@PollyD123 it's not the most unusual name I've heard, not one I'd pick but there are lots of different names out there these days so after a while people would probably get used to it. However, as others have pointed out people may skip to the association with Peaches Geldof who had a very troubled life - you've noted associations with specific names so you know this is a possibility. The fact people didn't personally know her won't matter.
In a perfect world kids wouldn't bully and be mean, but unfortunately it is human nature and impossible to totally eradicate - the name Peach may give cause for teasing, as whether you agree or not, there is a connotation with bums. That's not an opinion, fairly factual with evidence on this thread! I think this is where people are saying "poor child" - no one is saying it's neglect as you've taken it to mean, people use the term when something related to a child could have been avoided - for example given a bowl cut! People would probably say "poor child". Take it in the vein it's meant, it's a common phrase and isn't used in the way you're taking it.
For what it's worth, and you haven't asked, but I've read the whole thread and I don't see any viciousness, only opinions with reasoning behind them. Whether you agree or not, people will judge and most likely offer their opinion to you, I'd work on not taking it personally/ too much to heart. You'll need to with a name like Peach.
You don't seem to agree but I've read your responses to be just as strong as the ones you've taken offence to, so although you think people aren't managing their words, perhaps consider you're doing the same.
Best of luck with the pregnancy and whatever name you decide. I like the idea of you trying it out yourself for a little bit to see how you find it
