I have a VERY unusual name. In fact its so unusual that if I told you and you googled it the only thing that would come up would be my Facebook profile (I tried it......so as I may need to post incognito one day I can't tell you.

Anyway despite not being paricularly thrilled with my name when I was a teenager, I love it now and would love to name forthcoming DC's with something unusual.

What are the most unusual names you have heard of for both sexes???

We have a few Spikes here- not unusual, nor Montys and I have met three Rollos lately that is very old fashioned isn't it?

Oh and nearly forgot I was introduced to a very smug yummy mummy who told me her son was called Ché and expected a huge reaction from me. I just went oh is he named after anyone in your family and she very brusquely said no and wen to find little Evita.

That last name was a fib but Che wasn't.

Braxton is actually a twin - his sister is named Tayla. His Mum told me that she had never heard of braxton hicks until afterwards when people told her what they were.

I have two relatives called Ahkarsha and Zynitah (both girls).

Also, I've been doing a lot of research into my family tree, and we had several boys called Ozias earlier in the family. It's very unusual now, but I quite like it.

squeaver · 17/11/2008 14:06

Have mentioned these names before but kind of really like them although I don't think I'd be brave enough!
(Although my ds does have an unusual name)

Brothers;

Box - boy
Scooter - boy

Both boys are beautiful, shoulder length black hair, sons of a record producer...

squeaver · 17/11/2008 15:14

Zebedee (all together now - boing!)

Dietcokefiend · 17/11/2008 15:56

I'm sort of getting Box, its quite cool, but you can imagine all the square jokes later down the track. Scooter is just...mad.

TheMuppetMuggle · 17/11/2008 15:57

Zebedee is cool - i'd use that
