because our names begin with A and B - and then entirely unintentionally, we called DS a name beginning with C.

Front runners are Dorothy and Dorothea at the moment.

What do you think?

Davina- my sister is called davina and I was always wishing I had been born first so I could have got a cool name like that!

I also like Daisy but it kind of reminds me of that chubby lady married to Onslo in Keeping up Appearences!

I like Dilly

'D' names are actually really nice for girls. I hadn't realised until I read this thread. I love the name Dorothy, by the way.

There is also 'Devica' - Sanskrit for 'derived from God', I think.

I love Daisy, Dahlia or Delphine.

Thank you all so much for your suggestions.

We have narrowed it down to Dorothy / Dorothea and Chloe (which would make us ABCC). What do you think?

Does anyone know anyone actually called 'Dorothea'. How is it pronounced?

I would pronounce it doro-thea.

I still love Delphine and Dahlia the best though
