Better name out of Jade or Erin.

For a girl that is, as I've occasionally heard these names used on boys.

Definitely Erin.

I know Erin is officially unisex but I can’t imagine anyone’s given it to a boy since the 1970s, definitely not outside of the US anyway. Jade is definitely a girl’s name, especially in the UK although I could imagine that Jaden (for a boy) could result in Jade as a nn. I don’t think anyone would presume boy with either name though, they are both very feminine.

Personally, I just don’t like Jade. Erin is lovely though!

I like Jade in theory. It's a beautiful colour and gemstone, but it's a name that's been out of favour in the UK for a while (I recall it's popularity falling massively because of the association with Jade Goody from Big Brother) so I think people will react more positively to Erin.

Jade seems a little dated now but perfectly pretty and Erin reminds me of The Waltons so I think of it as an American name.
Out of the two I'd go for Erin.
