Any Formula 1 fans out there? Boy names....

Title says it all really! My other half comes from a family obsessed with formula 1...he was named after Senna and there's a couple more F1 names in his close relatives.

I'd love to carry on the tradition but don't know if it just sounds absurd. I love the idea of Jenson, but is that too much? With a father named Ayrton? 😂

His favourite driver is Kimi Raikkonen...I'm still not convinced by Kimi as a boys name! His argument is it's a very common boys name in Finland. My point...IN FINLAND.

Guess I'm just asking for F1 names that maybe aren't as obvious but still niche? Asking the earth, I know. Any ideas welcome!

My BF has a Jenson and there are 3 others in his year.

If I was naming a boy now I’d go for Sebastien.

Niche or subtle F1 names is a challenge. Funny how many really have stand out names when you think about them, maybe it helps them get noticed. How's about:

@IHaveBrilloHair I LOVE THAT YOUR CATS HAVE MIDDLE NAMES. Absolutely genius! I call my cat Cat when I'm annoyed with her...my way of last naming her, but those names are way cooler!

Ooh, how about Toro Rosso? First and middle name sorted! I actually think it could grow on me....

I think some surnames would work well, like Ricciardo or Hamilton, or you could change them a bit like Magnus(sen), etc.

This thread is amazing! We were having the same conversation! I love Sebastian but my husband has banned it as he's is a Lewis fan also. We also joked about Sterling/Stirling, but thought too much of Archer. Glad to hear we're aren't the only ones having these conversations!

@Mariposa123 you literally just described the majority of our conversations so far!! We still haven't come to a decision, despite all the fabulous suggestions on here. He's still fighting for Kimi, and I'm still fighting for Jenson, Max or Stirling....despite the Archer reference 😂

We have a few shortlisted....though an interesting compromise offered has been Matias-Kimi? Avoiding the kimi first name, still a nice tribute and Matii is a really cute nickname!!!

Mark Webber was always my F1 fave

I would go for Roman as an anglicised version of Romain (Grosjean). Although I’m biased as my OH is a Romain. He hates Grosjean though!
