Last minute name wobble!- please vote!

Please help! Had a name picked out for a few weeks (baby is due next month!) but finding girl names really hard and having a middle of the night wobble and Google of other options.

Which is nicest?

Alice
Bryony
Eliza/Elizabeth?
Emily

Alice was the front runner- not sure why having a wobble!

Alice is very nice but very pop, Emily same
If you want a non top 10 name go for Bryony
My personal favourite is Elizabeth nn Eliza

Your choice is not “last minute” at all!

Baby isn’t due for a bit and you will have time afterwards when you meet them to decide on the right name before you need to register the birth. You are choosing a name to last the next 80 to 90 years. No need to feel pressured or to rush.

All your current favourites are lovely names, so I have no doubt you will make the right decision.

I just love the name Alice

Bryony. I love it and know a lovely 18 year old one

Briony is lovely and unusual these days.

I can't stand Alice, just makes me think of Lice tbh .

I personally prefer Bryony as I have a sweet spot for the nn Bree. I do see the other names you mentioned being frequently referred to here on MN and used a lot in RL too, not sure if that would be an issue for you? Good luck :)

Alice is lovely - timeless

Elizabeth. The rest are nice but Elizabeth is beautiful and such a classic.

I’m afraid I don’t like any of them but what I have learnt is that other people’s opinions really don’t matter here as they can be tainted by their own likes, experiences of people with that name etc.

You will figure out which one is right for you.

In order:

1. Alice
2. Elizabeth
3. Emily - ok but a bit wet sounding
4. Eliza - prefer Elizabeth

Bryony is lovely and not over used. Alice is pretty too

Alice is really one of my favourite names, but then I didn't use a couple of my favs as they ahd become very popular at the time I had my dc.

I love Bryony. Haven't heard it in ages and read it and sort of sat up and went Oh. Nice!

Emily - too many of them around.

Elizabeth, great classic, hundreds of nn if you want them.

But I woudl call her Bryony Alice

I love Emily, it's popular but wouldn't put me off.
If it does though then Bryony is equally pretty and not quite so popular.

My vote would definitely be Emily. Beautiful name!

Eliza. I wouldn’t use Elizabeth though - Eliza is lovely on its own.

Maybe wait until she’s here and then see who you think she is. I knew my DD1 wasn’t the name I had picked out for her, but DD2 was the name I had originally for DD1!
