Venus, Story, Ember or Apricot?

Venus, Story, Ember or Apricot?
I've narrowed my name list down to these.
I want something a little different to the top 20 names if possible.
Middle name would be Jean.
Which is your favourite in order please or what do you think?

I though ember was like Emma and then got to Emerald, hence the list.

I know an Ember. It really isn’t that out there.

My second daughter's middle name is Apricot. I loved the name as soon as I thought of it, but my partner wanted another name and we agreed to use Apricot as a middle name. To this day I still wish I'd used it as her first name. She's 6 years old and I love the name so much. If you love it, go for it. It's your child. I do like the rule of having a fairly 'normal' name for either first or second though, just in case they hate their unique name and want to use a more mainstream one!

Wow, I am feeling greatly attacked by all these negative comments as my name is actually Apricott. I just want to clear the record and say that I LOVE my name, and always have. I am special in a world full of normal and my name just makes me sparkle a little more 😁

I am so sorry for the responses you got. People are quick to demonize names that don't fit the status quo despite the fact that even the most common names today used to be considered anomalies at some point in time and you can find common names that are just like the ones you chose. Amber sounds like Ember, Destiny is in the top 400 and a Story is just a tale of somebody's destiny, Diana is a roman goddess just like Venus, and Hazel is just a shortened version of hazelnut tree. Your names are not horrible, just ignore the haters.

Out of the names you picked, I would say that Ember Jean is my favorite combination with Story Jean being a close second. Apricot feels too long to fit with Jean and Venus doesn't click with it either in my opinion.

Don't let people bully you into changing your daughter's name because they're close-minded. All that's going to do is make you bitter and regretful. Congratulations on your baby and good luck!

If someone introduced themselves to me as Story I would think I've misheard them and would end up asking them to repeat themselves making it awkward for all involved 😂. Ember is ok x

Me and my siblings have uncommon names and I love it! Also, I feel our children will go to school with other children with more uncommon names as they grow up. I've seen people call their children Thor, Ocean, Rocket and so on.

I love Story, not a fan of Apricot but do like Cherry as an alternative.

Some more uncommon names include

• Cove which can be shorten to Coco which is adorable

-Saylor/ Sailor

Name them what you like as they're your child and you could name them a common name like Kate and they hate that anyway! All names are a gamble

I think Story Jean is lovely, plus Cherry is my favourite name atm.

The others are fine, IMO. Not what I would choose personally, but no more out there than lots of other popular names.

Apricot is an awful name. Story is just random.

How about Amber instead of Ember?
