Please help! Had a name picked out for a few weeks (baby is due next month!) but finding girl names really hard and having a middle of the night wobble and Google of other options.

Which is nicest?

Alice
Bryony
Eliza/Elizabeth?
Emily

Alice was the front runner- not sure why having a wobble!

Alice is lovely, as is Bryony.

haggisandmarsbar · 28/02/2021 03:27

Alice if you don't mind her not being the only one, it's getting more popular. Bryony if you want something unusual.

Pinkchicken85 · 28/02/2021 03:33

Alice

CoffeeBeansGalore · 28/02/2021 03:34

Bryony is lovely

MaverickDanger · 28/02/2021 03:35

Bryony.

I feel like every other name I read on here is Alice.

DramaAlpaca · 28/02/2021 03:42

Alice is wonderful. If you both love it, look no further.

ladygindiva · 28/02/2021 03:44

All your choices are lovely. Please choose Elizabeth not Eliza though. It's awesome. Elizabeth is the full name and can be legitimately shortened to Eliza, just being Eliza is more limiting. The full name has so many options. It's my name and I love it.

LoveFall · 28/02/2021 03:49

I vote for Elizabeth.

leggingsandwellies · 28/02/2021 03:57

Thanks all for your votes so far!

I should probably mention that the reason why Elizabeth/Eliza wasn't a serious contender up until now is because my DS also has a very very high profile royal name and not sure it would be a bit weird to have both?

HappyAsASandboy · 28/02/2021 04:07

I love Elizabeth.

If your DS is Philip or Charles then I'd avoid it, but any other royal name would be fine I think.

WelliesWithHeels · 28/02/2021 04:07

Could you do Bryony Elizabeth? All the names you like are nice, though!

Mrsrightagain · 28/02/2021 05:11

Brianna is lovely. I know it's not one of your choices but thought I would mention it anyway 😀

MsTSwift · 28/02/2021 05:27

All nice though I prefer Eliza and Bryony as Alice and Emily are over used where I live so am bored of them

zen1 · 28/02/2021 05:30

I like Eliza

ChameleonClara · 28/02/2021 05:33

Bryony is very nice, I also like Eliza.

If you choose Elizabeth and your other child has a royal name, I might idly wonder if you also collect royal memorabilia. But that doesn't really matter if you love the names. Think Eliza is nicer than Elizabeth as a name personally.

Quercus3 · 28/02/2021 07:30

I don't think you can go wrong, all lovely 😊 there are a lot of Emily's around here so I might avoid that but other than that a great list. Alice is wonderful!

DinosaurDiana · 28/02/2021 07:33

Emily then Eliza.

CabernetSoWhat · 28/02/2021 07:33

Alice

mildlymiffed · 28/02/2021 07:34

Bryony is really lovely!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/02/2021 07:40

Bryony.

MuddleMoo · 28/02/2021 07:54

Alice

Bluntness100 · 28/02/2021 07:56

Bryony for me

If your other child is a high profile royal name it’s better not to have both else it’s kinda weird.

LadyWithLapdog · 28/02/2021 08:00

All are lovely. I prefer Elizabeth but you won’t go wrong with any of them. (I think the mouth shape in saying Bryony is unflattering but the name itself is nice.)

londonmummy1234 · 28/02/2021 08:11

Unless DS is Charles or Philip I would do Elizabeth. Second choice Alice :)

Losingtheplot2021 · 28/02/2021 08:14

Like them all except Bryony
