pleace.

Keep 'em coming, am not going to let this thread die till you've found us something!

Ned is slang for Chav in some parts

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 02/12/2008 16:10

Yes have heard the chav/donkey thing, it wouldn't bother me but since DH says no, it doesn't matter anyway!

Ollie Oliver, why didn't I think of that?!

Ted is nice, but it isn't right.

These suggestions are all a bit erm.... normal, I want something a bit more out there without being too out there...

Don't roll your eyes at me, I am pregnant, I am allowed to be difficult!
