Oh Dingle. I'm still that you have to go through all that. Obviously I've never been through it - but having to look at your dd like that. It's just cruel.
Hope your mum and dad get the car sorted - again not fair. I had someone shunt into me (I was still in the car) he denied all knowledge too. Buggered up my back too. b%£%£%ds!
Anyway sending a hug to you.

meridian · 14/08/2008 07:34

sending all around apparently we all need them... no crafting done but we did pack about three quarters of all the pictures on the walls...thats the thing about beign married to a photographer lots of tuffing pictures to have to bubble wrap .. argh...

off to gullivers kingdom today.. the matlock bath one... should be hell fun... depending on how much rain gets us..

mistypeaks · 14/08/2008 07:58

I remember going to Gullivers Kingdom when I was at primary school (I think it was the Matlock one). The headteacher had to virtually push me up the hill as I was too weak to get up it (I'd been off school for about a month and it was my first week back). I remember my apple from my lunch bag rolling down the hill and nearly taking out everybody behind us . That was a good day.

Miaou · 14/08/2008 09:33

misty you make me smile!

I will blog today, I will I will ... not yet though

You saying you were pushed up the hill reminds me of when I went to Uni - I had ME and struggled to do a lot of things but was desperate to make the trip up to Edinburgh with a group of friends and they all promised to help me when things got too hard. Anyway everyone wanted to go up Arthur's Seat so I said I would stay behind, but no they insisted that I should come, "even if we have to carry you" which, er they did - I only weighed about six stone at the time but the two guys who carried me were knackered by the time they got to the top (but wouldn't let anyone else carry me, lol )

vInTaGeVioLeT · 14/08/2008 12:03

what the heck is gullivers kingdom?

mistypeaks · 14/08/2008 12:19

It's a kiddies theme park. As I remember there is a town that is lilliput size that you walk around and feel like a giant (hence gullivars kingdom bit). There are 3 of them one in Milton Keynes one in Matlock Bath and one . . . erm . . . somewhere else!!!

Miaou · 14/08/2008 14:06

Ok, have blogged my lovely fabric!

Tillyboo · 14/08/2008 16:43

Oh dear, maybe all the mojo's have gone abroad to get some sunshine ?

Been raining on and off all day but the sun has actually come out now - although there is a sodding great black cloud on the horizon.

Anyway, have blogged my latest piece but I'm not going to do much else as my mouth is pretty sore still and I'm feeling a bit fed up now.

Sending big hugs to those feeling down and a search party out for the missing mojo's. Hope they come back soon .

My big red velvety sofa is calling me now ...

Beautiful earrings Dior!!

My crafty mojo has got up and left the building! What's going on? I blame it on the summer holidays and lack of sunshine

Get moved quick Meri and unpack yours

the poison apple tree in thread very please with it.

vInTaGeVioLeT · 15/08/2008 09:57

flippin' heck Meridian - i love your embroidery - i think you've found your money spinner! Bet they'll sell great on etsy/folksy.

Whizzz · 15/08/2008 10:07

I will post some pics of my latest tiles later on. I've also 'double glazed' some of them to make them more 'domey' & they look quite nice. Hopefully I will add a few more bits the my Folksy shop as the sun is shining & maybe I can take some pics outside!
However I have to tidy up this morning as DS has a friend over this afternoon

meridian · 15/08/2008 10:15

thank you vintage... not sure how to display them... if you like I'll do one for you if you send me a few buttons.. will do a button thief for you with vintage buttons...

whizzz- will post books/pages to you when I go to post office in a bit... am doing some packing now.. honest...

Whizzz · 15/08/2008 10:24

No probs Meri you must be rushed off your feet! There's really no rush

mistypeaks · 15/08/2008 10:30

Meri - When you get really good you'll have to do me a yarn lady! I love her. (mind you I also love the reaper and pirate owl too)

meridian · 15/08/2008 10:34

i'm rushed jsut not off my feet... running low on boxes and not sure what to box next... i suppose some linen things... then some kitcheny thigns

Whizzz · 15/08/2008 20:00

I have blogged a few more tiles - although not put the bails on.
This is making me root through all my old card making stuff looking for materials!!

I've got ideas now for all sorts of layered effects!
The thing is the tiles themselves are really light, they sort of don't feel substantial enough???? I think I need to 'test wear' them more....

mistypeaks · 15/08/2008 20:08

I'm due to do a paper 'cull' soon. If I see anything of interest I'll send it your way Whizz. (I'm sure I've got some chinese stuff somewhere..)

Whizzz · 15/08/2008 20:09

thanks Dior is what I meant to say!
