I have a VERY unusual name. In fact its so unusual that if I told you and you googled it the only thing that would come up would be my Facebook profile (I tried it......so as I may need to post incognito one day I can't tell you.

Anyway despite not being paricularly thrilled with my name when I was a teenager, I love it now and would love to name forthcoming DC's with something unusual.

What are the most unusual names you have heard of for both sexes???

I was going to post the name of a relative of mine, but googled it first (phew) and the only hits are for that person. That branch of the family specialises in unusual names, but I can't share any of them as it would be too identifiable

My cousins were called Primo and Segundo (first and second) Very silly names, it's not like they were on their 17th and 18th children and had run out of names they liked!

I think I've said before that this summer I met a boy called Glint and a girl called Toulouse. And I know that's how they were spelled because I saw both names on a printed list.

Boy - Ozymandias

Girl - Blessing (but this was a Nigerian family and it's not so unusual a name in Nigeria)

Both utterly fab names!

LOL at Braxton, why name your child after an uncomfortable spasm? Was his middle name Hicks?

Last week I heard the name AXELLA (girl's name). Which I have to say, I wasn't keen on.

Other ones:
Fame (girl)
Merlin (boy)- although this doesn't seem weird to me anymore.
Spike (boy)
Buster(boy)
