Any Formula 1 fans out there? Boy names....

Title says it all really! My other half comes from a family obsessed with formula 1...he was named after Senna and there's a couple more F1 names in his close relatives.

I'd love to carry on the tradition but don't know if it just sounds absurd. I love the idea of Jenson, but is that too much? With a father named Ayrton? 😂

His favourite driver is Kimi Raikkonen...I'm still not convinced by Kimi as a boys name! His argument is it's a very common boys name in Finland. My point...IN FINLAND.

Guess I'm just asking for F1 names that maybe aren't as obvious but still niche? Asking the earth, I know. Any ideas welcome!

Kimi is awful for a boy in the UK, I agree with you.

Jenson is ok I suppose. A little bit of a naughty boy name but miles better than Kimi.

Jenson is absolutely fine. I always thought Stirling Moss was an amazing name but not sure I would use Stirling myself.

All lovely names. Does it need to be “niche” just for the sake of it? With a more usual name which is in honour of F1 you still give a nod to the family tradition without burdening the dc with something he mightn’t even be into... what if he only likes football and you’ve called him Kimi just to make a point?

Nico or Max are good as they’re not too fan boy-ish. But are still linked to F1.

@Felton exactly! It doesn't help that in my regional accent it sounds bloody awful. Jenson is my favourite driver behind Danny Ric and I love the name but it's just not clicking as much as I'd like. Seems like a 'naughty boy' name.

I love Sebastian, both as a name and the Vettel one!

Could also use Max, though hopefully your Max won't have the tantrums that Verstappen does

If your DH is called Ayrton, I would probably go against having such an obvious F1 name like Kimi or Mika. May as well just call the kid Grand Prix.

I'm loving all these! Red Bull is my team, and at the moment Max is looking like a great idea. There's already a few Daniels in my family so I can't name him after my main man 😉

@xTinkerhellx that tantrum comment made me laugh! Also I personally love Sebastian as a name, though DP HATES Vettel (he's a Lewis fan....) so it's probably a Vito from him.

I'd go for Sebastian/Max/Charles/Nico personally. Kimi and Valtteri are both cute but I'm not sure if they'd work really.
