ANOTHER baby names thread - DH says he will abide by majority view

DH and I both have our fav names chosen. We like each other's choices but like our own more. We cannot decide whose choice to go with. If there is a clear majority for one of the names below DH says we should go with the majority.

So which do you prefer:

For a girl:
Anna
Matilda

For a boy:
Reuben
Samuel

reuben is beautiful and unlike samuel he won't find himself known as sam b or whatever the surname initial is like the 3 sam's in my son's preschool were and the williams too! i think biblical is the way to go for boys - though i went biblical then shakespeare.
girls names are both lovely - i think anna crosses generations where as matilda is popular now, not that that stops it being lovely.

Thanks everyone so far. Keep opinions coming it. We have to make sure we get this right!

A quick tally of the results so far shows:

Anna 14
Matilda 9

Reuben 11
Samuel 13

Someone asked which my choice was. My favs are Anna and Reuben. DH is Matilda and Samuel. I do like them all though.

Anna and Samuel, though all four are lovely IMO

I'd wait till BabyTulkighorn is born and see which they look like - two of each isn't too many.

(NB Tilly Tulkinghorn may be a bit much )

how strange!

DD2 is Called Annalise (Anna for short) and if she'd been a boy she'd have been Reuben!

so thats the way my votes goes

Another one for Anna and Samuel (which would be quite fair, too, as you'd each have a chance of one of your choices)

I like all of them.
I am no help.
I think Matilda is becoming very popular in the way that Max or Oscar were a couple of years ago - seems to be the name of the moment.
