We've managed to narrow it down to these three but baby's due in a week and we still can't decide for the life of us.

  • Sunshine
  • Symphony
  • Seawillow

I know they're not MN Approved names but hoping some people on here will have similar taste.

We already have a Honeybee and a Starling.

Those names are ridiculous and I dont give a shit if you think I'm rude. Poor kids.

happytobemrsg · 10/06/2018 16:58

Of your choices Seawillow. What about just Willow?

happytobemrsg · 10/06/2018 17:00

But none of them for a boy. Terrible names for a boy

FingerlingUnderling · 10/06/2018 17:04

I'd assumed it was a girl and liked Seawillow. I don't like any of them for a boy.

daisypond · 10/06/2018 17:07

None of them for a boy.
Not my style of names, but for a girl, Sunshine is OK as a middle name in a hippy sort of way.
Symphony - for a girl middle name. If you can have Aria, I don't see why you can't have Symphony.
Seawillow is just odd. It's surely two words - sea willow.

DollyDayScream · 10/06/2018 17:11

Just plain Willow is lovely, your other names would be a burden.

Lemonsherberts · 10/06/2018 17:14

I think you are having a laugh with this thread.
They all sound like adorable names for guinea pigs so if you are a mum to guinea pigs then I think any of these would be lovely.
Otherwise don’t know why you’d set your child up for a lifetime of people making assumptions about them and taking the piss. Although it’s really wrong that people do this, th e worlds a harsh place and sadly that’s what happens when your parents give you a name that sounds like a pet.

Lemonsherberts · 10/06/2018 17:15

Sunny you could maybe just get away with.

Dontrocktheboat · 10/06/2018 17:17

Willow. If it is a girl.

Sonny / Sunny is ok for a boy (sounds same, not my cup of tea but infinitely better than Sunshine.)

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 10/06/2018 17:18

Assuming this is real.

Poor children.

DontMentionTheWar · 10/06/2018 17:28

I think you should change your own name to Seabiscuit and have done with it.

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 10/06/2018 17:57

I can't believe people are actually falling for this. This is very obviously a wind up.

sparklepops123 · 10/06/2018 18:17

"Seawillow, your tea's ready" 🤔

Nothisispatrick · 10/06/2018 18:24

Seawillow is not even a nice word. It is clunky and looks like it should be two separate words, sea willow.

onefootinthegrave · 10/06/2018 18:30

Jesus christ.

susej · 10/06/2018 18:43

Bloody awful! And I’m one of those women that named my son “teddy” Grin

auntyflonono · 10/06/2018 19:06

Symphony!

How about Saccharine?

calzone · 10/06/2018 19:09

Truly hideous

Poor poor kids.

Imagine in this day and age being a 6ft lad doing GCSEs called Seawillow......🙄🙄

TomaytoTomarto · 10/06/2018 19:21

Hi, OP

My kids have unusual names (all word names too), so I am on board with them in general. I love your existing kids' names but not super loving the new offerings.

Have you considered Sonnet?
Calypso or Cadence might also be up your street?
Failing that, Sunbeam is more namey to me, than Sunshine.
I also offer you Solstice - especially perfect if baby is due this month? And Sol is a really wonderful nn, especially for a boy.

I agree with a Pp that Seawillow looks lovely written down but it's a real awkward mouthful to say out loud.

TomaytoTomarto · 10/06/2018 19:23

Just re-read you are due very soon - Solstice would be perfect.

Also Solaris is cool.

And Andromeda! :D

louderthan · 10/06/2018 19:26

Tartrazine
Aspartarmine
Saccharine
Tofu
Kimchi
Prozac

All the above are better than Symphony and Seawillow

HTH

All

Littletreefrog · 10/06/2018 19:29

Symphony

bastardkitty · 10/06/2018 19:30

How about Woodchip, for a boy?

louderthan · 10/06/2018 19:32

Or Pebbledash...?

justanotheruser18 · 10/06/2018 19:37

🤣
