Thoughts on the name Jett?

What's your thoughts on the name Jett for a boy? Would you automatically think Jet Li?

Can only think Katie Price....

Can't say I've heard it except for an ex member of the Shadows back in the dark ages. It sounds like a made up name.

I absolutely love it.

I think of my neighbour, who was Jet as an abbreviation of Jeanette. Obviously not a boy!

There's a jet I'm my kids class, I quite like it. We've also got a jethro which I love.

But you clearly don't give a shit about what other people fit unless they're in your intellectual strata so why doesn't your husband ask his work mates 🤷‍♀️

I knew a Jet who had an "interesting" surname to go with it, not engine but it was that league. It can't be easy going through life where the first impression that people get is that the name is a novelty and wondering if the parents deliberately put the combination together.

Lovely kid and had the personality to carry it off, but it would easily have fallen flat.

I’m perfectly aware of who George Lucas is, and I love Star Wars. I still think Jett is a bit of a shit name though. I’m not sure why you’re asking if you’re so set on it?

I had no idea of the names of Katie Price’s children and my film tastes are far too highbrow to think of Jet Li, thanks... 😉

Gladiators was my first thought, swiftly followed by West Side Story. If he comes out able to click his fingers, it’s a sign.

I think it's a cool name but that maybe you need to be quite a cool family to pull it off?

I would think it's a name given by parents who want their son to be a real "lad". It's quite stereotypically macho. Jett's sister would be called something like Lola- Belle or Mimi-Mae

I’ve now got John Denver’s song looped in my brain! I like the name but think of his song.

I think he'd be "On time. Every time". (Superwings).

There's a good song by John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett called, "Jet Spotter of the Track (Racing Cars)". I think of that - and Jet Harris of course but most of you won't have heard of him.
