Hiya,

What's your thoughts on the name Jett for a boy? Would you automatically think Jet Li?

thanks :)

I like it. No i wouldn't think of jet li - when my 18 year old was born the film Erin Brochovich was out that year & it was massive... we incidentally called her Erin but it was nothing to do with the film. I have had one comment asking if it was the film that triggered the name -so I wouldn't worry about it! I don't think she even knows the film...

Frith2013 · 07/08/2019 19:17

Petrol station or harrier?

Pipandmum · 07/08/2019 19:17

I know a Jet. Nice!

Medievalist · 07/08/2019 19:17

No, I'd think of my black Labrador ...

ChelseaCat · 07/08/2019 19:18

I thought of Katie Price 😬😬😬

itsabootyhole · 07/08/2019 19:18

I like it. Katie prices son is named jett.

Undies1990 · 07/08/2019 19:19

I love the name!

Tifsy87 · 07/08/2019 19:28

I've loved it for a long time, George Lucas' son is called Jett, which is a cool link to Star Wars for us. We are big nerds :D

Nice name for a dog, not keen for a child. My first thought was Jet from the 90s show Gladiators

AvengerDanvers95 · 07/08/2019 19:31

Seeing it written down, it reminds me of John Travolta's son who died. If I heard it out loud I would think of Jet the (female) Gladiator from the 90s tv show. So it would be a no from me.

Bookworm4 · 07/08/2019 19:32

Jet Ski? No, don’t do that to your child, it’s not nerdy it’s twatty

percheron67 · 07/08/2019 19:32

Dicey if your surname is engine ………………………...

barryfromclareisfit · 07/08/2019 19:32

Embarrassing.

llangennith · 07/08/2019 19:33

My DD's father in law is Jet, short for Jethro. I like it.

Medievalist · 07/08/2019 19:36

A kind of plane not a name. If you are choosing a young man for a graduate training scheme, equal grades, do you pick Jett or William? I'm being serious, it's a cutthroat world out there and some "names" say tacky others say intelligence, especially for customer facing roles

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue · 07/08/2019 19:40

I thought of Katie Price. And Gladiators.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 07/08/2019 19:42

Alan Partridge dancing round his hotel room singing 'Jet' to the tune of the Gladiators song.

LiGlitterBug · 07/08/2019 19:42

Joan Jett or a horse at my old riding school.

SallyWD · 07/08/2019 19:43

Katie Price called her son Jett and its very Jordan in my opinion... Sorry.

Tifsy87 · 07/08/2019 19:45

My other half is a high flyer in London & you should hear the names of his colleges... Only an idiot would pass someone up with an amazing resume because of a name :')
