Stan or Percy

We both like both names but I prefer Percy. Dh also likes Arthur but I know a few adult ones and it’s puts me off.

Am open to suggestions for names you think I’d like, this is my 7th baby!

All have traditional/old fashioned names and oldest two are in top ten, two are less common and two are names that aren’t common at all but are still proper names.

Dh says my name style is 1920s peaky blinder style names I can see what he means, old fashioned working class kind of names.

I love Percy.
If names like Edith are back en vogue, why not Percy?

@kiki22 it’s a forum specifically encouraging people to post views on baby names - you’re going to risk seeing negative views about names you like if you’re here.

OP I’m 34 & from Sussex & have definitely always known the Percy / penis reference. That said - I can’t remember hearing it in years & years. You’d be better off asking a teenage if they’d heard of it - I’d actually guess probably not. Percy Pig is a far more likely association for young people.

I don’t really like either Percy or Stan but don’t massively hate them either.
