girls, just wanted to say how fab all your cards are. I am looking for christening cards and would be putting a decent sized order in and also thank you cards perhaps. there are no ideas of prices, do we email individually? can you give me a hint as to how much they might be? I think they are all great and am very of your initiative!

I don't have so many up yet, but I ask £1.25 + 30p postage.

suedonim · 16/04/2005 20:50

Wow, just spent some time browsing your cards and they are seriously good! Well done.

Jayzmummy · 16/04/2005 22:25

bosscat.
If you go over to the small business section there is an advert from the Mumsnet Crafters entitled make your time go further. On this thread are the addys of those who have a yahoo account.....you can contact most of the crafters via their email addys which are listed.
If you want to contact a crafter who has yet to open a yahoo account then you need to CAT them here.
Hope that helps!!
JM.

early on some of us decided that to add prices was way too complex as we all charge different prices for different cards.
prices are controlled by the materials used, the time a particular design takes and the amount of skill needed. then some will give you a discount for bigger orders.

to give you a better idea you need to contact the 'crafter' direct. i will repost email addresses soon (need to check it's OK to put them on here) to make it easier.

tiptop, I tried emailing you yesterday morning but it has come back this morning with an error message. I've tried re-sending, if you don't get it please let me know!

Munchkinola · 17/04/2005 11:20

Hi AQ

When the cards go into the categories will we still know who to contact if we wnat to buy any of them?

Ty

AuntyQuated · 17/04/2005 11:39

the cards will need to be renamed...i have started doing mine...so all of my cards names begin with AQ. i will email the others asking them to do something similar.
i think it's best if we aslo leave them in our individual albums...that way if someone is ordering a wedding card from XYZ they can look at XYZ's other cards to see if there's anyhting else they fancy without incurring extra postage.
how does that sound to everyone?

AuntyQuated · 17/04/2005 11:40

oh, thnak you dingle

Munchkinola · 17/04/2005 12:58

Sounds super efficient to me, I'm well impressed with the whole thing

Peachyclair · 17/04/2005 13:35

Just to let you know I have changed my 'name' from Punnet to Peachyclair. Was starting to annoy me a bit. Thank you!!

silliebillie · 17/04/2005 13:51

I just wanted to say a very big Thank You to Auntyquated and Jayzmummy. I received my cards from you yesterday. I was impressed by the speed in which you both forwarded my cards.

They are wonderful and the care that you have taken in making them is spectacular.

I am truely amazed by your skill and slightly green with envy that I could not even begin to attempt to make anything as beautiful.

How long have you both been making your cards and is it something that you have both been trained to do?

Thanks again to you both. I will be back for more in the very near future. A very happy customer.

AuntyQuated · 17/04/2005 22:18

sorry Sillie Billie - i've jsut spotted this.

i'm glad you're pleased with your cards.

i have been making cards for almost 2 years, but i'm not sure about JM...she's a night bird and will probably be around later.
i got interested after doing a craft cousre at a Surestart centre!! and just got the bug!

we are about to add Fathers' Day cards soon, (i think it was you that was asking about it)...watch out for them.

thanks again for the compliments

tiptop · 18/04/2005 09:28

Auntyquated and Dingle - I posted a cheque off to each of you this morning.

jayzmummy - I haven't quite got my order ready yet, but will do in a day or two.

Dingle · 18/04/2005 09:39

Thanks tiptop!!

AuntyQuated · 18/04/2005 10:22

Jayzmummy · 18/04/2005 12:48

Awww Sillie Billie that was lovely...Thank You. Im gald you liked your cards....I know I enjoyed making them.
I have always been a bit arty farty and as a child would always be making something.....my mother would save up all the empty cartons for me....I was a master junk modeller!!!!
I started making cards in January of this year....not long at all really....I did dabble a little a couple of years ago and made my own christmas cards....you should have a go....you'll enjoy it...but be warned its very addictive!!!!

I've just been in to have a look at the Cards. The fathers day cards are brilliant, I should make mine myself, but might cheat and order one!!

Dingle · 18/04/2005 19:30

kkgirl!!!

Why don't you adapt one of you challenge cards?
You have all this new experience of making men's cards.....what are you like!

I agree they look brilliant!!

kkgirl · 18/04/2005 20:25

Dingle

I'm just so impressed with the standard of the cards and the designs.
I'm a beginner as you know, and I'm not artistic, certainly not in the painting side of things, but they are just so good, credit where credit is due.

Peachyclair · 19/04/2005 14:24

Jayzmummy,

For goodness sake

DONT MENTION THE JUNK MODELLING. Enough with one obsessive junk modeller!!!!

The carfds are all great. got my final package today, will try to make ASAP but we have a carnival video from 1990 to watch tonight.

Yippee. Not.

Lizzylou · 19/04/2005 15:22

I started cardmaking last year (DH bought me a glass painting Christmas card kit as we are now housebound with new DS!) but these cards have inspired me to be more creative and inventive...they are fab! How talented you all are!
I can see that that ironing pile will never go down..............

Dingle · 19/04/2005 15:49

Lizzylou! What's ironing?
