Hehehehe. No, I'm far too paranoid about doing/sending something cr*p.

SD

Come on, I must admit that I feel a bit inferior to lots of the other cardmakers, but everyone is welcome and its only a bit of fun, and you learn different things.
We have just done the Mans Cards theme, and that was the first time I have done one, so you have to learn how to do it, it makes you think, and expand your horizons.
Come on, give it a go, you might even enjoy it!!!!

SoupDragon · 29/04/2005 15:51

Oh, I know it's fun but that's part of my character - can'te bear the though (real or imagined!) that someone will think "What on earth has she done??" IYSWIM.

I@m only doing this as it seems to be the perfect craft for a serial crafter like me who cna't settle on one thing. I might even get to use the huge stack of large sheets of handmade Thai paper with petals in it, Japanese lace paper and assorted other papers I've just rediscovered in my old Calligraphy store! I've just looked at it all and it's gorgeous - I love paper

SoupDragon · 29/04/2005 15:51

"can'te bear the though" = "Can't bear the thought"

PEACHYCLAIR

where are you? speak to me

Dingle · 30/04/2005 15:50

dior, if youwant to email me with your pic I will have a go at putting it the right way up for you and reload it back into the "loading" album ready for AQ.

Out of interest, are you pics scanned or loaded from a digital camera. If I load in from my camera, I have an option to change which way up they are as I load them onto the PC. You should also get an option to do this when you scan them in.

layla · 30/04/2005 18:35

Hi folks,I've added 10 more piccies if you're interested. The handstitched and dragonfly brad one I'm sending in to Simply Cards and Papercraft mag to see if they want to put it on their readers gallery page.
Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Hi Dior, I have turned your card around and added it to the men's card gallery. The original is still in there too, AQ will have to rearrange them I don't have permission to do that.
I like your card, I was wondering how manly a mans card has to be - I was thinking of grandad when I made mine, the clematis and wellies being familiar items to him since he is a nurseryman.

Did you do anything with those extra bps I sent,I did some market research there and asked dh what he would like on a card - he said a landscape of some kind.... perhaps we should do some market research and ask the opinions of men... what do they want to see on their cards, which cards appeal to them?

I think all your cards are lovely. It's quite addictive isn't it ??! I find myself looking for suitable bits & bobs where ever I go ! Like a magpie !! I'll have to take a few pics of the ones I've done so far! Trouble is, I have the ideas - but not the know how yet !!

Dingle · 01/05/2005 19:19

Sometimes it having the ideas that is the hardest thing Whizzz. Your best bet is to just have a go, a lot of it is trial and error, playing with a few ideas, re-arranging, swapping different colours until you have come up with what you want!

If you haven't started already, have a go, but be warned, it is relaxing BUT very, very addictive. It seems madness to be collecting like a magpie without putting it all to good use!!

layla · 02/05/2005 21:03

Hi Cheekychops,I love your cards. The big writing is really grand and I love the little flower suspended from the letters.the baby card is so sweet.

tiptop · 02/05/2005 21:11

Dingle - Sorry to hijack the thread for a mo, but I wanted to let you know that I'm having PC problems and I might not be contactable on e-mail for a few days. If my e-mail will work for me, I'll send you an e-mail with my tel no so that you can get in touch if you don't get a response from my by e-mail. Thanks.

Dingle · 02/05/2005 21:23

Shouldn't be a problem tiptop, I've done the hockey card (take a peek on the gallery!) and the twin booties, just embroidering the "dad" card now, and then working down the list!

layla · 02/05/2005 21:46
