Cool but traditional not overused boys name needed!!

We are stuck trying to name our second son. Our first is Oliver, a name which we liked due to the flowy sound and the olive tree (and peace) connections. He is anything but peace loving in reality 😂. Unfortunately two years later this name became highly popular for a while and he had three in his class so we are hoping to choose something this time which doesn't go to the top of the list! I like traditional names that don't sound made up but have a cool edge or nickname. I like European/Mediterranean names but dislike anything that sounds very American. Surname is two syllables and starts with a P. Also looking for two middle names that flow nicely with the first name as our first son has two family middle names. No pressure! 😅

Does any one have any we might not have thought of?

So far on our list we have:

Issac
Elliot
Alexander
Sebastian
Lawrence
Rowan
Felix
Leo
Jude

Not feeling definite about any of these as we did with Oliver! 🫤

Any ideas welcome! Thank yoooooou! 😄

Have you seen the top 100 boys names for this year? Leo is in fifth place, even ahead of Oliver, so I’d avoid it if you don’t want something overused. I’d also avoid Felix, Elliot and possibly even Jude, as I’ve heard of loads recently.

Peter! That’s such a nice name.
I don’t hear many Bens.

I don’t think I’d class Rowan, Felix, Leo as traditional, they’re more recently trendy than that.

Oliver and Alex work well.

From your list Alexander lots of cool nn potential.
I work in a school and would strike Elliot, Jude & Leo from your list due to popularity.

I really like Roman but it didn’t work with our surname. Don’t hear it as often as Roman. I also like Silas and Tristan but names are so personal.

Mungo makes me think of St Mungos or the giant gingerbread man from Shrek lol. Arlo has a film I think ..I'll put it on the dog's name list along with Milo for when we get a dog. I like Alistair and the nickname Ali but can't help thinking of certain politicians 🫤

We might have the same surname! DS1 is also Oliver. For DC2 we liked Benjamin, Issac and Reuben. Which was all a but biblical but for family reason we were trying to avoid kings! Ended up with DD so didn’t use them.

I like Robin! Although Rob seems quite common and as a child of the 80s I know a lot of Robins!

@Fivemoreminutes1 that's a very good point! Will check the list again.

Sidney's too old. Like Dominic and it goes well with our surname. Had discounted it because I didn't like the nickname 'Dom'. But I like Nico.. I've never heard of it being used with that name though so is it too much of a stretch? Also can't help but think Dominic Lawson which is off putting 😵‍💫 I like Miles but Milo will always be a dog's name for me so wouldn't shorten it. Gideon makes me think of bibles. I like Jonah and the dove meaning but sounds quite America..Jonah Hill? and also I think 'being a bit of a Jonah' means being negative and bringing bad luck?! Xander would use as nickname for Alexander whcuh I already have. Percy is too stuffy and also too alliterative with our surname!
