Wow they all look stunning!
Dior where or how do you do those big letters they are just great?

Aren't mens cards tricky?I think I've got one or 2 there that could be for men too.But I saw a fabulous card this girl made during a swap I organised and she had put a tag with blobs of textured paint or maybe glue to look like DIY bits IYKWIM and she had used little screw and nail brads and mini tools on it.She told me where you get the brads too they're from www.artcards.co.uk just thought I'd tell you.

RTMTMML · 14/04/2005 14:11

My goodness but you are all very clever girlies! Wow! I'll have to look through my calendar and see who I need to be sending cards to and will have to place my orders here.

Wow!

btw... pricelist?

roisin · 14/04/2005 14:31

It's great - some stunning cards, well done all of you!

Is there another thread somewhere that I've missed telling people what to do if they want to buy some?

If you are serious about selling, you might want to give the individual cards a refno for ease of ordering. A simple price guideline would also help a potential purchaser - e.g. a card with a ref starting A has a starting price of £1.50 (plus postage), B has a starting price of £2.00, etc. (But with a rider that final prices for orders plus P&P need to be negotiated with individuals).

Also some of the folders have large numbers of very similar cards in them. Do you have any flexibility to add further sub-directories within directories, so you could put "see XXX for more of the same"? As a viewer after a while it gets a bit wearing when there are several pages to look at.

I've no idea how much of a pain it is to do these sort of things on yahoo, but thought I'd point out my comments from the point of view of a purchaser.

Having said that, even though I already have a stock of cards - thanks again AQ, I'm sorely tempted to buy some more from what I've seen today. So my comments are meant to be constructive, not critical!

AuntyQuated · 14/04/2005 14:35

roisin, you are right. it will take a little time but nothing too great. i think we are going to start with a Fathers Day album and anyone is welcome to add to it. then you only need to look in one place. we can then follow with b/day album, christening etc.

watch this space

layla · 14/04/2005 15:00

Hi I've took on board some earlier comments and added names to my cards which should help by informing people what they are made of.

tiptop · 14/04/2005 16:22

I've just taken another look at the cards and they are so lovely! I think roisin was spot on with her suggestions. I'm finding it hard to make a list of all my favourites. I think the best way to do it (excuse me thinking aloud here!) is to do a list of all the birthdays I have coming up and look for the card best suited to each, even if it means one or two from several people. I thought of having them not personalised but that seems a shame as often the name or age is an integral part of the design. My usual habit is buying lots of cards I fancy as and when I see them and putting them in boxes marked "birthday cards", "baby cards", etc. If I have personalised ones, I'll have to use the birthday planner book that I was given years ago (after all, the name and age is only relevant once!) and be a bit more organised. Me - organised - never!!!!!

contact any of us to ask for examples

AuntyQuated · 14/04/2005 16:48

tiptop i will try and do something with them tomorrow to organize them better but need to check with the ohters first.
we will post any changes on here

tiptop · 14/04/2005 16:49

Could I put in a request for a few more age 9 plus cards, too, please? Dh and I have 13 nieces and nephews aged from 6 months to 19 years and the older ones are so hard to buy cards for. I liked the games controller one, but as most of the families live in the same village, I can only send it once as the others will already have seen it. Their hobbies include:- dancing, rugby, fishing, music, sport and countryside stuff.

P.S. Have I won the contrary customer award, yet?!

tiptop · 14/04/2005 16:51

Thanks AuntyQuated.

kkgirl · 14/04/2005 16:54

AQ

Once I have taken my photos, and have JPEg's , how do I put my cards onto the gallery?

AuntyQuated · 14/04/2005 17:40

if you go to the gallery you will see a button marked create an album, click and follow the on screen instructions. once you created the album, go into it, it will say album empty now click add photo. i would recommend uploading no more than 3 at a time as it seems to crash, even then the process takes ages so don't give up.

if you put them in the wrong place, don't worry, i can easily move them around

good luck

AuntyQuated · 14/04/2005 17:40

tiptop- i will pass on your request to the othere.
was it you who emailed my btw?

Jayzmummy · 14/04/2005 17:43

It might be a good idea if any users want to order cards that they let us know their MNet name....I have received a few emails today and I dont know who they are off because they have used their RL names!!!!

Tip Top....I think you would find that most of us can offer a custom made card service.....i know that we have all had special requests and have made cards with specific themes when asked. I have photographs of all the cards I have ever made....if I posted all of my designs there would far to many to look at.

I think a system where we can add our cards to categories would be better.....that way if a user is looking for a Female Adult card then they could just click on an album which contains only our designs which would be suitable.

It would save lots of time having to loook at each individuals album.

would love to look at - and hopefully purchase - some of your cards BUT when I click on link given I get an error message - any ideas?
