isn't it such a motivation when we feel other people are watching us crafting misty. i tend to keep wip stuff close to my chest as i don't like to feel under pressure, but at the same time someone else looking over my shoulder keeps me working much more diligently. that's one of the reasons blogging's so much fun, getting feedback spurs you on.
hope your kitchen's on its way to being fixed up lk. years ago we had a rosemary bush in a pot that had an ants nest in it. i can still remember the moment of sheer horror when we emptied it out of its pot , so i can imagine having that in your home must be horrific. fingers crossed for the damp too, my folks place is a romantic liability where you daren't strip a wall or lift a floorboard for fear of what you may find...
loved the cake stand genie, and your party sounds fab - sounds like you'd better sign up for a pgce pronto whenever i wonder aloud about doing something you enjoy for a job and whether it takes the fun out of it dp jsut gives me a withering look. he plays with computers all day and is happy as a pig in shit
dingle you sound overwhelmed. hope some card making helps you feel a bit more in control and like you're making tangible progress.
i dragged dd1 to see some weavers today, hoping it would get her inspired to work on her little loom but unfortunately i got deep into conversation about sheds and heddles and she got bored stiff. oops. she also pointed out (perceptively) that the loom was really for me even though i call it hers ah well, she had fun winding the shuttle the other day so as long as i get it all warped up and ready in advance (which takes hours apparently) i'm sure she'll humour me and play for a little while at least.
