The struggle to finish (and occasionally start)

Up front: I am not good emotionally right now

But: I finished about 5 projects last week/week before as I got access to a photographer to do a shoot - the projects had been lying around for weeks/months

Since then I have been loloping round doing nothing half-heartedly trying to sort and tidy

It's ridiculous

How do other creators keep on track and finish stuff

& how do you decide which of the many projects you should start next!!

I finished upcycling a dress

Today I finished a visible mend on some dungarees I was asked to do in April!

Little jobs are getting done but it's very slow!

Disappeared on mine too.

I finished fingerless gloves for DP.

I replaced my sewing machine and have finished a quilt top.
I've sewn 2 fleece blankets together to act as wadding because I'm cheap.
I've ordered dye so I can turn some flannel herringbone fabric I have in large quantities into the back of the quilt.
So it's shaping up into a soon-to-be-finished project.

So two years on, I made the wax cloths and finally sorted dd's quilt

I still haven't finished that green/cream thing down thread

It looks lovely - do you think you will go back to it?

I am slightly shocked at myself for taking 12 years to finish a quilt.
It's excellent and I'm chuffed but each time I went back to it, there was another complicated thing to do.
It's large double bed size so had to be hand quilted as my machine wasn't having it.

Do we get to see pictures? I can't quilt at all!

Actually I got it out to look at my mistakes about 2 weeks ago and I am remaking the jacket in another fabric to see if I can save it!

It is too big to photograph all at once.
